01/04/2025: Viaggio di ritorno verso Roma ed al "buio" ci fermiamo alla ricerca di un locale a San Sepolcro. Vicino Porta Fiorentina si trova questo locale di impronta storica, che offre piatti tradizionali con prodotti del luogo. Tutto molto buono sia a livello di primi sia di secondi, con discreta cantina anche se si stanno riorganizzando aggiornando al carta dei vini!

25/02/2025: The door was open, but the place was actually still closed. Fortunately, we were allowed inside and I ended up in an attractively decorated room with a huge selection of various beers. The lady helped us very well and we left with a good feeling with a well-filled bag of Italian beers. Nice place and I think you can also eat there. Unfortunately, there is no brewing at this location, but I have now tasted their house beer and am glad I brought an extra bottle! 😉🍻

22/11/2024: My husband and I stayed here for four nights during our honeymoon around Tuscany. This hotel is a very beautiful and special place. When we arrived in from one of our previously visited cities, it was a Monday afternoon and the hotel restaurant was not open that night. Zoe helped us to reserve a table at a delicious local restaurant that was a short taxi ride away. (Definitely rent a car if you can or you will have to pay a pretty penny for the local taxis.) David the owner came to our room when we arrived with an aperitivo of some of their prosecco. The hotel grounds are well kept and very nice for sitting and enjoying the serenity of the area. We booked a cooking class with the executive chef and we handmade amazing dishes and enjoyed them for lunch as a four course meal. Greta helped translate the chef’s words to us from Italian to English the entire class and it all went very smoothly. We ate dinner in the hotel restaurant two nights and the food was superb. I ordered the fusilloni pasta two nights in a row because it was that good. The service in the restaurant was exceptional and professional as well. The breakfast buffet was great with freshly baked goods and the fruits were fresh and ripe. The waiters were always by our side and ready to make any hot drinks or anything else hot from the kitchen. We did use the hotel’s laundry service and our clothing was clean and nicely ironed. The housekeeping team did an excellent job, always leaving our room super clean and looking untouched and closing the outside shutters at turndown. All of the staff were readily available to provide anything extra if we needed. David has done a phenomenal job in training his staff. I feel like I have more to say but this will do for now! We would love to return back one day with more friends and family to share Relais La Corte dei Papi with. Thank you all again!!

03/11/2024: Very expensive mirror for decoys Everything is nice as long as you are outside, a pleasant garden. The room, however, is all smoke and little fire, absolutely not in line with what a 5 star should be, there are no excuses. For a suite, the photos speak for themselves and there is really no need to say anything else. The phone doesn't have reception, the TV has 5 working channels, the hydromassage is not very clean and takes forever to heat up, not even 33cl of water offered... It's not the first time I've stayed as a couple in a hotel of this type and I can calmly say that in Tuscany you can find much better for the same price. If you have money to waste and want to be dazzled by the gold finishes, this is the place for you, but forget about cleanliness and those details that really make the experience worth the trip. Breakfast was nothing special, very little choice for savory foods and in general it was a hassle since nothing presented had labels describing what it was. Ditto for dinner where an appetizer is offered placed on the table without half a word of description. In general it can be said that the real sore point is represented not only by the price (absolutely disproportionate) but by the manipulative strategy that we have also had the opportunity to find in other reviews, so be careful because being clever is apparently a trend. The time of our arrival found the kitchen closed so we were offered a platter of cured meats (20 total slices) and cheeses (5 pieces) with a wine of their own production chosen by the maitre. No alternatives. No wine list. No price. Well, that lunch cost more than €100 and that's unacceptable. The maitre d' knew this when he proposed it to us, but we didn't. We felt really cheated, there is no justification, terrible attitude. If you think you're clever enough to fool the customers you manage to fool with two smiles, you deserve all the reviews that highlight how unfair not only the quality-price ratio is but also the lack of transparency of your offers. 07/01/2025: Location perfetta per trascorre qualche giorno in tranquillità. Trasmette il giusto calore per incantarti con la magia e l' atmosfera che il luogo dona. Spazi a dimensione d'uomo. La cucina è deliziosa, lo staff molto bravo ed attento nel consigliare i piatti tipici della cucina toscana. Servizio impeccabile e curato. Gustato appieno la cena.

Ottimo cibo e ampissima scelta dei vini, abbiamo scelto alla carta ma abbiamo notato un menu degustazione con e senza vino a prezzi molto competitivi per il servizio e la qualità del cibo offerto. Consigliatissimo a chi passa o soggiorna a Cortona!

16/02/2025: Siamo capitati a pranzo dal Preludio per caso, ed è stata una piacevole sorpresa. Ambiente ricercato. Piatti ottimi e ben presentati. Personale gentile e collaborativo. Abbiamo preso due polpo arrosto e un tortino entrambi ottimi. A seguire tagliatelle, agnolotti e filetto di chianina. Tutto perfetto. Per finire un dolce ben presentato … e ancora più buono. Insomma, niente da dire se non : bravi!

The service is excellent, Kristina in the dining room was kind and attentive, I am also gluten and lactose intolerant and they were able to offer me a lot of interesting options here. The fish is of excellent quality, the tuna and the mixed fried food are delicious. We will definitely be back

03/11/2024: Ottima colazione in giardino, in occasione di una visita a Anghiari. Locale molto curato e pulito, giardini splendidi e da cui si può godere di un bellissimo affaccio sulla Valtiberina.

05/01/2025: Siamo finiti al Birrificio Cortonese quasi per caso e ci siamo ritrovati a ritornarci anche la sera successiva. Massimo e Michela sono due osti fantastici, che ci hanno fatto sentire immediatamente a casa. Quando ci hanno fatto sapere che il giorno dopo Massimo avrebbe preparato il lampredotto e la trippa (con le sue ricette originali fiorentine) non abbiamo potuto fare a meno di tornare per assaggiare. Tutti i piatti che abbiamo provato erano davvero ottimi, accompagnati da birre artigianali davvero buone. Ci sono poche cose belle come andare a cena fuori e sentirsi coccolati, con persone che non servono solo i piatti, ma te li raccontano e ti fanno trasparire l'entusiasmo e la passione per il lavoro che fanno. Sembra quasi di andare a cena a casa di amici. Faremo in modo di ritornare!

04/01/2025: Il primo dell’anno abbiamo chiesto se c’era posto a tre ristoranti prima di entrare. Tutti ci hanno risposto in maniera quasi scocciata che era pieno. Qui ci hanno fatto aspettare 10 minuti poi ci hanno fatto sedere. La gentilezza di Massimo e dalla sua collaboratrice ci hanno colpito. Per fare il ristoratore la passione è fondamentale. Piatti tipici preparati con cura e spiegati con passione.
