I'd like to give a lot of extra points for the bathroom—it smells amazing, it's spotless, and I've never seen disposable toothbrushes, diapers for babies and adults, in short, everything you need in case of an emergency! Really, congratulations!

26/02/2026: I just left the pizzeria. I ordered a marinara pizza with capers and was brought a pizza with no toppings and just tomato sauce. I wanted to ask the waitress why, but I was upstairs, we were alone, and we couldn't call anyone except downstairs. Only after ten minutes did a waitress finally come and I reported the incident. Her response: "I said it downstairs." She never came back. When I finished, I went downstairs to pay and asked what had happened. The owner's response: "I was ordered a marinara-only pizza (which wasn't on the menu). Now, I would have expected her to call the waitress and apologize, but she didn't show up. At the counter, the owner didn't call her and told me she made a mistake and I can't stone her because she was new to the job. I would have expected an apology from her and would have understood, but I don't blame her, but rather the owner's arrogant response, who defended her and, in his opinion, fixed everything with a small discount. Conclusion: Poor service and an arrogant owner. My opinion: I strongly advise against this pizzeria, and be sure to check that your order is respected because there's little oversight in the dining room, and if you complain, the owner doesn't care. I feel sorry for the other waitresses, who were certainly better trained, but who, in the end, will all be affected and unfairly judged. 25/01/2026: I went for lunch with a group of twenty. Everything was delicious, from appetizers to dessert. The Amarone risotto was excellent, as were the main courses: thin and flavorful steak, perfectly cooked to medium rare, and perfectly cooked chicken. Everything was delicious, and I could have asked for seconds. The wait staff was helpful and impeccable. The rustic atmosphere was appreciated. Highly recommended.

04/01/2026: The goose ravioli were delicious, but the spaghetti with quail wasn't, which was rather poorly cooked. The rosemary tagliata was good, as was the goose leg...and again, the guinea fowl with chestnuts was dry in several places. Everything was a bit unbalanced in salt. The biggest disappointment was when, what I believe to be the owner, picked out a wine of his choice and decided that was what we should drink, without offering anything else, and poured it. A sensational choice for a place that seems to place a lot of emphasis on service.

04/01/2026: SUBSTANTIAL FINE CUISINE We've been returning to Gellius Restaurant for years, and each time we find it reassuring. The cuisine is classy, ​​precise, and distinctive. The open kitchen produces masterfully crafted masterpieces. The service is friendly and never intrusive, and the wine selection by the glass is consistent with the dishes. We were won over by the carpione sea bass, the tagliatelle with cavolo nero and hare, the spaghetti alla chitarra with truffle, and above all, the pigeon, which alone is worth the trip. The flavors are international yet firmly rooted in the region. The bill is substantial but absolutely in line with the offerings. The Michelin star is certainly no accident.

01/03/2026: I feel it's important to highlight an issue that deserves further attention. After ordering side dishes, using the single-serving sauces available at the table, we noticed an unusual aftertaste in the condiments. Upon checking the packaging, we discovered that the ketchup had expired; some packets even had an expiration date of 2025. We immediately informed the wait staff, who removed only some of the packets from the table, leaving the rest. The fries already covered with sauce were not replaced, and we received no explanation or apology for the incident. Beyond the incident itself, it's important to emphasize that serving expired products can pose health risks: a more sensitive person or someone with certain conditions could even feel unwell. For this reason, checking expiration dates should never be overlooked, especially when dealing with foods intended for immediate consumption. More scrupulous attention to detail would avoid unpleasant situations that, in other cases, could lead to more formal disputes. We are reporting this incident in a constructive spirit, trusting that it is an isolated incident, and hoping for a tangible improvement in oversight and customer service.

The atmosphere is welcoming and refined, with a lovely, relaxing feel. The service was excellent: attentive, professional, and always with a smile. 02/01/2026: In the quiet and tranquil Sant Elena district we were recommended this neighbourhood gem. We went back four times during our trip - they accommodated our three year old with his favourite - pomodoro pasta and we snacked on delicious and varied Cicchetti with Campari spritzes (my sons obsession with the polpette continues long after our visit) whilst we waited for our mains. Attentive and swift service; good value and wonderful location. Be sure to make a reservation!
