06/03/2026: We ate there twice. I'm celiac and I read that they had gluten-free pizza. The first time, they told me they had run out of gluten-free pizzas and I had to eat meat. I gave them a second chance and they clarified that they no longer make gluten-free pizzas. So I went back to eating meat. The food was good, but under the stars because they don't have a gluten-free option. Just grilled meat.

07/03/2026: A 10 out of 10!!! Everything was delicious, especially the tagliolini allo scoglio. Compliments to the chef. The staff was incredibly friendly and the menu was extensive. Highly recommended.

11/06/2025: Après avoir crapahuté dans les montagnes, ça fait du bien d'aller manger ici. Lieu simple et rassurant, on s'y sent à l'aise, tout le monde est gentil et les pizzas sont très bonnes, pour un tarif contenu.

18/12/2025: Excellent restaurant in Portovenere's main square. Dishes are well-prepared, both in quality and quantity. It's lovely in the summer with outdoor seating, though service is a little slow. But I think that when you sit down to eat, you also enjoy the company of your companions.

07/03/2026: Weekend in Laigueglia for a bike race and dinner at Tino and Marco's. A very pleasant atmosphere with a splendid veranda overlooking the sea. I started dinner with a creamy chickpea and herb soup, delicious and delicate with a touch of sautéed herbs. Next, I had orecchiette with turnip tops and calamari. The pasta was good quality and cooked just right, in my opinion. The calamari was very tender and flavorful. Perhaps, again in my opinion, they could have been a little better. The Unione with turnip tops was perfect. Overall, I enjoyed it and recommend it.

17/02/2026: We visited this restaurant a couple of Saturdays ago. There wasn't a wine under €50 available (despite the menu offering €25/30 bottles), and the service was pretentious but incompetent. The capon magro was just vegetables and very little fish. The main course was average, but still not worth the expense. It's the first time I've had neither dessert nor coffee in a restaurant; it was a terrible evening. Perfect for tourists.

29/11/2025: This is the second time my family and I have visited this wonderful restaurant. Today my kids had pizza, while my husband and I had the fish menu. I can only confirm my first experience: a truly charming place, excellent food, and friendly, impeccable staff. Not to mention the owner, who is the real highlight. Highly recommended for the excellent food and very fair prices.

01/02/2026: The restaurant appears OPEN on Google Maps, but in reality it's CLOSED. Updating basic information seems too complicated for you. We planned part of our trip specifically to come here, wasted time and energy, and found ourselves faced with closed doors, without any warning. A total lack of respect for customers. If a restaurant closes, the minimum you can do is update Google Maps. It only takes a few minutes. Your negligence has ruined part of our trip. Absolutely not recommended. Zero reliability.

06/01/2026: Beautiful 1960s-style location. Excellent food, friendly staff. Relaxing atmosphere where you don't have to rush but rather enjoy a family-friendly setting, where you can savor Savonese cuisine.

04/02/2026: After much deliberation, due to the numerous bad reviews, I finally gave this place the benefit of the doubt. Indeed, the much-discussed old man is sitting proudly at the entrance, watching television. And yes, he does throw the cutlery on the table. No offense intended; he's seen it all before, and this is just his way of doing things. Inside, someone is eating just a plate of fries, another still has his coat and hat on, and yet another's dog is lying on the couch. If this isn't your style, then stay away. I, for one, feel right at home. This is an Italian restaurant as it should be. Genuine, pure, original, no frills, no fancy stuff. A waiter arrives after me, half an hour late. Another half hour later, another waiter. Half an hour later, a new person gives me a sweet snack. Meanwhile, the old man has refilled my wine. The staff are kind, friendly, and helpful. The food is delicious, fresh, simple, and affordable. The kitchen is working at top speed. This is quality, honest food, and a cozy atmosphere with real Italians. Appreciate these kinds of places; they're a dying breed. Highly recommended by Hollandstadt.

During the holiday season, the bar is enriched with a special touch, thanks to the selection of Strega-branded sweets. 27/12/2025: Overall the food is very good with fresh fish but the problem that made me give 4 stars instead of 5 is that for 5 people we paid a lot but that's normal yes you could see that the environment and the place from the outside was very expensive but we ate well and the service is very friendly

09/01/2026: What can I say...we went there this summer and ate there six times in 7 days, so it seems clear to me that the formula...first courses/pizza and desserts without reservations...is a winner. Regarding the quality and quantity of the dishes...EXCELLENT... Congratulations. And I forgot...we returned to the San Bartolomeo area for a few days...and we couldn't help but return to Basilico 😜👍🏼

17/02/2026: AVOID AT ALL COSTS: A real tourist trap! An absolute disgrace from start to finish. If you value your money and your stomach, walk right past them. The dish (A blatant rip-off): An €18 "Octopus with Potatoes" that borders on insulting. The octopus is tasteless, probably thrown into the water without any preparation, accompanied by undercooked potatoes. Zero seasoning, ridiculously small portion. We're promised a "hearty" meal, we get a "mediocre" one. The drinks: A Hugo cocktail served with blackened and damaged lemons. Serving expired or rotting products at this price is simply unacceptable. The service: A young waiter with glasses who has the friendliness of a malfunctioning robot. No welcome, no smile, no consideration. You feel like you're bothering them. The setting: Old-fashioned, chairs with holes in them... you wonder where the customers' money goes. The bill: Over €57 for two mediocre starters and two cocktails, plus a €2.50 "service charge" (a joke considering the poor service). Soulless food, nonexistent service, and exorbitant prices for mediocre quality. Don't waste your evening here; there are much better options for less money.
