09/05/2026: I don't think anyone checks the reviews for this kind of restaurant, but I wouldn't recommend this one. I'd walked away from the beach hoping to find a more authentic establishment and some good local seafood, but failed on both counts. It took a long time to cook a simple bowl of spaghetti in an almost-empty restaurant, and when it arrived, more that half the mussels were still closed so I didn't dare eat them. The service was rude-to- indifferent, which is not unusual for Italy ... or at least, it's not unusual for a woman eating alone in Italy ... And when the bill came, it was €6 more than the price on the menu, making it a pretty expensive rushed, unfriendly, half-eaten, quite bland bowl of spaghetti. 🤷‍♀️

09/05/2026: I too went because of watching Michael Portillo. Great seafood risotto, but too much rice. Sadly the QR code to get English menu was out of date and I couldn’t have the seafood ravioli I wanted. Shame building works and close proximity to the road and traffic reduced my stars. Also waiting staff not very good at understanding English, my problem as I don’t speak Italian. But we’ve come to expect to be understood! But overall great fresh seafood would recommend it. Lots of locals eating there always a good sign.

14/05/2026: A very nice pizzeria, friendly service, the owner in the kitchen speaks and loves French. The village is charming, just outside Cefalù (not too close, not too far). The pizzas are excellent and inexpensive. We had a lovely evening there. We were staying nearby at Le Due Sicile… A pleasant stroll after dinner.

23/05/2026: The hotel is about a 25-30-minute walk from the center of Cefalù. Both breakfast and dinner are a 5/10. The rooms are tiny, and you can hear everything from the hallway. The mattresses are springy and uncomfortable. The refrigerator doesn't cool, there's no drinking water in the room, and the bathroom needs a complete renovation. The shower cubicle is 60x60 cm, so bathing is quite a challenge. The shower water is uncontrollable, running hot and cold alternately. The biggest draw is the train tracks right outside the fence and the trains that run every hour or two, 24 hours a day. There are no hotel towels at the pool, so relaxing here is generally quite a challenge. On the plus side, there's a supermarket opposite the hotel.

23/05/2026: I was only there for lunch and the restaurant was perfectly fine. It's a bit far from town but has lovely views.

09/06/2026: What a great experience. The food was sooo sooo good. We had a whole grilled sebas, fettuccine with shrimp & pistachio, fried little fish, & grilled octopus. The service was so excellent,, thank you ( Santo)

04/06/2026: Initially skeptical, but then the food was brilliant. Typical Italian cuisine, but excellent seafood (orata) and very friendly service. Highly recommended!

07/05/2026: I ate at this restaurant in November 2025 with local friends. The owner recommended the "zoccola di Mare" to me. Exceptional. I recommend it to everyone. Once you've been to this restaurant, judge for yourself.

01/01/2026: Lunch, January 1, 2026 Godiva has an excellent reputation for its creative food and flavorful dishes. Compagnia della Vela with Catering, Godiva Restaurant, confirms the excellent lunch, expertly executed by the staff. The appetizers were excellent, with excellent presentation and flavor, and the arancina and mussels were sublime. First courses: Rice flan with a pea and shrimp sauce was excellent. Ravioli with swordfish roe and clams were excellent. Perfectly cooked. Despite the crowds. The main course was equally delicious. To end the lunch, an excellent cheesecake. Congratulations, until next time.

10/05/2026: Highly discouraged due to the complete lack of seriousness and professionalism. I booked a table for two through TheFork on April 30th for Saturday, May 9th at 8:30 PM, and received a proper confirmation. Despite the reservation having been made a full 10 days in advance, the restaurant dared to cancel it, just four hours before dinner, with a notification at 4:07 PM. The excuse? A "private event." Such an event should be planned in advance; it's not decided on a Saturday afternoon at the expense of guests who already have a confirmed reservation. I find it unacceptable and profoundly unfair to give such short notice on a Saturday evening, making it impossible to find a valid alternative. If you're looking for a reliable place that honors its commitments to its customers, look elsewhere. This restaurant treats reservations as mere suggestions, to be cancelled at will.

03/05/2026: It doesn't look like much from the outside, but once inside, you'll have a great experience: good pizza, a beautiful place. The outside is also beautiful, with a well-kept garden perfect for spending a cool evening with friends or even family. The staff is attentive and friendly.
