16/05/2026: Everything was excellent! Appetizer, first course, dessert, coffee, and water, but for the same price (€90) I could have stayed at a hotel.

14/05/2026: Just a few tables, just like at home, and amazing food at a moderately low price (appetizer, first course, and second course for half, plus a selection of desserts, €40). Highly recommended (call to reserve at least a week in advance).

04/05/2026: A wonderful bar in Florence. Everything was perfect. Friendly waiter (special mention to the one with the Viking-style haircut). Delicious cocktails for the price. Sunny terrace. We came three days in a row.

03/05/2026: I came here for the first time and ordered the truffle macaroni. I was blown away. The pasta sauce was creamy and tasted amazing with a sprinkle of Parmesan. The service was great and the waiters were super nice. I would definitely come back again and order the same thing.

12/08/2026: If I could give the service here 100 stars, I would. Everyone was friendly, attentive, witty, happy to be there! Big thanks to the whole team. We felt so very welcomed there. And the food! The view!! What a memorable evening. Get anything with truffles and don't skip the dessert. The drive up the hills is more than worth it. Top top top restaurant!!!

Katia was very nice and very funny. the food is incredible, like eating at an Italian's home. we recommend it and it's definitely one of the reasons why we want to go back to Tavarnelle. what we can recommend is veal with mushrooms and truffles, carbonara, bisteka Fiorentina, tortellini, everythink. 14/08/2026: Probably one of the best restaurants I've had the chance to try recently. A pleasant discovery. The menu and dishes are carefully chosen, respecting the ingredients and the producers. Everything is delicious. The place and the owner himself are worth discovering, the latter for his lively personality that stays with you throughout the dinner. The only small (but major) flaw: the bathroom - I would recommend greater attention to cleanliness. Highly recommended.

25/07/2026: We had an incredible dinner at Il Barretto’s tonight!!! From the moment we walked in, the hospitality of a family owned restaurant with hands-on owners struck the first impression. The food was out of this world. Fresh ingredients in the appetizer course, built high expectations for our risotto and pasta order. And those expectations were far exceeded with the actual taste and presentation of those dishes. On to the steak and the side dishes… the temperature, taste, and texture were all off the charts impressive. We have known that ingredients and tradition made Florentine and Tuscan cuisine, but this restaurant executed the dishes in a spectacular way. The husband and wife owners could not have been more friendly and accommodating!! We leave this experience not only as customers, but lifelong fans of the restaurant and the owners.

08/08/2026: Cannot fault this place. Fitted us in later on a busy night and the food was amazing. I had truffle steak, genuinely, the most delicious, tender steak I've ever tasted. The freshly made pasta, also stunning. Be sure to book a table in advance as it is often full.

05/08/2026: We ended up at this restaurant after reading positive reviews and hearing good things. Let me start by saying the food was good. The service, however, was lacking. There was no personal touch; they seemed to prioritize turning the table over quickly. There was only a five-minute gap between the starter and the main course. We ended up spending less than an hour there, whereas we had expected an evening-long dining experience. Unfortunately, they fell short of the high expectations.

The menu is practically perfect for my tastes, accompanied by a truly excellent wine selection. The service was impeccable, second to none: attentive, professional, and yet friendly, making us feel at ease throughout the evening. A special thank you to Chef Giacomo and the entire team for their hospitality, their passion, and for making us enjoy a truly fantastic evening. 04/08/2026: I think you should definitely go here. After enjoying the beauty at the Uffizi Gallery and exiting, it's located to your right. You can enjoy delicious food in a relaxed, homey atmosphere.

19/05/2026: I just had dinner here! We had delicious soup of the day, Sienese ravioli with cod and octopus. Everything was excellent. The staff were friendly and courteous, highly recommended.
