10/05/2026: Very friendly staff but the room wasn't clean and didn't work properly with a broken vent in the bathroom and an air conditioner so old I asked them to turn it off abundant breakfast and very friendly reception

16/04/2026: Overall, my experience wasn’t bad, but there were several issues. The room didn’t have a chair to sit on, the fridge was turned off, and there was no water provided. Before arriving, I asked about slippers and was told they would be in the room, but I didn’t find any upon check-in. The breakfast quality was not very good and there wasn’t much variety. However, the reception and breakfast staff were overall good.”

The tomato and saffron pasta is delicious, and the fish (sea bass, scallops, and scampi) are absolutely spectacular. 16/07/2026: Terrible service. Ordered water and Coke, but they never arrived. When I pointed this out to the curly-haired waitress (who had been chatting the whole time with the table across from me, a family and a little girl), she made a face and looked at me furiously. As soon as I put my card on the card machine and paid, she stormed off, angrily, with a furious look on her face. The food was good, but the service was below par, but since that's not an option, Unspeakable!! I gave it one star!!!!!

02/06/2026: I've been frequenting this restaurant for years, and unfortunately, the constant changes in management have led to a significant decline in quality. The latest management, in particular, doesn't seem to live up to the previous ones. Table service is slow and inattentive, with excessive wait times and little attention to customers. Furthermore, many of the signature dishes that made the restaurant special (tagliolini allo Squero) have been modified or replaced, losing much of their charm. Another small but not insignificant detail: the waiters under the original management were elegantly dressed and well-groomed (under the previous management, they were in shirts and had a certain bearing). The pizza also disappointed me: not being cooked in a wood-fired oven, it's rather dry and flavorless. Finally, there's a noticeable lack of attention to the dining room and the overall ambiance, which appears less refined than in the past. The original owner's style is missing. I hope the management addresses these concerns and restores the restaurant to its former standards.

Open for lunch from Monday to Friday..... Friday lunch with fish always from the fixed menu at 17 euros.... Generous and high quality portions... If you are in the area it is the ideal place for a lunch characterised by authenticity..... Kind and attentive staff... Compliments to Mrs. Bianca and all the staff.... Promoted with full marks....!!!!

13/04/2026: This historic Modena restaurant, known as Grotta Azzurra at the turn of the century, also served as a pizzeria, was already making waves for its quality seafood. Returning after more than twenty years, I found a more modern venue. The pizza is no longer there, but the seafood is still excellent. Simple, flavorful recipes, excellent ingredients, and a very interesting wine list. So, what can I say? HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

23/06/2026: A restaurant near the village of Campofranco. I never expected such high levels of organization and attention to detail in the preparation of the dishes. High-quality ingredients are used in the seafood menu, along with flavorful first courses and some original appetizers. Compliments to the chef and owners.

05/07/2026: I don't know how you can call this a "restaurant." It's practically a canteen; you have to make do with everything. There's a person whose chair is glued to the register and won't move, two waitresses, one of whom is very unpleasant. They don't even explain how everything works. I waited over half an hour for the second course, and only when I got up was I told that when you finish a dish, you have to let them know. Bugs crawling into the dishes, they said. Mixed fried fish with only calamari and vegetables, Taranto-style mussels, inedible. Plus, the word "with toasted bread" wasn't written on the plate. I love chili pepper, but it was so over the top, to say the least. Disgraceful service. From 8:30 PM, they left at 10:15 PM. Never again.

Although the menu features a wide variety of meats, our absolute favorite remains the fresh fish and grilled seafood: everything is incredibly fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The presentation is meticulous and beautiful, and you can tell it's a family-run restaurant where everyone puts their heart into their work—the atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and authentic. We highly recommend it to anyone: you won't regret it! It will also become your new regular spot.

14/06/2026: Excellent place with great quality pizza

06/06/2026: I went to Il Gabbiano last week with my wife. I had spaghetti with clams, and she had pizza. Everything was excellent, especially the spaghetti, so much so that we went back yesterday because my wife absolutely had to try it. The result was identical, truly excellent and generous with both pasta and clams. The only small complaint was the long wait. Luckily, both times, Stefano (the guy who served us) made the wait less boring with his kindness and attentiveness. A little tip: if you know the wait might be long, it doesn't take long to bring a "courtesy" piadina. Still, highly recommended, and if you can, have Stefano serve you!

25/07/2026: We ate fresh, well-cooked fish. The cleanliness was impeccable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

11/07/2026: At midday, lunch at the affiliated companies is normal, nothing special... in the evening, it's worth trying, I've heard very positive things about dinner.
