30/09/2025: Nice welcome, poor value for money. Food was just okay, dog barked all evening (belongs to the owners or relatives).

27/09/2025: The food was definitely not good, and we had problems afterward. Small portions combined with high prices. The price-to-value ratio was catastrophic. When we paid, they tried to overcharge us by 10 euros. After three years of vacationing in Sardinia, this is the absolute worst restaurant. Beware of tourist rip-offs!!! Please don't fall for the positive (Italian) reviews!!!

17/09/2025: Sad to be so overcharged for such a poor experience with food. Portions are so small that you just can’t believe what you pay for. Me and my husband are great enthusiasts of fine cuisine but the plates here have no real complexity to be so overcharged. I ate poorly in portion and paid an extortion. I couldn’t recommend this place as there are so many other better options around Porto Cervo that are worth what you pay for for. Here you are paying for a view that could be closed in a rainy day not really for a fantastic dining experience. Staff treats you like a king but that doesn’t compensate the bill at the end of the night. Treat yourself at I Fratti Rossi, not here.

11/10/2025: The pizzas at the Bella Napoli Restaurant are delicious. Pleasant location in Alghero's old town, with a beautiful terrace. Friendly staff.

10/09/2025: The food was okay, the service rather poor despite the incredible amount of staff milling around, and the prices were outrageously expensive. A coperto of €1.50 per person is fine, but then an additional 10% table service on top? I've never experienced that in my many years in Italy.

29/06/2025: Quasi da manuale come si possa con poco rovinare un luogo incantevole: ho frequentato per anni per colazioni, caffè e aperitivi questo bar affacciato su Porto Taverna. Non sarà il fatto che il vecchio e fresco arredo bianco-mediterraneo sia stato soppiantato da uno nuovo in tinte scure, che i prezzi siano ulteriormente lievitati e la musica divenuta volgarmente assordante (de gustibus…) ma assistere a come un plotone di giovani addetti e addette impreparati (neppure un sardo fra loro) sia incapace di servire un caffè (l’ordine passato da uno all’altro ben sette volte), il barista col muso lungo che manco sa rispondere e poi - a coronamento - al momento dell’aperitivo dopo aver chiesto se fosse possibile abbassare la musica, nessuno ha avuto la cortesia di un cenno, anzi per tutta risposta il volume è diventato ancora più alto, è qualcosa di davvero sconsolante. Peccato!

21/08/2025: Le Grand at the iconic Hotel Cala di Volpe in Porto Cervo. The dining hall was designed by French architect Jacques Couëlle using curving, irregular plaster walls and wooden sculptures. The menu features Mediterranean classic like seafood and handmade pastas. There are a few modern items like ceviche as well. Service is formal but efficient.

16/10/2025: A lovely restaurant. The view, overlooking the sea and the beach, is clearly the highlight. The place itself is fairly classic, with standard and helpful service and average food, some good, others below expectations.

16/10/2025: Terrible service, rude and very uninterested waiters, they charged us for 4 covers even though we didn't all eat, they welcomed us very badly by rudely moving a table that we had attacked since there was no room on a single table, very beautiful location, shame about the poor management of the restaurant.

01/10/2025: I visited Lo Spiedo Sardo restaurant and was truly impressed. I tasted a simply exquisite sea bass, perfectly cooked and rich in flavor. The service was also impeccable: attentive, friendly, and professional. It's an experience I highly recommend to anyone seeking quality and authentic hospitality.

12/09/2025: Great location, cold food, rude waiters, won’t miss it

09/09/2025: The food was genuinely lovely, unfortunately the customer service was extremely poor. My partner and I had our plates cleared within a minute of finishing our meals. About 5 minutes later we both finished our drinks. We were planning on having another round of drinks and dessert, but 15 minutes went by and none of the 3 front of house staff had made any effort to ask us if we wanted anything else. They let us sit with our empty glasses while they cleared empty tables and sat new customers. The restaurant was not particularly busy, and our table was right next to the door meaning the staff were constantly walking past us. We couldn’t help but feel like they genuinely didn’t care about our custom and seemed to make every effort to ignore our signals. After some time, we finally got the attention of the waitress, but at this point we had been waiting 15 minutes for some service and had lost patience, so we asked for the bill and went elsewhere for dessert and more drinks.

