06/06/2026: Simply the best restaurant in Stresa by a country mile. We ate there twice and wasted one meal we could have had there trying somewhere else-what fools were we! Fabulous.

05/06/2026: It was the best gastronomic experience of the four days we spent in Stresa. The dishes were made with excellent ingredients and beautifully presented, and the almond rice was divine and mouth-watering. The restaurant is very welcoming, intimate, and softly lit, with a beautiful open kitchen. The service was attentive and professional, and the entire staff was impeccable and very friendly, something we didn't find in other places, even the most renowned ones. The atmosphere was lovely. Not to be missed.

31/05/2026: We tried this restaurant by chance the first time, but we loved it so much we returned a second time. The staff were very friendly, the atmosphere was charming, and the menu was varied. We tried both the pizza for dinner and the pasta dishes the next day for lunch, and everything was delicious. Highly recommended.

04/05/2026: A lovely place in the center of Stresa. The food is good; I recommend the juniper-sauced venison with polenta. The first courses are also good and well-cooked. The ravioli del plin are excellent. The staff is very attentive and friendly. There is seating both inside and outside in the square.

02/05/2026: The sheer number of Michelin stars on my little trip through Lombardy and Piedmont is starting to feel a bit overwhelming. This trattoria, just outside the hustle and bustle of Ispra, completely won us over. We were lucky enough to snag a table for our group of four without a reservation, and the appetizers and main courses were excellent. The dessert was delicious too. I'd say this is Piedmont at its best! A definite recommendation from me.

02/05/2026: I honestly think the restaurant has all the makings of one of the most charming and professional establishments on Isola Superiore, as well as in the entire Borromean Islands area. However, while the staff is prompt, extremely professional, and quick in serving guests, I believe that when the place is crowded, it feels the inevitable emotional pressure caused by the accumulation of requests for food and drink. Unfortunately, during my stay with my partner on May 2, 2026, I didn't have the opportunity to dine at "La Rondine" due to a misunderstanding that could easily be resolved. Nevertheless, I can say that, as a former professional (with many years of experience) in the restaurant service industry, I really empathized with the waiters, especially the affable and lively young man with sunglasses and a long beard. Although I offered to come back in about 40 minutes to try and find a table, he abruptly interrupted our conversation and (rightly) went back to serving customers. Although I intended to return, as I promised, I faced my partner's disapproval over the incident and immediately agreed to return to Stresa. That said, I hope this review can be a positive starting point for improving an already excellent table service. I recommend investing in mindfulness and emotional intelligence courses for staff, so they can experience customer service in a pleasant and rewarding way.

23/04/2026: Spectacular restaurant location overlooking the water on the beautiful island of Pescatori / Stresa and the food quality and variety excellent! Enjoyed the veal and grilled vegetables with vino blanca, iced in a pasta can! Check out their store that has family-owned FABULOUS olive oils, balsamic, spices and more. Sarah speaks awesome English and her knowledge and attitude matches. I actually made a video as I was so impressed ❤️🇮🇹

05/05/2026: The welcome was warm, and the food was delicious. The back room wasn't great, especially since it was noisy; a large table was talking very loudly, so our romantic meal was ruined. A shame!

02/06/2026: A fantastic restaurant! It's a nice place with good food, but what impressed me most was the quality of the pizza dough, which I found truly light and digestible. The atmosphere is very warm, and the staff is extremely friendly. The price is truly fair: a generously sized pizza, a medium red draft beer, and a craft liqueur, totaled €34. How many stars? I can't help but give it a perfect rating, because I can't find any flaws. As soon as I have the chance, I'll be back.

And then, you can find the white myrtle. And can we talk about the wine list? And that white Genepy??? 05/11/2025: True hospitality in a small hotel with a big heart. Just 2 km from Stresa, it has parking and a private beach, excellently soundproofed rooms, and a breakfast buffet with homemade pastries, cured meats and cheeses, and freshly cooked eggs. The staff are friendly and professional, both in their welcome, room cleaning, and breakfast service. Congratulations, we'll be back!

09/10/2025: Large room, large bathroom, and large balcony. Clean. Good breakfast buffet. A bit noisy on weekdays, right on the street. Parking is available across the street. Staff and manager are friendly and accommodating. They always try to accommodate. Approximately 2 km to Stresa, not recommended for walking. No continuous sidewalk. Part of the way is on the street.

19/04/2026: Compact, but incredibly tasty place. When you enter the premises and see the laconic interior, you don't expect anything incredible. But!!! Every bite of each dish is a masterpiece! The chef is just an artist. The waitress is great. Recommendations!

07/04/2026: A top-notch culinary experience. We tried the lobster, red shrimp, and scampi agnolotti (sublime), and two slices of the catch of the day, both incredibly fresh and perfectly cooked. The dessert and recommended wine were also excellent. ​Note on the service: The order is taken directly by the chef; this slightly lengthens the initial wait, but ensures extreme care in explaining the dishes. Once we ordered, however, the kitchen was extremely fast and the service impeccable. ​Highly recommended for those who prioritize the quality of the raw ingredients.

10/05/2026: Dance discovery! The place is a bit retro, the service fast and friendly. We had lunch with 2 calzones, 1 cutlet and fries, 6 pizzas, 4 bottles of water, 2 ice creams, 2 desserts, and 2 coffees. The pizza was very tasty, with plenty of toppings. The idea of ​​bringing a homemade shortbread cookie at the end of the meal was very nice; they were delicious, a simple idea that made the whole thing cozy. We spent €149.50. The location is beautiful, right in front of the lake. I would return.

The value for money was excellent compared to other restaurants we tried in town, where the service was also significantly inferior.
