We loved the Shrimp Kataifi, saffron risotto, spaghetti with chili, and the slow-cooked rib of beef — tender and full of flavor. A unique dining experience and a must-visit in Riva del Garda.

07/10/2025: A unique dinning experience in a building with a restaurant within the rock. The Berlera has an interesting history that dates back to the bronze ages! Chic restaurant offering indoor and outdoor seating overlooking beautiful trees and vineyards. Food is excellent and a lovely fusion of the local produces. Friendly service .

10/10/2025: We ate here three times and were extremely satisfied each time. The service is simply incredible; the entire team is super friendly and attentive. I highly recommend it.

27/10/2025: Yesterday, we stopped by Gutshof Lana directly after a hike and were dressed appropriately casually—in jeans and a sporty sweater—but were still greeted warmly. We ordered pizza. When the pizza arrived, the waitress apologized for the unattractive shape of my boyfriend's pizza. But that wasn't the problem for us. It wasn't the shape that bothered us; the pizza was unfortunately a bit charred and at least a quarter smaller than my pizza. You can't serve that kind of pizza in a restaurant. We pointed this out, and the pizza was taken back. After 15 minutes, my boyfriend received a new pizza. At good restaurants, we're used to at least a free drink as an apology or a dessert afterward. This wasn't the case at our table. When the waitress asked if everything was delicious, we confirmed it, but pointed out that it was a shame we couldn't eat together. She then replied, "Yes, that's always a shame!" We wonder if this happens often in this restaurant? The pizza tasted decent, but not exceptional. At the parallel table, almost at the same time, a completely different approach was taken. Here, the waiter took more time from the beginning, and the incorrect pizza was brought back from the kitchen "as a gift." The person who had to wait longer for their pizza also received a small gift upfront so they could eat with their friends. We wonder why there was apparently a double standard here. Was it because our attire was inappropriate for the restaurant? The head waiter, who acted so friendly at the neighboring table, also served us and noticed the faux pas. Why didn't he intervene? Perhaps we should have pointed out to the waitress that the situation was handled more elegantly at the neighboring table. So, although we were full, we returned to our hotel somewhat disappointed as "second-class citizens." We hope that other guests will be spared such an experience in the future.

24/10/2025: Excellent service, very friendly and accommodating! The ambiance is stylish and cozy, and the location is top-notch. We had pizzas, both of which were really delicious. Especially recommended if you still have room in your stomach: the lemon sorbet and the chocolate mousse. First-class and, for us, a perfect end to dinner.

05/10/2025: This is our fifth visit to this wonderful restaurant. The food is phenomenal. Great flavor combinations, yet not too complex, allowing you to recognize the ingredients and let each one unfold its full potential. The service is fantastic, very friendly, attentive, and everything runs at a pleasantly relaxed pace. Added to that is the exceptional wine, which is served to match the dishes. With a wealth of in-depth knowledge and great passion for each wine and its history! And to top it all off, the daughter made some addictive chocolates! Thank you Sonja, Jörg, and your children for the wonderful evening! ... and thank you for the shuttle service to the bus! We're already looking forward to our next visit 🤩

17/09/2025: Excellent food. Great lunch menu. Changes daily. Everything was perfect. Selected wines and the food was lovingly prepared and delicious. The chocolates are highly recommended. All handmade.

22/11/2025: We arrived at the last minute on a Saturday evening, and they treated us as if we'd booked. Kindness and courtesy from the start. The food was excellent and well-portioned, and the table service was impeccable. Well done, a truly wonderful discovery.

26/10/2025: The Hoamat is a beautiful inn in a fantastic location, and on a previous visit, I gave it a 5-star rating. However, the day before yesterday, we had the "Knödelroas with Beer Tasting" event, and if, like most of our group of six, you were there for the first time, that's not advertising and gives no reason to come back. Firstly, we had reserved a table for six and ended up sitting very, very close together with six other guests. When we complained, the waitress told us it was always like that, but then said she would try to find a solution. The manager replied, "Then we wouldn't be allowed to come to an event like that." Secondly, you had to wait in line for at least 15 minutes for the dumpling buffet. This could certainly be solved better by setting up two buffet rows. We had the impression that they were cramming as many people as possible into the restaurant to maximize profit. Whether this is a long-term benefit is another question.

24/10/2025: We were at the Bier&Knödl-Roas (Beer & Dumpling Roas) in the Hoamat, and the young waiter (Benjamin) was world-class. Very friendly, quick, and full of energy. A great guy.

02/12/2025: We booked here for my son's graduation. Elegant location and quality food with generous portions. Relaxing atmosphere and very friendly staff.

17/11/2025: The food wasn't excellent. We ordered cod with a lot of bones, flavorless, and very flaky. The Storo polenta was excellent. It lacked a bit of salt. Let's skip the potatoes. The wine wasn't up to par, the desserts were passable but not excellent, and the coffee was poor. The staff was helpful and committed.

03/10/2025: I got a high rating from the restaurant, but it was very crowded. Unfortunately, I didn't try the restaurant because of the long line. You'd have to wait half an hour to an hour to get a table. Another excellent restaurant was also chosen. Without downplaying the restaurant, if it weren't so excellent, it wouldn't be so crowded. Riva Dal Carda has an elegant center and excellent restaurants.
