06/06/2025: Tuvimos una deliciosa comida y una gran experiencia aquí. Nos hicieron sentir muy bienvenidos y el servicio en todo fue excelente. La decoración es muy sencilla y el restaurante está justo fuera de los puntos turísticos, pero el menú es más variado por esa razón. Tomé el risotto con queso local y bresaola, que fue un primer plato pero una porción muy generosa. Mi marido tenía cerdo en salsa de mostaza con patatas y verduras y compartimos un maravilloso pastel de chocolate y helado. Todo se cocinó perfectamente y a 69 euros incluyendo media botella de vino y el cargo de tapadera, excelente relación calidad-precio.

08/06/2025: We spent six wonderful days in and around Stresa. During these days, we were able to call this wonderful hotel our home. It was very well located just outside of Stresa's city center. Quiet and easily accessible. The hosts were super friendly and welcoming. Manuela had the perfect excursions for us every morning, tailored to the weather forecast. A hotel that we highly recommend and would visit again ourselves at any time.

02/06/2025: This is clearly not a michelin table. For anyone used to french michelin table (I'm not talking about stars or anything) please don't be fulled. When a client is asking for a non alcoholic drink and the only thing you have to propose is sprits without proposing anything else when the client is not interested, this is not a michelin. The menu is made of paper sheets, decorated with oil drops 👌 this is not a michelin. The quality of the starters, well, there is no balance in the tastes, the salade is thrown in the plate the sauces are too acidic. For the plate, you don't put aluminium paper around a potato in a michelin table plate, nothing is neat, from the poor salad leaves that are lost in the plate, the stuffing is grossly cut, no balance in the tastes. This is really the level of an average braaserie you'll find in france, and that you'll forget about. Let's skip the dessert cause it is of the same level really. I was scared of another tourist trap, well I should have thought twice before going there.

23/05/2025: We had a wonderful lunch on Saturday, May 17th at Stornello: the dishes were excellent and refined, and the service impeccable. The best part: Mimo's friendliness. 11/05/2025: Productos de calidad alta pero precios demasiado altos frente al tipo de comidas ofrecidas (al menos para los platos con mariscos). Por ejemplo, seleccionamos una "meseta" de pescado crudo que por 60 euros era de calidad muy buena pero no tan rica tanto en cantidad como en tamaño de cada artículo.

10/05/2025: We had a wonderful taste menu lunch. We chose the modern option and got interesting interpretation of the lively chef. We like the fact the chef was serving the dishes explaining and having a small talk. We learnt the fishes source is mainly Sicily and not the lake. Over all the food was tasty, we got several techniques of the same fish which was nice. We were lacking a bit more of everything the toppings and the sauces to make the dishes and flavours more rich. For the cold starter we got lumberjack sashimi which was fresh and good but could enjoy more olive oil and tomatos. For the warm starter we got cuttlefish with Katsuobushi (dried Japanese fish) it was a refreshing topping to the delicate cuttlefish, again a bit more sauce would make it better. For the secondi we got sea food ravioli which was very delicious. The main dish was beautiful fried lumberjack which was very tender. For desert we got a delicious apple pie with ice cream. All the pleasure with a nice local wine and tip was 100 each.

04/06/2025: My companions and I dined here for lunch at around 12 noon on a Wednesday. We each got the light lunch menu which was around 24 euros. It includes a main course, a dessert, coffee, and water. The tortelli ripieni al lucioperca was delicious and filling. I highly recommend it. The tiramisu and crème brûlée are really good and are highly recommended as well. The staff are efficient and hospitable. The ambience was lovely and the interiors are tastefully designed. We look forward to dining here again when we come back to Stresa.

31/05/2025: No es fácil comer mal en Italia, pero es posible aquí. Los ingredientes carecían de calidad: las setas porcinas eran a la vez húmedas y acuosas, y la salsa de tomate de la otra pasta era sosa y poco inspirada. Solo se utilizaron hierbas secas. La comida parecía tan aburrida como sabía. Uno de los cuchillos estaba sucio, lo que era apropiado. El pan estaba tan seco que no se podía comer. Nos sentamos en sillas de plástico sucias en el jardín. Al menos el vino espumoso de la casa era aceptable. Cobrando 2 €. 50 por persona por un "cargo de cobertura" / coperto es absurdo. Prácticamente nada era satisfactorio; lo único aceptable era el vino de la casa, como he dicho, la razón del segundo punto. Pagué 14€ por el peor pomodoro de espaguetis de mi vida. Cualquier cocinero aficionado podría haberlo hecho mejor.

31/05/2025: Ich kann die negativen Bewertungen nicht nachvollziehen. Ich habe an dem zentralen Platz kein ruhiges Restaurant erwartet wo Mama in der Küche kocht. Dafür aber ein gutes anständiges essen an einem Platz an dem es Spaß macht zu sitzen . Vorspeisen sehr gut , Pizza auch sehr lecker. Sehr gute weinauswahl . Wir hatten nicht das Gefühl das Man uns schnell abfertigen will um den Tisch wieder frei zu bekommen . Saßen gut 2 Stunden dort an einem Samstag Abend. Also klare Empfehlung

11/05/2025: Lastresa Restaurant: gentlemen, Good Food is served. The quality of the raw materials, refinement and elegance of the dishes make this place the best restaurant in Stresa. During our week in Stresa we had dinner at this place 3 times. Our regret is that we are too far away and cannot return to enjoy those dishes that are a joy for the palate. A round of applause and applause to his chef and his sous chef. Professional, helpful and friendly staff. Highly recommended.
