12/10/2025: The worst experience in gastronomy I have ever had. It started with really bad service, which immediately made it clear that they did not like seeing us. We then waited quite a long time to order. When someone finally came to us, we were told that we could only order three different dishes for the table. Given that there were 9 of us, it was quite difficult to agree. We then waited an hour and a half for our food, and during that time, no one even stopped by our table to order the wine. After an hour and a half, they finally brought the food. Unfortunately, not for everyone at the same time, but one dish after the other within about twenty minutes, so it happened that one had finished eating and the other had not yet eaten. The food was average, but the portion was half. In a completely simple dish like Mozzarella with tomatoes, for which we also waited an hour and a half, we were surprised to find a hair. When transferring the bill, the waiter did not say a word, threw the bill on the table and left. Please, find another restaurant.

12/10/2025: Excellent restaurant in the historic center. The food is good both as a restaurant and as a pizzeria. Prices are quite high, but the dishes are very delicate and delicious. The atmosphere is a bit chaotic and noisy.

25/08/2025: Excellent restaurant in the historic center of Bitonto, at the foot of the splendid Cathedral.

28/09/2025: We ate at the restaurant two evenings. The fish was very good, and the older waiter was very friendly and competent. The second evening was less good; we had to wait over an hour for a fish soup and a pizza. The waiter was partially apologetic. However, the behavior of this older lady – apparently the manager – who showed no sign of regret when asked was extremely unpleasant and completely unprofessional. The same was true of the behavior of the lady at the cashier, apparently the daughter of the house, who responded to my comment in an arrogant and not at all service-oriented manner. The only logical consequence: we ate at a different restaurant for the next three days. As a guest, you don't have to put up with such arrogance from the owners!!!

18/09/2025: The quality of the food is truly impressive, the fish is incredibly fresh, but what really makes the difference is the service. Mimmo is a true professional, thanks for the advice, and thanks to him, we'll be back.

16/06/2025: We had a lovely meal to celebrate our wedding anniversary at this beautiful restaurant. The setting, next to the basilica, was spectacular as the sun set over the sea. The food was fantastic as was the service.

16/06/2025: Etwas entfernt vom lebendigen Hafen mit seinen vielen Restaurants liegt das Regia im Hotel Palazzo Filisio ruhig neben der Katherale und liefert richtig gutes Essen mit sehr netten Service (Nunzio). Unbedingt draußen essen; drinnen ist es eher weniger schön.

03/10/2025: We had lunch during our visit to the Sanctuary of Saint Michael the Archangel, and it was a wonderful experience, a real find, a gem in the city. The chef, besides being friendly and welcoming, is a wonderful cook.

25/08/2025: I'd like to sincerely thank the owners and all the staff at Agriturismo Santa Chiara. They were always kind and helpful, ready to help us or check in. They offered us a beautiful room overlooking the pool. The included breakfast was delicious, with a nice mix of sweet and savory. Sometimes the lady cooks for guests, and I must say she's truly excellent. I absolutely recommend staying there for dinner, as it was a delicious and warm experience. The agriturismo is large and welcoming, perfect for taking photos or reading a book while relaxing in the sun by the pool. I found a bit of my hometown in them, as they are family-like, kind, and welcoming—just what I was looking for in southern Italy. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable, safe, and welcoming place.

23/08/2025: A charming place surrounded by nature for a completely relaxing holiday. We were welcomed by kind and helpful hosts who catered to our every need. Close to wonderful beaches.

05/10/2025: Excellent food, excellent service, just meters from the Roman amphitheater. The price was a bit steep for our budget (not absolutely), but considering the quality of the ingredients and their preparation, the location, and the professionalism and courtesy of the staff, it's all worth it. A seafood dinner with an appetizer, a first course, a second course shared for two, two glasses of wine, a delicious and surprising dessert, and a passito. The entree also included a selection of ten baked goods (a variety of bread, focaccia, and pizzo leccese) and the chef's after-dinner treats (with several dessert samples), offered by default to all guests. Total: €135. The quality of the seafood was excellent. Once in a while, for those with a modest standard of living and a low-to-medium income, it's a truly enjoyable experience.

04/10/2025: A unique place in Lecce downtown where traditional food meets modern art. The host, Sasha, is fulfilling you every wish. And the wine list is spectacular. Try the red wine Mimi, 2017, it’s one of their running horses. Together with my friends, we spent an unforgettable evening there which later in the night, turned into an argentinian tango music night. viva la musica, il cibo ed il vino salentino.

10/09/2025: As usual, I ate well, but the wait was really unnerving. Very few staff (just two guys) for a pizzeria that's always busy.

08/09/2025: Super light and easy to digest pizza, taken out. I'm not a regular pizza eater because I often wake up the next morning with a sticky mouth and a thirsty stomach; in my experience, that wasn't the case here. I ordered a pizza with buffalo mozzarella and raw ham.
