The rooms are very clean and stylishly furnished. The hotel as a whole is very tastefully decorated.

02/01/2026: We dined at this restaurant two nights in a row. Everything was excellent. Ask chef Cristian for advice and you won't go wrong. His pasta with sea urchins.... Top!!!! And what about the octopus and mussels.... we'll definitely be back!

04/03/2026: The food was very good, the restaurant and the atmosphere were bright and welcoming, but the service was quite the opposite.
We immediately felt unwelcome. There was no smile when we ordered or when we were served. After our meal, the staff even subtly made us feel like we should leave as quickly as possible to clear the table.
Unfortunately, this ruined our entire evening 😩 There's definitely room for improvement in how they treat their guests.
04/03/2026: The food was okay – the price for Palermo: well...
But the absolute worst thing here is the entire service: we came from the hotel across the street and were looking forward to a nice evening, but we were treated so terribly – we're just surprised they let us in at all... all the Italians who came were treated more kindly than us... If a restaurant like this were run in Germany, with such rudeness, it would be shut down immediately... absolutely awful... we would never come back here... I much prefer some of the street food places here: incredibly friendly service... but never again to Tondo.

07/10/2025: Had a wonderful experience dining at Caponata. Dined on some absolutely delicious pizza and wine, by recommendation of a server at a near by wine bar. The service was absolutely wonderful, with staff members Valentina and Hamim being so kind and patient while I practiced my Italiano. Will absolutely be back next time I'm in Polarmo. Grazie Mille Caponata!

18/02/2026: The waitress had a really good english and the food came very quickly even when we came in like 30 minutes before closing, the food was also amazing, the waitress also let more people in even when it was closed, to sum up everything was great i highly recommend it.

05/01/2026: Today I ate lunch at this restaurant. The waiters were very kind, but I didn't really enjoy the lunch. I came here on Easter Monday and ate a lot, everything was delicious. However, today there were very few people and everything was a disappointment. I'm sorry, I didn't like the food. I don't know what to say.
It was Easter Monday like last year, the exact same menu, paid a little more because it was a holiday, same time but different table, and I can vouch for that. We were the exact same people. On day 4, my sister was there, plus, I repeat, I ate badly. Apart from the rice and the appetizer, I didn't order anything else.

31/12/2025: Order placed with Glovo (the restaurant uses its own drivers so Glovo only handles the orders): cold chicken, "gone" fried food (I would have called it potato chip spread) and an hour late compared to the scheduled time.
30/12/2025: Inedible pizzas, panelle falling apart.
I ordered three pizzas: one vegetarian, one with spicy salami, and one Napoli. The vegetarian one was undercooked and watered down. As for the panelle, right after I ordered, a regular customer came in wanting to order them, but the owner advised him against it, saying the dough wasn't good and he should avoid it... the advice should be extended to everyone who comes to buy, not just the regular customer! That's why I gave it one star!
A tip to the cashier, a smile to the people who come to the place wouldn't cost her anything, but I understand that it might be difficult for some!
