24/06/2025: I went there just to eat... the staff is polite but the food is questionable. I asked for a first course with truffles and was told that the sauce was 'bought', so I decided on ricotta and spinach cappellacci with porcini mushrooms! That sauce was also bought and had a tasteless flavour, the porcini mushroom was non-existent (not even the smell could be smelled, it was probably mixed with the mushrooms). The other dish was a carbonara, passable, there was no typical 'sauce' of fresh egg, so it was dry. The price of the dishes was average for the place but the quality is not the same as other nearby places, and in any case I don't even buy ready-made sauce at home and I expect a restaurant to avoid using it, especially in areas where in theory you eat well by tradition.

25/04/2025: Very close to Assisi, nice apartment. The park is very large with part reserved for the swimming pool overlooking Assisi, part for the barbecue... the owner Eddy is very kind

22/03/2025: Era da tempo che avevamo puntato questo locale, ma per un motivo o l'altro non eravamo mai riusciti a realizzare questo progetto, comunque credeteci: l'attesa è stata ampiamente ripagata!! Il signor Carlo e tutto il suo staff, si prodigano per farti sentire a proprio agio, cibo superlativo! Abbiamo preso l'antipastissimo, un vero tripudio di sapori, poi la carpa regina in porchetta ed il tegamaccio ai funghi, tutto buonissimo!! Il locale non è grandissimo, ma è ben sfruttato e nel rispetto delle distanze che ancora oggi è bene mantenere memori di un passato non molto lontano. Esperienza positivissima, grazie sig. Carlo!!

30/03/2025: Siamo ritornati dopo diverso tempo e abbiamo trovato le stesse ottime cose, accoglienza, qualità delle pietanze, cura, pulizia, attenzione. Gnocchi e Pappardelle alla Castellucciana, Sacrpetta e Formaggi al forno, Dolci di ricotta e caffè....superlativi, buon vino buona genziana e buon conto. Bravi alla prossima

16/02/2025: Abbiamo mangiato in questo locale per tre volte tra fine gennaio e febbraio prima di scrivere questa recensione. Questo per poter essere certi che la bellissima impressione avuta inizialmente, fosse poi confermata nel tempo. La cucina è veramente Castellucciana, le pietanze sono preparate con prodotti locali e naturali (che si possono anche acquistare nel locale). Sia i primi piatti che i dolci preparati con la ricotta sono veramente speciali. Si mangia con vista sul Monte Vettore e su Pian Grande (impagabile). Elemento molto importante, da non trascurare nella scelta dei locali dove si va per rilassarsi e godersi qualche emozione, è la gentilezza e la simpatia dei due titolari sia durante il pasto ma anche in fase di prenotazione del tavolo. Credo sia una tappa imperdibile in un giro da quelle parti. È consigliato prenotare perché il locale non è molto grande (anche se credo che con la primavera metteranno anche dei tavoli all'esterno). C'è anche un'area di parcheggio al di sotto del ristorante stesso.

14/03/2025: A Visit to a splendid location. We were welcomed by Federico who accompanied us to the restaurant where we tasted the production of their Extra Virgin Olive Oil. We chose the monocultivar Cerguepapa. Truly extraordinary oil of the highest quality. Of course we took home 12 bottles. A fantastic condiment. Excellent discovery. Highly recommended!!!!

17/07/2025: Definitely not Michelin star quality, poor service, we were forgotten. Not worth visiting. Nice Ore of Todi over the hills though. Ps then the bill came, was completely wrong… other peoples meals on ours??

