18/10/2025: My experience at this place was terrible. I didn't like the place; it smells so old, with dirty mirrors, tables too high for the seating, the lady serving was rather unfriendly, but above all, the food I ordered: lasagna alla bolognese. I thought that since it was an osteria, they'd cook the lasagna well, with lots of béchamel and ragù, as is traditional. Instead, I received a plate that looked completely unappealing; it seemed covered in a dull film. When I cut the pasta with a fork, I realized that the bottom layer was hard, dry, and almost burnt. The lasagna was just pasta, without its trademark ingredients. I tried to eat some despite everything, but after a few forkfuls, I couldn't stand it anymore. The lady asked me if everything was okay, but I was honest and said I didn't like it at all. She saw the plate was almost full. Finally, my husband gets his coffee. It wasn't possible to have it diluted with hot milk because we had a milk frother. All we had to do was heat the milk in a saucepan. At the cashier, I expected not to have to pay for my dish in full; if she had been a lady, she wouldn't have charged for it at all. Instead, my uneaten lasagna cost me 16 euros!

03/11/2025: An intimate and very welcoming restaurant. Our go-to when we're craving pizza! I think it's one of the best in the entire area. Medium-large pizzas, crispy and thin crust, generous toppings with any ingredients you want. Always fresh ingredients, especially freshly sliced ​​cured meats and fresh mozzarella. I love you! 23/10/2025: Let's start with the fact that we weren't able to book due to "time/forgetfulness/hesitation." We arrived and they found us a table, no problem, but with a slightly annoyed expression... (maybe because the girl was in a wheelchair?) The place itself isn't very big. It's unique in various ways. Lots of non-Italian tourists. We ordered an appetizer that was out of this world, not good, more than that! As for the "pizza," absolutely NOT! Too thin, without a crust, and with little toppings; not at all, in fact, we left it. The staff was varied: a kind and polite girl, a guy with glasses (perhaps the owner) who was all alone, and a lady who had a perpetually angry face.

13/09/2025: We stayed in this historic hotel and were truly enchanted! Our room directly overlooked the splendid Borromean Islands: a dreamlike panorama, perfect for a romantic getaway. The atmosphere is welcoming and charming, with a touch of old-world elegance that makes everything even more special. A special thanks to the owner, who was incredibly kind and attentive: she recommended a truly delightful evening meal and even arranged a little surprise for my husband—a gesture we greatly appreciated and which made our stay even more memorable.

23/11/2025: We stopped here as a couple on a Sunday in November and had a plate of fusilli with lake fish ragù and green tagliatelle with artichokes and lake fish. Both dishes were very good and of high quality. The fusilli menu included lemon cake and a cover charge. The place has indoor space but also a terrace overlooking the lake, where we sat in the sun, and despite it being November, we had a great time. A pleasant discovery. We paid about €25 each, including water, two coffees, and a bunet (a drink not on the menu).

26/11/2025: Right by the lake, so you start with an awesome setting. I enjoyed the the seafood pizza, the Fish Plate and really enjoyed the tiramisu. Very friendly staff. Atmosphere is not fancy, very chill and laid back. A must to visit.

29/10/2025: We only wanted to have a drink at lunchtime, and even though the restaurant was practically empty, we were refused service. We can't understand this at all, because in the off-season, you'd think they'd be happy with so few customers... and drinks are a good source of revenue. Very disappointing! 20/09/2025: A very nice terrace on the first floor, and very friendly and charming service. The fresh pasta and fish dishes are particularly good. The portions are generous; it's hard to manage three full courses. Ideally, therefore, starters and side dishes are shared. We had the eggplant timbale and the mussels as starters, and both were very aromatic. The kitchen also prepares meat excellently. A particularly positive aspect is that many wines are available by the glass, so you can try more. We enjoyed the hospitality several times.

09/11/2025: Hadn’t booked a table but they did fit us in. Busy when we arrived which made getting drinks and ordering a little slow. Drank some wonderful local red wine, food was really very social, my risotto was outstanding and we would certainly return again.

14/10/2025: Avoid this restaurant at all costs! Totally unprofessional! We found ourselves standing in front of closed doors this afternoon, even though Google said the restaurant was open. There's no indication on the website that the restaurant is closed today. Can't be reached by phone either!

14/10/2025: I've been to the Grotto St. Anna a few times over the past few years, but each time I felt less hospitable and less welcomed as a guest. The sign on the gate in German stating that only drinks are served with food isn't exactly a welcome – it could certainly be addressed differently. And today, the absolute low point. As always, we walked to the grotto and unfortunately found ourselves in front of a locked gate. Even though Google and the website said it should be open from 12 p.m., we waited in vain for 40 minutes in front of the locked door before heading back. No "closed" sign, no voicemail, no information... and we weren't the only ones; they probably didn't need it.
