16/03/2026: We went to dinner here because it was recommended by other friends, and it did not disappoint. The setting is small and simple, but the food and service are excellent. Typical Tuscan food, local wine, and a very friendly waiter.

12/04/2026: A perfect dining experience. Lucky enough to be seated at the window next to the river, and enjoyed a bruschette, lasagna ragu, and a tiramisu.
The food was incredible, the best lasagna I have ever tried in my life. The tiramisu was wonderful to cap it off as well.
Service was also top notch from wine recommendations to making sure we got our food when we wanted and let us enjoy our meal.
Absolute 10/10 spot, would go back tomorrow and recommend you do the same! (But leave the window for me 🙂)
11/04/2026: Adriano is helpful and friendly. Delicious, homemade food, typical Tuscan. Balcony tables overlooking the Arno River, beautiful view, covered, delicious food. Recommended for tourists and locals alike. Excellent.

06/04/2026: Simply excellent lunch. Strong flavors and truly delicious dishes. The selection of breads and pastries, served hot and homemade, is truly exquisite. We tried the onion and cream puffs, pici cacio e pepe, and tagliata al chianti: everything was perfect.

18/03/2026: The place is beautiful, the music, the ambiance, the location... everything was perfect! The "all-inclusive" menu was very good, very complete, and all the food was very carefully prepared and fresh.

The wine list is a highlight: extensive and carefully curated, it caters to all tastes and budgets.

06/04/2026: Craving lunch out of town...so I started looking for a nice little restaurant in Chianti. I found this place, which I have to say satisfied me in every way: super kind, attentive, and knowledgeable staff! Especially when it came to helping me choose the wine (they have over 300 labels available). The food was pretty easy, as we already had a clear idea 🥩. The price was in line with what we ate and drank, no complaints. Recommended, and when we're in the area again, we'll definitely be back!
06/04/2026: We had lunch at the Lamole restaurant for a birthday. We arrived late, with 9 slightly nervous and hungry children 😅, yet we were greeted with the utmost kindness! The staff was incredibly helpful and kind, from the first to the last!
We were able to accommodate all our requests, even the most unusual ones, with courtesy and friendliness!
Because there were so many of us, we tried so many different dishes, and everyone was satisfied! Everything was delicious, high-quality, and served on time, which is not a given!
5 full stars for everything!
A BEAUTIFUL, WELCOMING place with great food, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

01/04/2026: On our way back to Florence from San Gimignano, we stopped by this wonderful restaurant in a quiet beautiful town. It was Sunday and they were busy but accommodated me and my family graciously. The food was delicious and after so much of the same food in the touristic areas, this was a nice change. We tried different dishes but the rabbit was the star.

15/04/2026: Hands down, the best meal on our trip. The Florentine steak was phenomenal. The potatoes that came with it were amazing. The staff was friendly and helpful. We sat outside in the wonderful atmosphere of Piazza Signoria. It could not have been better! I highly recommend this restaurant.

29/12/2025: Very friendly and kind staff, very good food and a quiet atmosphere where you can chat with people at the table without having to raise your voice, I recommend it to anyone passing through Florence or are in the area.
26/12/2025: Had Diavola, it was slightly bigger than most other places.
The quality of dough was superb. Restaurant was busy as eh but it came troppo veloche ie fast within quicker the one might think.
Cherry on top was mascarpone Pandoro special cake made at Xmas by mumma . It was best restaurant desert I've tried since 2 months in 4 cities .
Props to family run and operated venues. This place is a Neighborgood gem . Fair prices too. A lot of flair.

28/02/2026: A fabulous experience worth repeating.
We happened upon it by chance. We were welcomed with affection and extreme kindness by three ladies (one was the cook, Mary). We ordered 1 penne alla boscaiola, 1 tortello alla Mary, and 2 pork loins (soft as butter) accompanied by roast potatoes and beans all'uccelletto. To finish, a sampling of homemade cakes (chestnut and rum, pear, cinnamon and clove, orange, carrot). A half-liter bottle of house wine. LARGE PORTIONS. EVERYTHING FABULOUS. THE TOTAL COST WAS 77 euros. We will definitely be back.
PS: The three ladies also run an adjoining B&B, Borgo Antica Pieve.

16/01/2026: How can any restaurant stand out in the wealth of wonderful dining venues in Florence? Well, Il Barretto can. The restaurant is charming, and the host and staff are wonderful, but then you are served such absolutely delicious food, and you say, "I think that we made a good choice here." It is as though every meal is prepared by someone's mother. Just stunning. Also, the wine paired so well. I cannot speak highly enough of the atmosphere, the service, and the exceptional food. The location of the restaurant is perfect for a pre-cocktail at Uggi or other venues. If I were you, I would go out of my way to dine at Il Barretto.
16/01/2026: Great dining experience across the board! The atmosphere is remarkable -- elegant but effortlessly comfortable. We split a Burrata as a starter, and it was deeply flavorful. For mains we had a Black Truffle Taglitelli and Ossobucco with a side of their potatoes. Every bite was a treat. We enjoyed a really nice Tuscan blend red wine that the waiter recommended (wish we had noted the name), and it paired very well with both our mains. We were far too full to order a dessert, but it was tempting. We had some terrific dining experiences in Firenza, and this is at the top of our list. Ben fatto!!
