10/06/2026: You can sit right by the water, the service is lovely, and both the mixed grilled fish platter and the fritto misto are excellent! It's very busy, but the friendly, multi-faceted staff works together seamlessly and has everything under control.

08/06/2026: It's more like a canteen than a restaurant (the inside). The service is assembly-line style. The food is really bland. We ordered lasagna and gnocchi, both dishes were tasteless; it's quite surprising that you couldn't even taste the cheese...

06/06/2026: Simply the best restaurant in Stresa by a country mile. We ate there twice and wasted one meal we could have had there trying somewhere else-what fools were we! Fabulous.

05/06/2026: It was the best gastronomic experience of the four days we spent in Stresa. The dishes were made with excellent ingredients and beautifully presented, and the almond rice was divine and mouth-watering. The restaurant is very welcoming, intimate, and softly lit, with a beautiful open kitchen. The service was attentive and professional, and the entire staff was impeccable and very friendly, something we didn't find in other places, even the most renowned ones. The atmosphere was lovely. Not to be missed.

31/05/2026: We tried this restaurant by chance the first time, but we loved it so much we returned a second time. The staff were very friendly, the atmosphere was charming, and the menu was varied. We tried both the pizza for dinner and the pasta dishes the next day for lunch, and everything was delicious. Highly recommended.

02/05/2026: I honestly think the restaurant has all the makings of one of the most charming and professional establishments on Isola Superiore, as well as in the entire Borromean Islands area. However, while the staff is prompt, extremely professional, and quick in serving guests, I believe that when the place is crowded, it feels the inevitable emotional pressure caused by the accumulation of requests for food and drink. Unfortunately, during my stay with my partner on May 2, 2026, I didn't have the opportunity to dine at "La Rondine" due to a misunderstanding that could easily be resolved. Nevertheless, I can say that, as a former professional (with many years of experience) in the restaurant service industry, I really empathized with the waiters, especially the affable and lively young man with sunglasses and a long beard. Although I offered to come back in about 40 minutes to try and find a table, he abruptly interrupted our conversation and (rightly) went back to serving customers. Although I intended to return, as I promised, I faced my partner's disapproval over the incident and immediately agreed to return to Stresa. That said, I hope this review can be a positive starting point for improving an already excellent table service. I recommend investing in mindfulness and emotional intelligence courses for staff, so they can experience customer service in a pleasant and rewarding way.

23/04/2026: Spectacular restaurant location overlooking the water on the beautiful island of Pescatori / Stresa and the food quality and variety excellent! Enjoyed the veal and grilled vegetables with vino blanca, iced in a pasta can! Check out their store that has family-owned FABULOUS olive oils, balsamic, spices and more. Sarah speaks awesome English and her knowledge and attitude matches. I actually made a video as I was so impressed ❤️🇮🇹

06/07/2026: We were somewhat influenced by the reviews and tried the Trattoria due Piccioni restaurant. Unfortunately, we weren't particularly impressed. I had the bread with a pâté as a starter, which was quite alright. My partner had a mixed platter that was too acidic. For my main course, I had the tortellini with eggplant filling and a very bland tomato sauce. It was okay, but I admit I had hoped for something more. My partner had the ravioli with a lamb sauce. This was significantly more flavorful. We were both rather underwhelmed. Of course, it's possible that other dishes are better. The service was very friendly and efficient.

23/06/2026: A restaurant serving good (real) food amidst this sea of ​​mediocre establishments is a real find. A bit more expensive, of course, but very reasonably priced. Friendly and professional service. The large terrace is lovely on the square in the summer.

05/05/2026: The welcome was warm, and the food was delicious. The back room wasn't great, especially since it was noisy; a large table was talking very loudly, so our romantic meal was ruined. A shame!

12/07/2026: Excellent restaurant, I went once to try it, and a second time to confirm that it's perfect. The food was superb, and the service impeccable, provided by a smiling, friendly, and efficient team of young people. One small drawback: the woman at the reception ignored us; perhaps she has a problem with the French!

11/07/2026: This was an unfortunate dining experience. We saw they had a pistachio tiramisu on the menu and wanted to stop in for dessert one night on holiday to celebrate a birthday. We asked if we could order it for take away, and they said no. We said no worries, then could we sit for a quick dessert. They didn’t like the size of our group, and told us no to service. So we said okay, we will come back another day to try it. We then came back at lunch time, and zero people were in the entire restaurant. We sat and then ordered, and when they saw it was just dessert, they said oh no you have to leave. When we explained they literally said to come back in a smaller group for dining in, they said “fine” after asking for approval. We ordered to desserts and two glasses of wine to share for four people and it came out to 50 euros! They charged us 16 euros for service (4 per person), after already rudely not wanting to serve us. And we had to still go up to pay the bill… they didn’t even come to our table. Really silly and rude to charge 16 euros in service to bring two pre-made desserts (that weren’t excellent by the way) after already not wanting us to be there… really, when your restaurant is empty, you should be kind to patrons who are just trying to celebrate a birthday and asking for a quick dessert. I would choose somewhere more kind and less pricy for the quality. The price wasn’t worth the attitude and quality of the food - it was a rip off compared to other places.

04/07/2026: Noisy, Caesar salad; endless green salad, croutons made from stale bread, three tiny pieces of chicken, and look for the Parmesan... and no bread for dipping: €18 Staff who don't understand French or English Personally, I was disappointed by the quantity and quality. I had to ask for tomatoes.

05/11/2025: True hospitality in a small hotel with a big heart. Just 2 km from Stresa, it has parking and a private beach, excellently soundproofed rooms, and a breakfast buffet with homemade pastries, cured meats and cheeses, and freshly cooked eggs. The staff are friendly and professional, both in their welcome, room cleaning, and breakfast service. Congratulations, we'll be back!

09/10/2025: Large room, large bathroom, and large balcony. Clean. Good breakfast buffet. A bit noisy on weekdays, right on the street. Parking is available across the street. Staff and manager are friendly and accommodating. They always try to accommodate. Approximately 2 km to Stresa, not recommended for walking. No continuous sidewalk. Part of the way is on the street.

12/07/2026: We ate for two. The food and service were excellent, and the staff were super friendly. Just be careful, the prices don't match those found on Google or other sites, which aren't updated but are 4-5 years old or more. The prices are roughly in line with other restaurants. While we didn't agree with those prices, we ate well. The location is excellent, allowing you to continue your stroll through the center or head to the lakeside.

12/07/2026: Of all the experiences we had in Stresa, Ristorante Caffè Torino was not one to remember. The meal service was so rushed that it must have been pre-prepared plates that had simply been microwaved. The aperitif arrived after we had already received our main courses. The wine was served as we were finishing our meal. The service was disorganized, and the prices were slightly higher than other cafes (for example, a bottle of water was €1 more).

10/07/2026: Excellent restaurant, good and friendly service. I had the grilled fish with a side order of grilled vegetables, well prepaired and tasty. Nice view of the lake, until a suv parked and blocked the view. Ouw second time my girlfriend had the pumpkin tagliatelle, very tasty. Ihad the lambchops, very well grilled, baked potatoes very nice.

03/07/2026: The pizzas are excellent, cooked in a wood-fired oven. The staff are very friendly and professional. I highly recommend this place.
