16/03/2026: We went to dinner here because it was recommended by other friends, and it did not disappoint. The setting is small and simple, but the food and service are excellent. Typical Tuscan food, local wine, and a very friendly waiter.

14/02/2026: When we went to the place where we were told to sit, we were seated in the far corner of the restaurant next to another Asian person. And there were 3 of us, but they told us to sit at a table for 2 with chairs pushed together. The food portions were generous and they took our orders fairly quickly.

30/10/2025: Delicious food, I personally really recommend tagliatelle and risottos with sea food. Theirs desserts are also very tasty. Really kind stuff, nice environment.

It felt like we were eating at someone's home – warm, authentic, and simply comfortable. A place we'd happily recommend and certainly won't be the last time we visit!

01/03/2026: Very few times have I been welcomed into a restaurant with such a warm and friendly atmosphere. My compliments go to the entire staff, who made us feel completely at ease during a wonderful lunch. As for the cuisine, there's no need for words...top-quality ingredients and expertly prepared dishes. Completing the experience is an extensive wine list and a typically Tuscan location with a picture-perfect view. Think that's too glowing a review? Try it and believe it!

28/02/2026: A beautiful family owned restaurant nestled in the charming village. We had the house red (fantasticc!) and pasta. Pici with tomato sauce, tagliatelle with Tuscan ragu and the pasta with the duck sauce were all incredible. We’ll be coming back again for another meal hopefully many more

07/01/2026: A gem in the historic center of town. When you enter, you feel right at home. The decor perfectly matches the local style. The atmosphere is warm and the staff are extremely friendly. There were four of us for lunch. We shared two Tuscan appetizers, and then each had a main course with a side dish. Everything was simple and delicious. For my main course, I opted for the wild boar stew, which was truly exquisite and, above all, incredibly tender. For wine, I chose a local Chianti Classico. You have to be careful with the wine list, as not all the wines on the list were actually available, and some of those were from different vintages than those listed. However, I still give the service 5 stars because the waiter handled the situation admirably. Excellent value for money. I recommend it and hope to return soon.

15/03/2026: Incredible restaurant, staff were extremely generous and accommodating and gave us an experience well above and beyond what was expected — a standard 3 courses ended up being more like 8 with celebratory desserts prepared for both occasions we were celebrating. Allow 3 hours+ (even for a simple a la carte) so as not to rush.

15/01/2026: We had an absolutely outstanding dinner at Borgo San Jacopo for my husband’s birthday back in October. The restaurant itself is both cozy and beautiful and the service was attentive without feeling like someone was hovering over you all evening. We were given the option of ordering a la carte or a choice of 3 tasting menus with the caveat that if you choose a tasting menu the whole table must choose the same one. We went with a tasting menu and really loved the number of courses that it allowed us to sample. Favorite dishes were the ricotta snack, risotto with meatballs, the lamb loin and the salted caramel peanut bonbon at the end. The mushroom ice cream that was served with the crudités was very interesting and we also loved the house made olive oil. They really made my husband’s birthday feel special and it was one of our best meals in Italy.

29/12/2025: Very friendly and kind staff, very good food and a quiet atmosphere where you can chat with people at the table without having to raise your voice, I recommend it to anyone passing through Florence or are in the area.

26/12/2025: Had Diavola, it was slightly bigger than most other places. The quality of dough was superb. Restaurant was busy as eh but it came troppo veloche ie fast within quicker the one might think. Cherry on top was mascarpone Pandoro special cake made at Xmas by mumma . It was best restaurant desert I've tried since 2 months in 4 cities . Props to family run and operated venues. This place is a Neighborgood gem . Fair prices too. A lot of flair.

28/02/2026: A fabulous experience worth repeating. We happened upon it by chance. We were welcomed with affection and extreme kindness by three ladies (one was the cook, Mary). We ordered 1 penne alla boscaiola, 1 tortello alla Mary, and 2 pork loins (soft as butter) accompanied by roast potatoes and beans all'uccelletto. To finish, a sampling of homemade cakes (chestnut and rum, pear, cinnamon and clove, orange, carrot). A half-liter bottle of house wine. LARGE PORTIONS. EVERYTHING FABULOUS. THE TOTAL COST WAS 77 euros. We will definitely be back. PS: The three ladies also run an adjoining B&B, Borgo Antica Pieve.

01/03/2026: The dining room—and what can I say? I discovered it a few years ago and fell in love with it. Special Tuscan dishes and refined cuisine, perfectly executed down to the last detail, and the waiter's explanation of the ingredients' provenance was delightful. In my opinion, their signature dish is the fillet steak with Brunello di Montalcino, simply delicious. The only downside is the cleanliness; there's dust on the shelves that triggered allergic rhinitis. I highly recommend paying more attention to cleanliness to truly enjoy the best.

12/02/2026: A very quaint, traditional Tuscan restaurant with delicious dishes. The gnudi are simply delicious, with fresh spinach and a fabulous sauce. We'll definitely be back to try other delicacies.

01/02/2026: I recommend trying the pici all'aglione. I asked for them without the pecorino cheese and I loved them! Both the pasta and the sauce were delicious.

01/02/2026: Best lasagna I’ve ever eaten!!! Delicious pasta, wonderful service, Italian waiters were so helpful, cozy atmosphere. We ate here twice because it was so good!

07/03/2026: A new waitress was working and it showed. Despite telling her what I wanted and pointing to it on the menu, something completely different came out. Also, every other table received bread, but we did not get bread. We had to ask for it. Finally, we had to ask twice for the check. After the second time, the waitress said it will be a few minutes. Then, after a few minutes, she told us to go to another waitress near the exit to pay. It was an unusual experience to say the least. However, on the bright side, the food was very tasty and the prices were at the very least fair.
