02/06/2026: We're a big fan of Rome and came to this restaurant for lunch at the end of May, trusting previous reviews. The restaurant is located in a very small and beautiful village, surrounded by nature! There are also tables on an outdoor patio, and the interior is truly beautiful and meticulously maintained. The menu is limited but offers some very unique dishes. The food is excellent, with some typical Tuscan dishes. The wine list is extensive, including cask wine (very good...). The value for money is excellent, and the staff is friendly and helpful. If we're ever in the area again, we'll definitely be back to try your dishes. Congratulations! Andrea and Antonella

08/05/2026: We just returned from a 3 week honeymoon in Italy which required a LOT of planning. I normally am not one to leave a review, but we relied so heavily on them to plan our trip so I wanted to share my experience to hopefully help someone else out. :) This was the third stop of our trip. And if I had to describe this hotel, I'd say it's like a luxury bed and breakfast in the rolling hills of Tuscany. The property is gorgeous and the staff was very accommodating. However, be aware, this hotel is not walking distance to really anything so you will either need a car or will need to hire a taxi or a driver to get anywhere. We ended up paying over $75 in 1 day just to get to and from the town of Cortona which is about a 10 min car ride away. Also, when we were there in April, I think we were 2 of maybe 6 guests on property. It felt almost eerily quiet. This is definitely not a hotel that you would come to for the fun atmosphere. Its more of a relaxing, luxury, and romantic get away. The staff does a nice job to help coordinate any plans / logistics that are needed. And I would highly recommend making plans for each day that you are there. We really enjoyed the wine tour that they coordinated for us. I do want to give a special shoutout to the food because the breakfast and dinner that we had were always fantastic! However, be mindful that that their kitchen is closed on Monday nights and so are many of the local restaurants. We found ourselves in a bit of a predicament after our wine tour, so we had to have our driver bring us to a grocery store to get some food. Overall, I would recommend this hotel. Just do your homework before hand so that your stay can be as enjoyable as possible!

13/01/2026: This place was so serene and quiet this time of year (late December). The staff was attentive and accommodating and the food... so good! Worth staying here for couples. I would say it's romantic. But, we also saw a couple of young families. You will be spoiled if you stay here. We will never get a better breakfast spread anywhere. They set the bar high!

05/04/2026: For lunch, I ordered a Florentine steak, which I personally found delicious! It literally melted in my mouth, and had a delicate flavor. It was more of an experience than a meal. The vegetables and cheeses as an appetizer were also very good and had refined flavors. I highly recommend it!

17/03/2026: Excellence in every detail. Domenico was simply incredible in the dining room, knowledgeable and very attentive. The chef is a guarantee. One of the best restaurants I've ever eaten at.

24/05/2026: We had lunch at "Il Preludio" and had a truly wonderful time: carefully prepared dishes, quality ingredients, and excellent flavors. The staff was kind, helpful, and attentive throughout the meal, making us feel welcomed right away. A special thanks also to the owner, who was so thoughtful about our one-year-old daughter, Vittoria, bringing her toys to keep her entertained and even disinfecting them before giving them to her. A simple gesture that demonstrates great care, sensitivity, and attention to families with small children. A very positive experience, we'll definitely be back!

For those who order the €15 tourist menu, be aware that water is included in half a liter per person. Although they only brought two 0.75-liter bottles for four of us.

10/11/2025: Last Sunday, I went to this restaurant in Aboca for lunch with my friends after a trek. A well-kept place, young staff, and a nice menu. Excellent service from two attractive young women. If I may offer a piece of advice, in such a large, rustic, and beautiful room, installing an electric heater is not only pointless, but also an eyesore—a real shame. You'd need to invest a bit of money into a nice wood-burning stove, perhaps a cast iron one with copper pipes. Besides making the room much more beautiful and welcoming, it would also heat the very cold environment for those sitting down to eat. That said, I'd recommend this place, but not in the winter.

The trio of tartares was truly the best I've ever tasted: fresh, carefully prepared, and made with true care. The place has an atmosphere that embraces you without making any noise, and the waiters were kind, attentive, and smiling. A simple but special evening, a surprise that left me grateful and eager to return.
