24/08/2024: Trattoria in Montalcino with a correct quality/cost ratio. We ate typical Tuscan dishes cooked appropriately. The only dish that did not satisfy us was the tagliatelle with white Chianina ragù because it was overcooked. The ragù was good though. It can happen that you get a dish wrong and despite this I recommend the place.

11/08/2024: The food was absolutely delicious, fresh and traditional. We had the wild boar stew, the pici and the veal and we enjoyed our meal thoroughly. The service was great and our waiters was extremely proactive, helpful and friendly. Thanks for an amazing meal!!

29/06/2024: Pranzo perfetto. La proprietaria molto gentile. Ci siamo accomodati nella veranda con il nostro cane. Antipasto ottimo e pici con ragù bianco di chianina e pici al cinghiale spettacolari. Pasta e ragù fatti in casa. Ambiente semplice e informale. Anche la colazione è buona con prodotti freschi della zona. Assolutamente consigliato!

16/06/2024: Location perfetta . Camera spaziosa e letto grande e comodissimo Una settimana di relax e cucina strepitosa con piatti tipici del posto . La signora Enza e il signor Giovanni si sono sempre resi disponibili per ogni richiesta . Ottimi i vini consigliati locali .

25/07/2024: Wie schön wäre es, wenn wir in Berlin ein solches Restaurant hätten! Ein rundum schöner Ort, nette Bedienung und wunderbares Essen! Italienische Küche wird um asiatische, marokkanische, südamerikanische Einflüsse erweitert, man merkt, dass hier jemand mit viel Freude am Herd steht.

09/07/2024: We have been going back to the Ristorante Enoteca Villa di Sotto for 3 years in a row now. It has been a highlight every time to dine at this special place. I always start my reviews with mentioning the staff and the hospitality of a place. The family, who owns this restaurant as well as the staff has a special understanding of what hospitality means. They are warm, tending, welcoming people with so much to offer to the guests. They take very special care of getting your orders and wishes right and make sure you understand what exactly is that you are ordering. They entertain the guests with stories of the restaurant, the venue, how the dishes were created and of course their old dog, who is just the sweetest thing ever… (They also know, when to give you privacy) The restaurant and the menu is created in the way that gluten and lactose intolerant people can enjoy it as much as someone without any dietary restrictions. If they know in advance they even prepare for the person. Both nights we were there I had an amazing bruschetta selection as a starter and first I’ve tried the mixed beef ragu and the next day the wild bore ragu with gluten free rigatoni. It was heavenly. They have mandarin and lemon sorbet as well, therefore you have the option to get a dessert even-if you cannot or would not like to eat dairy. We ended up going back two times in a row. (Again.) I thank you for the amazing Tuscan experience!! We will be back for more! ❤️

30/06/2024: Llegamos sin reserva y gracias a Carla, camarera super profesional, conseguimos mesa. Todo lo que puedo contar a partir de aquí, todo impresionante, las vistas, los compañeros de Carla, las recomendaciones, en particular la tempura, aunque la pasta no se queda atrás, en definitiva un lugar maravilloso que no debes perderte.

02/01/2024: It's not yet chill Ca' luce...my husband is Neapolitan and therefore I use this apophthegm. If you read the menu carefully, it seems that in Maremma the food is free! But how much do you want a crepe with a drawstring to cost (in Chiusdino??? come on, we're not joking) what do you need a magnifying glass to be able to slice it? two (2) mini tortelli stained with ragù with a sprinkling of curry and mace (in Maremma? ?) And desserts packaged in huge plates edged with icing sugar and mysterious powders? Super shocking bill in a tavern lost in the countryside!!! to turn your head to the left while driving by on the road towards Massa M.ma.

31/08/2024: Really wish we had a better review to write for this place, while the view is incredible it is really not worth the service received... I booked this restaurant for my 30th birthday two months before our visit to Italy and made a point to contact the restaurant via social media to request a table with the view. Unfortunately, when we arrived we were sat in the back corner of the restaurant and were told a table with the view was not possible. It was extremely disappointing as we made a point in our booking to request this and made the reservation TWO months in advance. The team did try to fit an extra chair onto the table in the front however they told us it would obstruct the diners next to us and frankly made us feel like a burden for asking. Having worked in the service industry myself for 5 years, it really didn't appear to be an issue but we did not want to argue about it. We then asked to be moved to a side table towards the back to have some view which they did kindly do for us and gifted us some bubbles as an apology which was appreciated. However, after we sat the service was really slow and we felt like a burden. The irony was that the table in the front that was being held, ended up being for a group who arrived after sunset and after we were nearly finished eating... The food was okay, certainly nothing to shout about. The staff was also unable to provide toilet paper in the bathroom as we left - we waited 10 minutes following our meal to use the restroom then just left. The best part of our evening was the kind caring hostess who had only been working there for 2 weeks. Would suggest you skip it!

