La location è ottima, il personale è cordiale ma il prezzo è ESAGERATAMENTE alto rispetto alla qualità della cucina che ritengo comunque gradevole. Il prezzo del vino è completamente fuori misura....2 prosecchi iniziali su loro invito (quasi come fossero di benvenuto) e tre calici di rosso registrano 90 euro ... Un dolce normalissimo 16 euro.....il furto è stato perpetrato... Non tornerò più ovviamente....si può trovare decisamente di meglio.

02/06/2025: This is clearly not a michelin table. For anyone used to french michelin table (I'm not talking about stars or anything) please don't be fulled. When a client is asking for a non alcoholic drink and the only thing you have to propose is sprits without proposing anything else when the client is not interested, this is not a michelin. The menu is made of paper sheets, decorated with oil drops 👌 this is not a michelin. The quality of the starters, well, there is no balance in the tastes, the salade is thrown in the plate the sauces are too acidic. For the plate, you don't put aluminium paper around a potato in a michelin table plate, nothing is neat, from the poor salad leaves that are lost in the plate, the stuffing is grossly cut, no balance in the tastes. This is really the level of an average braaserie you'll find in france, and that you'll forget about. Let's skip the dessert cause it is of the same level really. I was scared of another tourist trap, well I should have thought twice before going there.

23/05/2025: We had a wonderful lunch on Saturday, May 17th at Stornello: the dishes were excellent and refined, and the service impeccable. The best part: Mimo's friendliness. The server, in addition to being cheerful and attentive to his customers, gave us ideas for visiting the beautiful town of Stresa. Thanks, Mimo. Vincenzo and Alessandra

18/05/2025: A very nice hotel (18 rooms) with an attached restaurant. A lovely garden with small seating areas, enclosed with plants, invites you to linger. Your car is parked in a private space in the underground garage of the neighboring supermarket.

11/05/2025: Doveva essere un pranzo per la festa della mamma ma si è rivelato essere un disastro . Tempi di attesa lunghissimi, senza scuse da parte dei responsabili. In 4 avevamo già finito l’antipasto quando è arrivato il piatto per il quinto ospite. La cameriera è inciampata al momento di servire un caffè e l’ha rovesciato sul tavolo, facendo un commento che nessuno ha capito e lasciando una vistosa macchia. Al momento del pagamento del conto ho chiesto al signor Giordano se non voleva sapere da me come era andata. La sua risposta: “non mi interessa. So che non è andato bene e non voglio litigare “. Persa l’occasione per scusarsi…Una maleducazione inaudita. Non posso assolutamente raccomandare questo ristorante. Il pranzo della festa della mamma è stato rovinato! Mai più!

18/05/2025: We reserved a table for the evening (recommended if you want to sit outside). The staff were super friendly and welcoming. We ate pizza and pasta with salmon sauce. It was simply delicious. We'll definitely be back.

11/05/2025: Productos de calidad alta pero precios demasiado altos frente al tipo de comidas ofrecidas (al menos para los platos con mariscos). Por ejemplo, seleccionamos una "meseta" de pescado crudo que por 60 euros era de calidad muy buena pero no tan rica tanto en cantidad como en tamaño de cada artículo.

10/05/2025: We had a wonderful taste menu lunch. We chose the modern option and got interesting interpretation of the lively chef. We like the fact the chef was serving the dishes explaining and having a small talk. We learnt the fishes source is mainly Sicily and not the lake. Over all the food was tasty, we got several techniques of the same fish which was nice. We were lacking a bit more of everything the toppings and the sauces to make the dishes and flavours more rich. For the cold starter we got lumberjack sashimi which was fresh and good but could enjoy more olive oil and tomatos. For the warm starter we got cuttlefish with Katsuobushi (dried Japanese fish) it was a refreshing topping to the delicate cuttlefish, again a bit more sauce would make it better. For the secondi we got sea food ravioli which was very delicious. The main dish was beautiful fried lumberjack which was very tender. For desert we got a delicious apple pie with ice cream. All the pleasure with a nice local wine and tip was 100 each.

17/05/2025: The food is good and quality, and the place has a nice location overlooking the lake. Unfortunately the experience was compromised by the behavior of the staff: rude, arrogant, VULGAR and unprofessional, both with us and with the table next to us. I expected a service of a completely different level.

04/02/2025: We stopped here with our 5-month old infant when he needed a break from driving and it was so wonderful. It was late in the afternoon so we were the only guests, but they took great care of us. The food and wine were fabulous - everything we could have hoped for in a quaint little restaurant. Highly recommend!

01/06/2025: In den letzten Jahren sind wir wann immer wir Besuch hatten oder etwas zu feiern wollten oft und gerne in das Grotto Sant Anna gegangen. Das Essen war ohne Einschränkung hervorragend, auch wenn die Speisekarte im Laufe der Saison nicht variiert wurde, so dass es es nach einigen Besuchen etwas langweilig wurde. Aber trotzdem sind wir immer gerne zu Gast gewesen. Auch in dieser Saison wären wir gerne wieder kommen, z.B. um übermorgen den Geburtstag meiner Frau mit unseren Freunden zu feiern. Scheinbar sind aber Gäste im Grotto in diesem Jahr nicht mehr willkommen. Reservierung über ein Portale geht natürlich nicht, das war uns bekannt. Eine Emailadresse zur Reservierung wird auf der Webpage auch nicht angezeigt, dafür aber 2 Telefonnummern. ABER, das Telefon ist sowohl mittags wie abends unbesetzt. Niemand nimmt ab, eine Voice Mail gibt es nicht und man landet nach endlosen Versuchen immer auf einer unpersönlichen Bandansage. Schade, nun müssen wir nach einem neuen Lieblingsrestaurant Ausschau halten.

29/05/2025: A restaurant with excellent food, a perfect location, a lovely ambiance, and friendly service. It truly deserves 5 stars. We were there for lunch and thoroughly enjoyed it. Recommendation: Reservation of a table.