05/08/2025: The restaurant has a beautiful view of the port of Maddalena and the island across the way. The food was very good. Mixed salad was huge, Caprese salad was large and awesome. The truffle cream spaghetti was amazing. And the eggplant Parmesan was fantastic. They have a very large wine list. We chose a mid-priced bottle of red Cannonau wine. They poured the glass, and clearly I could see the rust color right away. The nose was bad, and the taste was like vinegar. I had to sent the wine back and order a less expensive bottle which was much better. The staff didn’t seem too happy that I sent the wine back, but I wasn’t going to pay 60 euro for a wine gone bad. All the male waiters and busboys were very friendly and accommodating, but our female server was not the friendliest of all. The prices are high, but these tourist places are only open 5-6 months of the year, so I guess you cannot blame them. Overall, not too bad. Would come again for the food and the great view. Hopefully they can improve the friendliness of some of the staff.

14/10/2025: Sea bream was very good, spaghetti vongole was mediocre, lasagna was microwaved too short, and the problem child, penne salmon, was made with chopped smoked salmon. No questions asked if it tasted good, no requests for more drinks. They just grabbed guests and then cashed in with an envelope. When I pointed out to the manager that the salmon should be listed as smoked salmon on the menu and my daughter ate almost none, she dismissed it with excuses. Tip: zero euros.

09/10/2025: Today was our first time eating at Regina Margherita, and there were four of us. We were all thrilled with the four different pasta dishes. They were all al dente, and the sauces were delicious. We finished off our meal with two special desserts, as the tiramisu was out of stock. The service was very friendly, and overall, we felt very comfortable. Luckily, we didn't let some of the less-than-stellar reviews put us off.

02/10/2025: The restaurant presents itself with great ambitions, but the reality failed to live up to expectations, due to a completely unsustainable quality-price ratio. The cuisine, rather than surprising, left an impression of being small and uninspiring, with offerings that are unjustified by such an ambitious menu. The service, polite and attentive, remains the best aspect, even if not impeccable. In the end, one is left with the feeling of having paid for the idea rather than the substance.

27/09/2025: We ate at Giagoni in San Panteleo our last night in Sardinia. The garden area is charming and the service very good. The food was delicious! It ranks in our top and for the price it was better than the Michelin starred restaurant we had eaten at earlier in the week which had amazing food, but for twice the price. The was overall a hidden gem right next to the church on the piazza.

25/07/2025: Restauracja serwuje wyborne regionalne jedzenie. Smak makaronu z owocami morza pozostanie ze mną na długo i myślę że ciężko będzie zjeść coś równie smacznego. Zdecydowanie polecam to miejsce!

25/07/2025: Definitely and absolutely the best food we had in the whole Sardinia! Tasty, simple but elevated, fresh and great for the price you’re paying. The waiters are warm, nice and the atmosphere is great. We compared it to Italian workers food - in the best way possible. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! A MUST GO IN LA MADDALENA!

24/09/2025: They get the filling wrong on a sandwich, okay, that's fine, then they burn the pizza and bring it back to me burned for the second time, telling me it's because of the wood-fired oven..?!? 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫.. and that seems like too much to me.. then the bill: over €68 for two pizzas, two sandwiches, and four drinks.. what?..?… You are shameless!! In the end, after paying anyway, they don't even say hello… maybe they want the extra for that too?.. Really rude lady!! They obviously know they're working with a passing clientele, and if they wanted to let people know they don't care that much, at least they succeeded very well in that.. thanks to never again… 🙈🙊🙉

17/09/2025: This place looks nice, and as a matter of convenience we decided to stop in for a bite and a drink since our rental wasn’t ready. The spritzes were good, but maybe that’s where it ends. While we were seated, I noticed customers waiting in line unattended for 20–30 minutes, frustration written all over their faces. Where it really went limoncello-sour for us was when they mixed up our order with another table’s. A simple mix-up: we ordered a Margherita pizza, while the other table had ordered a plain pizza. It took a while to even get their attention since it was so busy. But instead of admitting the obvious mistake, they tried to convince us that what they served was a Margherita—while putting on an ignorant attitude. I’m from New York, and while we may not be the home of Italian food, we make a pretty damn good Margherita. Don’t insult my intelligence. Don’t piss on my leg and tell me it’s raining. Be careful with this place.
