02/04/2026: My favorite place, for its simplicity, for who I am. The food, what can I say? Excellent home-style cooking, and the view, located in a beautiful valley. I love everything.

29/03/2026: We had a number of outstanding meals during our week in Cortona, and this restaurant experience stood out among them. Food was top notch (local classics well executed) and service was excellent throughout. Our visit was during the off season, so we did not need a reservation and sat in a room with a large party (and an even larger celebration was happening in an adjacent room--yet our small party enjoyed a quiet meal)...we went for dinner and it was dark, so we didn't get to enjoy the views but their location is perfect for taking in beautiful views of the valley below Cortona. Starting with the "mixed fried foods" (delightful mix of fried veggies, polenta, cheese) with prosecco, then pici with fumo sauce and secondi with chianina beef (tried both the filet with wine sauce and slices with truffle butter)--we had a wonderful meal. A nicely breaded chicken filet with fries was offered to our young son, who enjoyed his meal as well (children's menus are not typical in the region). Dessert (chocolate cake with mascarpone and berries, along with amaro and cappuccinos) and local wine (Cortona syrah) were perfect additions. We highly recommend Ristorante Tonino!

08/11/2025: ✍️ 🆕️ GOOD FOOD AND A BREATHTAKING VIEW ✅️💥 🍖🍝🥂For lunch, we chose this restaurant for its slightly secluded location compared to the others along the main street and for the option of eating outside on its terrace, accompanied by an exceptional view. The food particularly amazed us: from the lightness of the asparagus flan as an appetizer, to the delicacy of the risotto with zucchini flowers and pine nuts, to the bold flavor of the blueberry pappardelle with white Chianina ragù. 22/11/2025: After we booked, they sent us away saying they'd run out of pizza dough!!! We were speechless...

04/11/2025: Personally, we didn't enjoy it. We ordered a seafood risotto, which arrived completely overcooked and had a rather questionable flavor. A plate of pasta with an inedible sauce and pizzas that were barely adequate.

04/06/2026: Honestly, I've made better pizza at home with my Oonio than the one I had here with porcini mushrooms. The service was completely unmotivated, the cutlery arrived dirty, and we received an extra appetizer that we hadn't ordered. All in all, very disappointed; even the bruschetta wasn't particularly tasty. The only good thing about the restaurant is that there's a good ice cream parlor right next door.

11/05/2026: There were two of us. We didn't even get a chance to try the food before the rude waiter responded with a resounding "NO, WE'RE FULL!" Three American tourists came in right behind us and asked for exactly what we'd asked for, and he replied, "YES, CHOOSE THE TABLE YOU LIKE BEST!" Since you're in the business, I hope you only have American customers so we can leave those few euros as a tip, because if this is the way you present yourself, you're going to have to change your career!

10/05/2026: We tried to go to this restaurant twice and every time it was closed, the information here is not accurate and this is disappointing.

02/04/2026: A welcoming and beautifully decorated restaurant in the cellars of an ancient building. Outdoor seating is available for warmer weather. A cocktail bar is located at the entrance. The menu, surprisingly, is primarily seafood-based, despite being located in the hills between Chianti and Valdarno. The ingredients are extremely fresh and of excellent quality. Dishes are well prepared and presented. The service is very professional and courteous. The wine list is comprehensive and varied. Prices are moderately high.

18/10/2025: We're on vacation and chose this restaurant by chance. Fair prices, exceptional food, and a 100% Tuscan atmosphere. Andrea, the person who served us, was a cultured and friendly man.

12/04/2026: We had lunch, everything was excellent, the wine cellar was wonderful, and the wine selection was fantastic, recommended by one of the owners, who was very kind and a great wine expert... the dishes were fabulous and not banal... my compliments!...
