08/05/2026: We just returned from a 3 week honeymoon in Italy which required a LOT of planning. I normally am not one to leave a review, but we relied so heavily on them to plan our trip so I wanted to share my experience to hopefully help someone else out. :) This was the third stop of our trip. And if I had to describe this hotel, I'd say it's like a luxury bed and breakfast in the rolling hills of Tuscany. The property is gorgeous and the staff was very accommodating. However, be aware, this hotel is not walking distance to really anything so you will either need a car or will need to hire a taxi or a driver to get anywhere. We ended up paying over $75 in 1 day just to get to and from the town of Cortona which is about a 10 min car ride away. Also, when we were there in April, I think we were 2 of maybe 6 guests on property. It felt almost eerily quiet. This is definitely not a hotel that you would come to for the fun atmosphere. Its more of a relaxing, luxury, and romantic get away. The staff does a nice job to help coordinate any plans / logistics that are needed. And I would highly recommend making plans for each day that you are there. We really enjoyed the wine tour that they coordinated for us. I do want to give a special shoutout to the food because the breakfast and dinner that we had were always fantastic! However, be mindful that that their kitchen is closed on Monday nights and so are many of the local restaurants. We found ourselves in a bit of a predicament after our wine tour, so we had to have our driver bring us to a grocery store to get some food. Overall, I would recommend this hotel. Just do your homework before hand so that your stay can be as enjoyable as possible!

13/01/2026: This place was so serene and quiet this time of year (late December). The staff was attentive and accommodating and the food... so good! Worth staying here for couples. I would say it's romantic. But, we also saw a couple of young families. You will be spoiled if you stay here. We will never get a better breakfast spread anywhere. They set the bar high!

06/07/2026: We found this restaurant recommended in several culinary guides and knew it would be a refined dining experience, but we were absolutely blown away by how beautiful it is on the inside! The interior design is gorgeous and creates a wonderful, upscale atmosphere. We ordered two different pasta dishes, and both were outstanding, cooked to perfection and full of flavor. To top it off, they have a wonderful wine selection that complemented our meal beautifully. While we found it to be a bit on the pricier side, the experience was truly memorable. Chiavi d’Oro is definitely worth visiting, not just for the fantastic food and marvelous wine, but also to enjoy its superb, elegant setting.

31/05/2026: Nothing to say. The food is top-notch; we ate so well that we felt compelled to compliment the chef. The staff was impeccable; we had a small hiccup at the register, but they immediately worked to resolve it. If we ever pass through this area again, we'll definitely have another opportunity to eat at this beautiful restaurant. Congratulations again to all the staff.

30/06/2026: I booked a dinner for two on the hottest evening of the year, drawn by photos of a restaurant with barrel vaults, cool due to its cellar-like feel. When we arrived, although the interior, which was indeed very cool, was empty, they directed us to an outdoor area located on another street—another breeze, according to the owner—that was equally cool. It was muggy, with mosquitoes, and the dishes were moved from one street to another, meaning that what was supposed to be cold arrived hot and vice versa. Awful value for money.

20/07/2026: A phenomenal place. It's not AIC certified, yet they guarantee the absence of contamination in the sliced ​​​​potatoes. I confirm. Furthermore, the sliced ​​​​potato is truly special, and I don't think I've ever eaten such good baked potatoes. The gentleman who welcomed and served us was extremely kind and helpful. For dessert, my husband ordered the crème brulee, which is completely different from what you normally find; they make it fresh. Due to a new bottle, the chef had some issues, causing the crème brulee to be a bit runny; he even offered to bring him another dessert, but that idea was rejected since the dessert was equally excellent. The wait times were very short and the prices were average, although given the quality, you're more than happy to spend. To conclude, the atmosphere was extremely charming and well-kept. I highly recommend it, both for celiacs (limited to the sliced ​​​​potatoes) and for everyone else.

14/07/2026: A quick stop on the road from Rome to Ferrara. A charming place, very friendly and attentive to service and quality! A delicious, healthy menu, cooked fresh and with love. Even for happy hour or evenings, it promises original and enjoyable entertainment...now I have to get back on the road...see you next time 😉

23/06/2026: Very average food: appetizer was served with unimpressive dry bread, a few patties and warm chese, wine was served too warm. Main dish: ragout de bolognese pasta was also non-rememberable.

07/06/2026: The restaurant was a direct recommendation from our holiday apartment, and we were very impressed. We booked online and received a 20% discount on the cover charge and the meal. Even without this discount, I would recommend the restaurant, as the food was excellent and the place wasn't too crowded. Here you can experience authentic Tuscan cuisine for a fair price, and the hosts were very friendly and patient with us. We give it 5/5 stars and highly recommend it.

04/05/2026: The rooms need updating, but they're VERY clean, so the three stars are only because they need renovations. However, for the price, you can't expect more. The restaurant is excellent.

11/06/2026: Since it's close to the town hall, I thought it was the perfect place to start our stay in this beautiful town. We had a wonderful time, and in fact, we're returning tomorrow morning for breakfast. The staff were excellent. A top-notch location.

02/05/2026: We walked in by chance, and from the first moment, I felt that wonderful sensation of being in the right place. The trio of tartares was truly the best I've ever tasted: fresh, carefully prepared, and made with true care. The place has an atmosphere that embraces you without making any noise, and the waiters were kind, attentive, and smiling. A simple but special evening, a surprise that left me grateful and eager to return.

23/04/2026: This place is amazing! I went here with a group of friends for a boiled meat-themed dinner and was impressed by the quality and service.

13/06/2026: Everything was amazing. From appetizers to dessert. The Chianti tuna was incredible. The lampredotto was delicate and the livers were well-balanced. The first courses were amazing. Tuscan cuisine at its best.
