Acanto Restaurant In Milano

I brought my husband for dinner to celebrate his birthday. The food exceeded my expectations, and the friendly staff made our experience pleasant. HOWEVER, one thing about the service bothered me so much. So so much. The waiter who handed over the menu opened the menu book for us, specifically opening the “a la carte” part. While they have the tasting menu page, this waiter kindly opened the “a la carte” page and handed it over to us. He never came back to our table again. The moment it happened, I thought ‘Maybe I had to book for the tasting menu in advance to order it?’ so I asked another kind waiter who served our table. He said that of course we can have a tasting menu without a reservation so we ordered two tasting menus. I realized that the first waiter who served us the menu did it on purpose, taking for granted that we would not order the 125-165 per person tasting menu but would get single dishes only. Later I saw him serving the table next to ours, handing out menu to the people. HE OPENED THE TASTING MENU PAGE FOR THEM. Yeah, me and my husband look super young and we were dressed casually. But it is not right to treat customers based on their looks. You have to treat everyone the same, who visited the restaurant and was willing to pay and enjoy the dinner. Thanks to other waiters who were nice and friendly to us, we forgot about it and focused on our dinner. However, what has happened doesn’t really disappear.

Buona l'accoglienza, locale elegante con atmosfera soft , adatto per una cena romantica , d'affari o semplicemente per trascorrere una serata chill. Piatti all'altezza del locale. Peccato non siano presenti proposte di dolci vegani o senza lattosio per soddisfare tutti , a fine cena , indipendentemente dalle tolleranze a certi alimenti. Comunque un posto decisamente da provare !

A starry brunch, without a doubt! This is what we're talking about. Don't be fooled by the certainly not cheap cost because the experience is worth it all. In fact, what you can experience during brunch in this wonderful restaurant located at the Principe di Savoia hotel is an all-round experience. Let's start with the environment, refined, elegant, discreet and really well frequented. We were welcomed by a trio of musicians who entertained us during the meal with delicious music in the background. At the table the very attentive waiters welcomed us and after explaining how the brunch worked, they served us the flut of champagne included in the price. It was an exceptional Veuve Clicquot Cuvée Saint-Petersbourg which, unlike the other "Yellow labels", uses a liqueur d'expedition aged for one year. Great wine, of great elegance that we paired with the first round of the buffet. In fact we started with a series of raw fish appetizers: sashimi, oysters, razor clams, red Mazzara prawns, shells, crabs, tuna carpaccio, swordfish, salmon, amberjack tartare, anchovies and anchovies... and I'm definitely forgetting something! The shell department was good, but not exceptional, the rest was truly sublime. This first taste alone was worth the cost of brunch! We then continued with another round: seafood salads, octopus with potatoes and fassona tartare. The tartare was fantastic and at this point we decided to go all the way by pampering ourselves with a bottle of Bellavista Alma Gran Cuvée. Exceptional and very versatile, it also worthily accompanied the third round of cheeses, including creamy gorgonzola, stracciatella, buffalo morsels, Parma ham and an encore of Fassona tartare! In this case I followed the suggestion of the very kind waitress who made me try some excellent Apulian EVO oil which enhanced the flavors of the cheese. At this point we received the hot dish of the day which consisted of maltagliati with veal ragout and cocoa powder. Excellent flavor and balance of ingredients. A high level dish. A brunch without eggs is not a brunch! And so they brought us a poached egg served with a stracciatella foam which embellished everything. Finally, a trolley of desserts where you were spoiled for choice. A wide selection of bread and savory croissants were available to guests. In short, as we understand, it was a fantastic Sunday, 3 hours spent in absolute relaxation, enjoying unique flavors and emotions.

Locale preparato per atmosfera particolare, per momenti da ricordare. Personale fantastico e servizio impeccabile. Chef da incorniciare.

High value for money, really friendly waiters, as soon as you enter you are immediately at ease, the second courses are something crazy, I recommend it!

One of the rare Michelin places that actually does deserve the stars

Reserved this restaurant for an anniversary. First noted the very luxury style decoration, the environment was very amazing. The waiters were absolutely fantastic, especially Nikola (our waiter who was the funniest waiter I have ever seen). Food was delicious and at the end we got a surprise for our anniversary as a plate with "happy anniversary" written in chocolate and a candle. The sommelier was also very professional with the wine list and provided us with excellent wines with our foods. We loved it and will for sure come back for another fantastic dinner. Thank you.

Bella serata in cui abbiamo mangiato molto bene e siamo stati assistiti da un servizio professionale e rapido. Il contesto contribuisce in maniera determinante a rendere tutto piacevole. Complessivamente un'esperienza da ripetere e consigliata. Unica nota stonata il prezzo dei vini che andrebbe rivisto in modo radicale.

La cornice del Principe di Savoia rende il ristorante estremamente piacevole. Il menù si presenta all'altezza del luogo e sia la presentazione dei piatti che il servizio sono di ottimo livello. La qualità del cibo è discreta ma non ci vedi rappresentata la vera anima dello chef. La rassegna dei vini è più che valida.
