We had a great time at this place. The staff was incredibly courteous and professional, and very attentive to customer service. The food was excellent, with some unusual and very well-chosen flavor combinations.

In the end, having wandered around before choosing where to stop turned out to be a wise decision... I will definitely be happy to return when I have the opportunity to be in that area: food, service, and atmosphere, all "five stars".

A must visit place for not only amazing food but wonderful service. The team are clearly highly knowledgeable about the produce and extremely motivated to give the customer the best experience from start to finish. The restaurant itself is dripping in history and culture and the owner, Valentin dispenses this with great charm. I can not recommend this restaurant highly enough

This place was great. I had the slow cooked pork with potatoes and my had the penne with salsicca and mushrooms. I’m pretty fussy and was very hesitant trying to stay away from a tourist trap and this place satisfied me. They were also super helpful with my allergies

Amazing place! The food, people and location all just perfect. Had the best pasta, great wine selection, bottle opened at the table. Very good with allergies too.

Ristorante Osteria Il Gallo

10/08/2026: It’s been a while since our visit to Riva del Garda, but I recently came across these photos and had to share because we had such a great meal at Osteria Il Gallo. We tried quite a few dishes, which gave us a chance to sample different parts of the menu. The pasta dishes were delicious, including a wonderfully creamy carbonara and fresh tagliatelle with truffle. We also had the grilled fish, which was beautifully prepared and served simply with lemon, as well as the crispy breaded chicken with fries and salad. Everything felt fresh, generous and satisfying, with simple Italian flavors done really well. The cold beer and wine alongside the meal made it even better. A really enjoyable, relaxed meal in Riva del Garda, with plenty of options for different tastes. Looking back at the photos definitely made me want to go back! 🇮🇹🍝
09/08/2026: It was very relaxing sitting at this Osteria, on a charming square. We ordered the sea bass and tagilato di manzo. Both were delicious and of good quality. Our daughter also ate everything down to the last bite.
