16/11/2025: Simple and perfect! Breathtaking views and friendly, well-prepared service. The dishes were all perfect, authentic, local flavors cooked with love. Each dish was a surprise, and the good flavor is a signature dish. I recommend the house antipasto and the pasta alla genovese. The buffalo mozzarella is top-notch, as are the cured meats. 25/01/2026: Ordered an aperitif for two gluten-free people, and received only 6 measly pieces: 2 rustici, 2 focaccias, and 2 croquettes. Price: €9, an unbelievable price! Not to mention the watered-down spritz! Absolutely not recommended.

Someone told us to come back at 1:00 PM, and when we returned at 1:00 PM, the restaurant was closed. Thanks for the wasted time and the appalling service. But it's certainly our fault, just like all the other customers who leave negative reviews.

06/01/2026: Epiphany lunch. I've been missing this place for a while, but sadly, today I feel like it's not what it used to be. The €35 adult menu is fine, but the €25 kids menu is fine, but that doesn't mean kids don't appreciate the quality. Discount-priced cooked ham, orecchiette with ragù for half the plate, cold and half hot. The waitress asks if the children's cutlets have arrived, and when she says no, they arrive 45 minutes later only because they'd asked for them again. The cutlets arrive with raw potatoes soaked in oil, and the little girl herself (5 years old) tells the passing waiter that he can take it away. The girls' meat arrived after coffee, when I was enjoying a very cold barrel-aged grappa in a cicchetto, except for everyone else who enjoyed it in a suitable glass and, most importantly, at room temperature... What can I say? I've been back, but I won't, and I'm going back to the person who recommended it.

The terrace is nice, but the high lounge-bar tables are truly out of place with the old atmosphere. Many dishes have lost their original flavor and freshness. It's a real shame; I won't be returning.

04/01/2026: A lovely restaurant in the historic center of Bitonto. The first course, featuring cardoncello mushrooms (€20 for the dish, which raises expectations), was a sore point. The pasta, poorly combined with the sauce, immediately tasted strange. We reported the anomaly to the friendly wait staff and sent the dish back to the kitchen. We would have expected at least a brief apology from the chef when we received the bill, which we would have paid anyway. The "mangiaresano" (healthy eating) on ​​the Wi-Fi password should be changed to "mangiaresanosetivabene" (eatinghealthyandhealthy). Anyone who ate those two forkfuls of pasta before sending it back reported severe stomach pains. A bit disappointed.

30/11/2025: Grandma Rosa moves me every time, because I feel like a child again when I accompanied Dad Nicola to the fishmonger's. I remember a kind of childlike happiness. Her joke was always the same: 'Only what you see'? This phrase was a sort of sesame seed! The fishmonger would go to the back and immediately display a crate with the best catch of the night. I smiled every time, happy and incredulous at the same time. I still wonder today what this statement could have evoked in the eyes of the owner?! I'm sitting here today at the Nonna Rosa restaurant in Muro Leccese. And I always ask myself the same thing. Why does this place bring back memories? Why? Perhaps it's Claudia's cheerful smile, reassuring and friendly? Or the simplicity of the dishes, anything but banal? The pervasive calm that prepares the palate? 08/12/2025: Typical Apulian cuisine, authentic flavors, and high-quality products. Excellent service from the owner, Angela, and extremely talented chef, her husband, Stefano. After a lovely stroll through the alleys of Ostuni, Lo Spessite is ideal for a meal that reflects the true essence of Puglia. Highly recommended.
