05/11/2025: A wonderful experience! Around 1:30 pm, we were found a table for two upstairs with a magnificent view.
The sage ravioli were marvelous, and the house pasta al ragù was delicious.
I highly recommend it. I highly recommend it!
02/11/2025: There were nine of us and we chose just one dish: a first or second course.
The choice was wide and everyone was satisfied.
I had prawns, grilled fish, and seafood risotto... I had grilled whitefish, which was good, just a little too salty.

07/03/2026: Wonderful dinner at Trattoria Due Piccioni in Stresa. The restaurant has a cozy and authentic atmosphere, slightly away from the busiest tourist streets, which makes the experience even more pleasant.
The food was excellent, with fresh ingredients and beautifully prepared dishes inspired by local Piedmont cuisine. Everything we tried was flavorful and well balanced, especially the pasta and regional specialties. The wine list was also very good and reasonably priced.
Service was friendly, attentive, and professional, making us feel truly welcome throughout the evening. A fantastic trattoria if you want to enjoy high-quality Italian cuisine in a relaxed and charming setting. Highly recommended.

27/02/2026: I stopped in Stresa for work and chose Stornello because I read they also have vegan options. Since it's not an exclusively vegan restaurant, my expectations weren't very high. But I was wrong... their vegan dishes are nothing short of spectacular!! Starters, main courses (even the seitan goulash), and dessert! I'll be back, even if I have to travel all the way from Verona.

04/04/2026: I went there to try one of their pizzas. The toppings are high quality, but the quantity didn't seem sufficient to give it 5 stars: there's a lot of dough. While it's certainly good and the wood-fired oven is well-executed, I would have liked to see more toppings. The tiramisu, however, is homemade and of good quality.

14/10/2025: Family-run restaurant, very welcoming, the risotto with chocolate, goat's cheese and "out of this world" pumpkin was truly delicious, the venison with chestnuts and pumpkin was excellent, the dessert was also very good, I highly recommend the place, I also recommend booking.

15/03/2026: Today we went to this restaurant for a very large family lunch, about thirty people.
The food was excellent and high-quality, the service very professional, and the service was enriched with short videos about fishing and the work they do with passion and love for the lake.
We found a welcoming atmosphere and felt like part of the family.

Christmas motorboat to the Island of Lights – Nativity scenes and flavors on Fishermen's Island: a truly special evening, one that will last a lifetime.
For the lights event, we booked dinner at Ristorante Italia, on the island of the same name, and even our arrival on the water, amidst the Christmassy reflections and atmosphere, promised something unique.
I'm not a fan of fish—especially lake fish—but I have to say that here they literally made me love it. Dishes of lake fish were divinely prepared, carefully presented, and passionately described by the owner: a talkative, pleasant, and deeply engaging person. Like the rest of the family, of course, but he in particular was able to guide us, with enthusiasm and expertise, in choosing the best they had to offer.
The photos speak clearly and tell a lot, even if they can't fully convey the emotions we experienced at the table.
Last but not least, the discovery that the restaurant also offers round-trip boat transportation to and from Baveno and Stresa. A boat piloted by the son: a detail that makes all the difference and makes the experience even more intimate, complete, and evocative.
An evening of lights dancing on the water, authentic flavors, and genuine people.
One to cherish forever.

30/03/2026: The place looks nice, but the food isn't up to par.
Polenta with cheese, sweet and bland;
Spaghetti cacio e pepe, sweet and tasteless;
Gnocchi with tomato and burrata, with a tomato sauce very similar to passata, sweet and flavorless.
The fish, however, was good!
The staff, however, were friendly.

Top-quality ingredients: the mixed antipasto of lake fillets (5 different selections) is the perfect way to savor the local flavors; you can taste that it's prepared and marinated in-house. The tagliolini with fish ragù is a must-try. Friendly service and a welcoming atmosphere.

05/11/2025: True hospitality in a small hotel with a big heart. Just 2 km from Stresa, it has parking and a private beach, excellently soundproofed rooms, and a breakfast buffet with homemade pastries, cured meats and cheeses, and freshly cooked eggs.
The staff are friendly and professional, both in their welcome, room cleaning, and breakfast service. Congratulations, we'll be back!

A bit noisy on weekdays, right on the street. Parking is available across the street. Staff and manager are friendly and accommodating. They always try to accommodate.
Approximately 2 km to Stresa, not recommended for walking.
No continuous sidewalk. Part of the way is on the street.

18/03/2026: This restaurant is recognized as the most expensive in Stresa.
After hearing this news, we went to try it... a restaurant with a cellar, nice but with its flaws.
Not enough staff... you wait too long between courses.
The food is of average quality, the quantity is small... let's be clear, small portions.
I'd say, without offending anyone, the Oscar statuette is absolutely not awarded...
The outrageous price... I won't go into details.
I live in Moncalieri, but I come to Stresa to this restaurant. It's OUT OF THE MARKET + LOGISTICS (LAW: PETROL) + TOP HOTEL +... I HAVE TO WORK FOR A WEEK.
I'LL FINISH WITH EQUALLY COMPETITIVE AND GOOD PLACES FOR FOUR TIMES LESS.
RECOMMENDED FOR THOSE WITH GOOD MONEY AND NOT HUNGRY.
06/03/2026: I had high hopes for celebrating my boyfriend's birthday here, but it turned into a very disappointing experience.
• Regarding the food and ambiance: Objectively speaking, the sashimi was indeed very fresh and delicious, and the overall atmosphere of the restaurant was very quiet, which is why I gave it two stars.
• Regarding the service (extremely disappointing): I made a reservation in advance and clearly stated that it was a 'birthday dinner,' hoping to be given a quiet spot with a good view, and asking if a small candle could be added with dessert. However:
1. Seating arrangement: Upon arrival, we were only given seats near the restroom or in the aisle. Inexplicably, the restaurant wasn't fully occupied that night, and better seats by the window were empty all night, yet they refused to accommodate our pre-booked birthday guests.
2. Lack of ceremony: The small candle we had requested was completely forgotten, and we didn't even hear a single 'Happy Birthday' greeting all night.
3. Cold service: There was no basic courtesy or greeting when we paid the bill; the service level was severely inconsistent with the €100 per person price tag.
I wanted a wonderful birthday memory, but in the end, I only felt neglected. I wouldn't recommend this place to diners who value service quality and a sense of occasion.
