22/01/2026: Our visit to Osteria San Francesco on June 8th, 2025, was a wonderful experience. Francesco welcomed us warmly and offered us seats on the terrace. I had the impression he was a little surprised that we wanted to eat there with 10 people. He immediately called his brother Massimo, who prepared the kitchen. Several other helpers also arrived to assist Massimo with the cooking. The Osteria is somewhat hidden away on a small, steeply rising road. The dining rooms aren't very large, but there's also a grotto, a room carved directly into the mountainside. Francesco and Massimo are very friendly and they made our evening truly enjoyable. The food, prepared by Massimo, was excellent. It's safe to say that the Osteria team knows how to cook. If we're ever in the area again, we will definitely return.

The day, spent in the company of my wife and a couple of friends, was made even more special by the enchanting scenery, creating a bright and relaxing atmosphere, ideal for slowly savoring every moment. The service is distinguished by a natural kindness and impeccable professionalism: attentive, meticulous, and elegant, yet never intrusive. Everything is enhanced by a pleasant touch of humor and charm, measured and intelligent, which contributes to a relaxed and authentic atmosphere. The cuisine is the true protagonist: delicate and balanced dishes, crafted around noble, top-quality ingredients. Each course is enhanced by excellent, refined, and harmonious plating, pleasing the eye even before the palate. Also worthy of special mention is the extensive and carefully curated wine cellar, packed with prestigious labels and interesting discoveries, designed to expertly and sensitively complement the dishes, offering pairings worthy of the gastronomic offerings. Overall, a wonderful culinary experience, where the view, service, cuisine, and wine cellar interact in perfect harmony. A lunch that leaves a lasting impression and one I can only recommend to anyone seeking quality, elegance, and a true passion for hospitality.

28/01/2026: We visited Zia Elvira's and had a great first impression. The restaurant is easy to find, well air-conditioned, and the atmosphere is extremely welcoming, almost family-like. The food is truly delicious, but a special mention goes to the presentation of the appetizers, served inside decorative shells: a touch of class that, besides being beautiful to look at, allows you to savor each course without mixing the flavors. The staff is extremely friendly and the owner is delightful; at the end of the meal, he surprised us with a truly excellent homemade dessert. We felt pampered from start to finish. Highly recommended!

08/12/2025: A seafood restaurant with an overall good rating, but with a few flaws. The quality/price ratio is decent; the dishes are generous, but not all are of the highest quality. The staff is friendly, although the service is occasionally lacking in attention or delays. The location itself is a downside (not a great one, to be honest). Overall, it's a positive experience.

08/02/2026: An excellent experience at the Alle Colonne Restaurant/Pub in Caulonia (RC). The atmosphere is welcoming and refined, the staff is friendly and always available...you really feel at home...The pizzas are excellent, with a light dough and quality ingredients, as are the dishes, prepared with care and flavor, especially those from the Caulonia tradition. An ideal place to spend a pleasant evening, and more, with friends. Highly recommended!

21/02/2026: After a conference, my family and I found ourselves having lunch at Mimmo's. The place is small and charming, with a calm and quiet atmosphere that encourages relaxation. The dishes are excellent and plentiful, with aromas that, in my opinion, are exquisite. We will definitely be back.

29/01/2026: I live in the North and I returned to Mimmo's after 10 years since the last time... Everything was delicious, the quality of the ingredients was excellent and the preparation was spectacular. (After years of restaurants, I didn't feel thirsty because of the excessive salt.) Superlative service with the owner and two really kind and capable guys in the dining room... Fair and honest prices... I'll be back and hopefully within another 10 years.

16/01/2026: An elegant, refined restaurant, with excellent food, impeccably presented and served. The waiters were kind and courteous, and the atmosphere was comfortable and elegant. I appreciated the towels in the bathrooms (in addition to paper towels) and the sanitary pads in the women's restrooms.

19/10/2025: “Incipit” is almost a hidden gem, tucked away from the busy High Street and tourist-heavy areas. This spot comes highly recommended by locals — and for good reason. It has a gorgeous outdoor terrace with views over the piazza, but the real wow factor comes when you choose to dine indoors… in the cave! Yes, a beautifully lit, cosy cave with an incredible atmosphere that makes the whole experience feel special. The service was exceptional — friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The menu is fantastic, offering a perfect mix of local favourites and creative twists. We went all out and enjoyed the full experience: antipasto, primo, and secondo. The tuna tartare was outstanding, bursting with freshness and flavour. I had the Fileja al ’Nduja ragu, which was absolutely mind-blowing — and high on my Calabria culinary wish list. My partner chose the hazelnut risotto, which was equally exceptional. For mains, I had the pistachio-crusted seabass while my partner had the cod — both dishes beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. Highly recommended if you want an authentic, high-quality dining experience away from the tourist traps. Grazie mille per il fantastico servizio 🙏👌👏

30/09/2025: I'm sharing my very positive experience! We were four of us at this restaurant on July 11, 2025. The welcome was typically touristy, but the restaurant actually offered impeccable service, good food, and excellent value. It's a shame about the portions, which were really small.

03/03/2026: A lovely, welcoming place with delicious local dishes, including a wide selection of meat cuts. The quality/price ratio is more than excellent. The four of us stopped here on a long road trip, as it's very conveniently located off the highway. It was an unexpected surprise. Definitely worth a try.
