25/12/2025: An excellent Christmas lunch, free from the constraints of a fixed menu. It was like eating at home, with locally sourced ingredients and traditional cooking. The hostess was friendly, from the phone call to the reservation to the final bill. I highly recommend this restaurant if you want to savor local cuisine.

We went to Da Ninazzu and were very impressed with the quality of the food: the house antipasto was rich and delicious, and the pizza was also really good. The restaurant is beautiful, with a rustic atmosphere that conveys the true essence of the trattoria. On the downside, the menu is overwhelming, limited, and offers very little choice. The service was also disappointing: the waitress insisted we order the antipasto, saying that the fries were "for kids." The most serious thing is that Giulio, a bar staff member, did not intervene in any way and openly agreed with those customers, allowing derogatory comparisons and stereotypes (such as the derogatory comparison of Catanese to Neapolitans) to be easily normalized. As a Catanese, I felt directly affected and deeply offended. A place that tolerates—or worse, ignores—this type of behavior lacks professionalism and respect for its customers. A terrible experience on a human level. I will not return, and I do not recommend the place to anyone expecting even a modicum of civility.

02/10/2025: I was at Lipadusa Restaurant last night, October 1, 2025. After a rich and delicious mixed seafood appetizer, I ordered tagliatelle with tomato sauce, vegetable ragù, and monkfish. Too bad there was no monkfish on the plate at all. I politely pointed this out to the owner, who literally attacked me, claiming the frog was minced. I can confirm, however, that there was no fish in the tagliatelle, not even a hint. I actually ate tagliatelle with tomato sauce, chopped celery, onion, and carrot, and a fish stock. The portion was also very small. After the clarification, I received the bill immediately and the owner himself asked me to pay, telling me they wouldn't serve me anything else. The evening was terrible for other tables near mine, too. Several diners repeatedly complained to the staff about delays, missing dishes, etc. The owner became very nervous and aggressive with all the guests who complained, claiming that at the end of the season he was tired of dealing with people. Terrible hospitality, rating 3. He remained calm and detached; he didn't manage to ruin my evening, even though I would have preferred to eat what he had offered and explained to me. However, the aggression I received was serious. Nice note: The waitress, aware of what had happened, asked if she could offer me an amaro, which I accepted, almost as if to apologize for what had happened. A very appreciated gesture.

02/02/2026: Business lunch on February 2, 2026. We ate a variety of raw fish, plus a pasta dish with sea urchins, clams, and red shrimp. Everything was delicious. Courtesy and helpful. Highly recommended... we were pampered from the start thanks to the helpfulness of the wait staff.

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with great kindness and professionalism: the staff were attentive, smiling, and always available, truly worthy of praise. We chose the set menu, which included an appetizer, first course, and second course, and were more than satisfied: the freshest fish dishes, carefully cooked and served in generous portions, which is always a pleasure. Each course was tasty and beautifully presented, a sign of a kitchen that works with passion. A very positive experience from every perspective. We left very happy and will definitely be back. 16/12/2025: I went there today with a friend for the first time. We ordered the set menu, and I have to say we had a great meal. The service was excellent (though it's fair to say there wasn't much of a rush). The location is also worth a visit, especially because it's well-maintained. Plus, you can visit the animals they keep (for kids). I'll definitely be back.

15/09/2025: The hotel has the best location in all of Scopello. It's right in the center, just steps from the main square. Beautiful views from the restaurant and some rooms. It's a shame the hotel restaurant is closed in September, we would have loved to have dinner there. We had breakfast, but it wasn't worth the price. Overall, I highly recommend it. The staff was very friendly.

23/09/2025: We sat in a quit empty place but even though I speak Italian fluent and twice tried to get the waitress attention she complety ignored our company. The second time she instead smalltalked about where her parents came from with some other guests and just past us by. So don't bother go there, just walk about 75 meters away to a small but charming street nearby where you won't be ignored at the bars and restaurants.

13/09/2025: A nice place to relax after visiting all these beautiful Palermo cathedrals and monasteries. Otherwise — quite a basic place but with friendly staff. The bellini was refreshing!

05/02/2026: We didn't look at the reviews at this restaurant and we made a big mistake. We were lured in by the restaurant being full of people and I really don't understand what kind of happiness these people were looking for. I can understand that the waitresses couldn't cope because the tables were full. But what I don't understand is the quality of the food. We only had pizza and it was the worst pizza of my life, which I didn't expect to experience in Italy. The pizza was strangely greasy (no, we didn't order a frittata), the middle had a muddy consistency and there were half-cooked peppers on top. If you are a tourist and want to taste something good in Catania, you will definitely not experience it in this place! Waste of money for bad food.

28/01/2026: We went to dinner at this place and at the end of the dinner my partner forgot his sweatshirt there on the table so I called to say that we would come and collect it two days later when we went the sweatshirt was no longer there someone from the staff had stolen it so kids be careful of this place because the employees steal and the food wasn't great either.