29/08/2024: The pizzas were excellent, but the service was atrocious. We ordered three pizzas and one pasta. Each pizza arrived about five minutes apart, and the pasta arrived 30 minutes later. It then took 15 minutes to get the bill.

10/08/2024: Na zes jaar geleden hier voor het laatst te hebben gegeten, zijn we weer in Sarteano. Als 1e zijn we hier gaan eten. Het blijft goed. Eten is altijd van goede kwaliteit. Je zit heerlijk op een groot terras

30/07/2024: Very nice little hotel located 10 minutes from the center of Montalcino. Small haven of peace, pretty swimming pool, room with a very nice little terrace. Varied and excellent breakfast. Attentive service. We will definitely come back, it was perfect👍🏻

25/06/2024: The hotel is simple and with good service, but what made me give it 3 stars is that on the day of check in the reception had a very strong sewage smell, very strong indeed. The room was big and so was the bathroom. The breakfast was very simple, there were no eggs, for example. A positive point is that the hotel has parking, which makes it easier for those with a car. Easy and quick access to the center of Montalcino as well.

24/08/2024: Quando siamo entrati avevamo già il sapore dello spruzzino per pulire IN BOCCA, anche il cane stava starnutendo (e non sto scherzando). A parte questo, mangiare la pasta alle vongole era come mangiare l’ostia, e la pasta all’aglione sapeva di pesce. (Intanto stavano ancora disinfettando i tavoli perciò tutto quello che mangiavamo sapeva anche un po’ di spruzzino) Non torneremo :D (Però ci siamo divertiti)

07/08/2024: Cibo di ottima qualità, terrazza che affaccia sul mare di Ponza, personale gentilissimo e qualificato, soprattutto la proprietaria Anna, simpaticissima e ospitale. Abbiamo passato una bellissima serata. Super consigliato il cannolo stracciatella, gambero e lime.

26/05/2024: Just beautiful food and wonderful hospitality. Family recipes cooked with love, care and skill. I’ve been a chef all my life and this is the reason we come to Italy and we will be coming back to l’osteria . Mauro is a legend.

16/04/2024: Il borgo e’ notevole, anche il locale e’ carino e il servizio e’ rapido, attento e premuroso. Col cibo purtroppo non ci siamo. I salumi erano anonimi, peraltro proposti come “tagliere” ma sistemati su un piattino. Pecorino alla piastra anche discreto, ma in versione assaggio. Quattro polpette al limone, senza infamia ne’ lode. Dolce da dimenticare, ma fortunatamente era pochissimo. Due calici di vino, il tutto per ottanta euro. Per un locale che, a giudicare del menu, forse non ha neanche una vera cucina. Non ne e’ valsa la pena, e me ne dispiaccio perche pensavo molto meglio.

28/04/2024: In una serata dove abbiamo trovato almeno 10 ristoranti pieni, una voce gentile ci ha detto "c'è posto". Abbiamo trovato cibo genuino, buono e buone le porzioni, i prezzi di come eravamo abituati fino a qualche anno fa. Abbiamo notato tanti avventori che conoscevano già il posto e ci tornavano. Ed infatti ci torneremmo anche noi, magari quando è più caldo il tempo ed è possibile usare la loro bella terrazza. Anche il percorso per arrivare è bello, nel bosco, ma prenotate. Dopo due minuti dalla nostra telefonata anche loro erano pieni.

03/04/2024: Buon ristorante con porzioni molto abbondanti. Fuori dagli schemi turistici buona cucina casalinga. Menu vario di carne e pesce. Personale molto gentile.

29/07/2024: Terrible service and overpriced food. The food is not worthy of the price. I wouldn’t mind paying for quality service and food/drinks however at this place you’re merely paying for sitting next to the piazza.