06/06/2025: Di passaggio a Todi facciamo una visita a questo ristorante . Location esternamente discreta , con interni però un po’ retro’ . Vista la giornata ancora freddina si pranza dentro , veniamo messi in una sala piccola con un unico commensale oltre a noi mentre nel lata sala più grande , due soli tavoli con 5-6 persone totali . Scegliamo un antipasto di carciofo in tre cotture , un prosciutto di cinta con tigelle calde e poi come secondi una lombata e un agnello .. Lunghissime attese circa 40 minuti fra la comanda e l’arrivo degli antipasti altrettanto o poco meno attenderemo per i secondi. L’antipasto di carciofo in tre cotture abbastanza piacevole mentre il prosciutto di cinta era molto salato e le tigelle erano 3 di numero della dimensione poco più di un tappo di bottiglia lasciando stupiti per l’ inusuale dimensione. Per secondi , la lombata non e’ piaciuta alla mia compagna , poiché simile alla fettina ai ferri di vecchi ricordi casalinghi , il mio agnello di microscopica porzione non e’ commentabile ed e’ stato lasciato quasi intonso . Conto 95 euro con 2 bicchieri di rosso locale . Restiamo perplessi ma non troppo , dalle tante recensioni positive anche se alla luce dell’esperienza notando le tante recensioni da parte di soggetti con all’attivo oltre 1000 recensioni la nostra idea , chiarissima ce la siamo fatta . Inutile dire che la location meriterebbe ben altra cucina e servizio poiché qui non ci siamo proprio.

26/05/2025: Hemos vuelto muchas veces a esta hermosa villa en los últimos veinte años. Dirigida por la familia durante muchas generaciones, la bienvenida siempre es cálida para todos. La comida es excelente, de temporada y preparada con cuidado. Elección de vino, nunca decepciona. El servicio es excepcional. Todo dentro de esta hermosa villa con su autenticidad situada en impresionantes jardines. Por supuesto que volveremos. Gracias.

06/05/2025: Cena ottima, prodotti della zona, personale gentile , simpatico e preparato. Prezzo un po' alto, ma la qualità si paga, giustamente. Carciofi ottimi come la carne e le tagliatelle fatte in casa. Ottimi gli amari.

21/06/2025: Beautiful hotel, charming and completely original. The rooms have a fantastic view of the village and the surrounding valleys. A terrace overlooking Umbria. The restaurant led by Chef Giancarlo Polito is unmissable: with his highly trained staff he always manages to surprise with exciting and high-level proposals, with excellent raw materials. The cellar is superb. If that wasn't enough, connected to the Locanda there is Tipico, a 100% Umbrian trattoria that is truly one of a kind.

18/07/2025: Buona la pizza è simpatico il proprietario con la moglie….ha diversi piatti, con dei buoni tipi di carne e le patate con le cipolle a rosto il top…. Ci ritornerò a breve

27/06/2025: Attentive and kind welcome, menu with typical dishes aesthetically cared for, portions not exaggerated, tasting of 3 evo oils of own production proposed before starting, homemade bread, a wine list with more than a few interesting bottles, a pleasant and ventilated outdoor space and a quiet atmosphere. TrattOliva has everything you need to spend a nice evening as a couple or in company.

24/06/2025: Today I ate the cappellacci with zucchini and stracciatella and the zucchini and flowers in tempera served with a light and tasty sauce. Exquisite. Excellent service. Highly recommended

Alessandro and his mother welcomed us with a rare kindness, the kind that warms the heart. 26/05/2025: Siamo stati per caso in questo locale piccolo ma confortevole ed è stato amore a prima vista dopo che abbiamo mangiato uno stupendo tagliere misto con vari affettati e formaggi, bruschette con l’olio e bruschette con tartufo oltre alla classica torta al testo e dei panini col salame. Possibilità di acquistare in loco dei prodotti tipici umbri. Titolare molto cordiale e in gamba. Vale la pena andare.

19/07/2025: We (9 people, including 5 kids) had a wonderful lunch here! There was something for everyone, the food was well-prepared, and the portions were generous! A special, very positive mention for our waiter!! He was the epitome of cheerfulness and very child-friendly! The frito misto and the sea bass "bacio style" are definitely worth a mention!! I highly recommend them. The only downside (but this applies to almost every Italian restaurant) is that you have to pay separately for vegetables and fries, which makes dining out a bit more expensive!

11/07/2025: Wij zijn enorme viseters dus waren blij een lekker visrestaurant in de buurt te vinden! De bediening was supervriendelijk en er was een uitgebreide menukaart, met zowel vis- en vleesgerechten. De pasta met zeevruchten was heerlijk, net als de visplank en octopus. De carbonara was aan de zoute kant. Na het afrekenen kregen we nog een kannetje lekkere limoncello gratis aangeboden! Een aanrader!
