04/10/2025: Excellent risotto with porcini mushrooms. Very good vitello tonnato. Perfect meal.

20/09/2025: A very nice terrace on the first floor, and very friendly and charming service. The fresh pasta and fish dishes are particularly good. The portions are generous; it's hard to manage three full courses. Ideally, therefore, starters and side dishes are shared. We had the eggplant timbale and the mussels as starters, and both were very aromatic. The kitchen also prepares meat excellently. A particularly positive aspect is that many wines are available by the glass, so you can try more. We enjoyed the hospitality several times.

03/05/2026: Very nice location. Separate outdoor space, useful if the weather is so-so. Restrooms are reasonably well-maintained. Very friendly staff. We enjoyed a risotto with ossobuco, truly excellent, and a vegetable pizza. The only flaw is that they usually serve grilled vegetables on pizza, not carrots!

10/05/2026: This restaurant does not need money. They do everything to make clients run away. I passed yesterday during lunchtime. The restaurant was empty, the terrace was only 25-30% full. It was hot. I asked if I could use their bathroom and would then take something to drink and something light to eat. I was declined, I was told it’s not a bar. I told that it’s emergency and that I don’t plan taking just a drink, that I will also get some food. I was again declined saying I should go somewhere else. Which I did. I went to another place and spent nearly 50 euro as their service was very pleasant and the menu was inviting to try several things. And I will with pleasure go back there again. And to La Bruma I have only one answer: the fact they are not “a bar” should not mean they are a zoo. Their unkind, unpleasant way of talking, lack of human understanding and sending me away in fact made good to their competitor restaurant.

28/04/2026: A "local" on the Don Minoli up to our accommodation Casa Federica.My gnocchi with chestnuts,and a creamy cheese sauce ,my friends Calzone took up the whole plate.A taste of local culture,as well as the food and generous rose.

23/04/2026: I ate the best pizza there, "Frutti di Mare," and the staff is friendly and helpful! The road from Cannero is very, very narrow and should really only be used by drivers with mountain driving experience!

05/05/2026: A lovely restaurant on the harbor promenade. We had fish and pasta. Both were very tasty and of excellent quality. The service was very friendly, efficient, and quick. We highly recommend it. We'll definitely be back.

13/04/2026: The price-performance ratio is unacceptable here. It starts with the cover charge of €4 (!) for half a glass of sparkling wine and a bread roll. We ordered two T-bone steaks, both of which were served almost raw without any prior consultation. We sent them both back and received them again cooked medium. At 10 p.m., they simply turned on the heating and opened the door. Several things don't justify these very high prices. We certainly won't be coming back.

05/11/2025: True hospitality in a small hotel with a big heart. Just 2 km from Stresa, it has parking and a private beach, excellently soundproofed rooms, and a breakfast buffet with homemade pastries, cured meats and cheeses, and freshly cooked eggs. The staff are friendly and professional, both in their welcome, room cleaning, and breakfast service. Congratulations, we'll be back!

09/10/2025: Large room, large bathroom, and large balcony. Clean. Good breakfast buffet. A bit noisy on weekdays, right on the street. Parking is available across the street. Staff and manager are friendly and accommodating. They always try to accommodate. Approximately 2 km to Stresa, not recommended for walking. No continuous sidewalk. Part of the way is on the street.

10/05/2026: Dance discovery! The place is a bit retro, the service fast and friendly. We had lunch with 2 calzones, 1 cutlet and fries, 6 pizzas, 4 bottles of water, 2 ice creams, 2 desserts, and 2 coffees. The pizza was very tasty, with plenty of toppings. The idea of ​​bringing a homemade shortbread cookie at the end of the meal was very nice; they were delicious, a simple idea that made the whole thing cozy. We spent €149.50. The location is beautiful, right in front of the lake. I would return.

19/04/2026: Compact, but incredibly tasty place. When you enter the premises and see the laconic interior, you don't expect anything incredible. But!!! Every bite of each dish is a masterpiece! The chef is just an artist. The waitress is great. Recommendations!

07/04/2026: A top-notch culinary experience. We tried the lobster, red shrimp, and scampi agnolotti (sublime), and two slices of the catch of the day, both incredibly fresh and perfectly cooked. The dessert and recommended wine were also excellent. ​Note on the service: The order is taken directly by the chef; this slightly lengthens the initial wait, but ensures extreme care in explaining the dishes. Once we ordered, however, the kitchen was extremely fast and the service impeccable. ​Highly recommended for those who prioritize the quality of the raw ingredients.

17/04/2026: Fantastic stay at Auberge La Ripa! A warm welcome, even though it was late. The room had a view of the lake and the Borromean Islands, which wasn't originally planned. A truly lovely room, and a generous and complete breakfast. Thank you, Paola, for this little slice of paradise. See you soon!

12/04/2026: We stayed with our dog over the Easter weekend at this beautiful hotel, just steps from the center of Baveno. It retains all its early 1900s charm with period furniture. The tastefully furnished rooms feature balconies overlooking the internal garden and a splendid view of the Borromean Islands. The hotel has a lovely garden with a terrace equipped with tables and umbrellas overlooking the private beach below. What more can I say? It's beautiful. Mrs. Paola is a wonderful hostess, very kind and helpful, and upon our arrival she unexpectedly upgraded our room to a larger one with a lake view. I hope to return soon.
