31/01/2025: Intimate atmosphere, excellent food and very friendly and helpful staff and owner. Very fresh and divinely cooked fish. The home-made falanghina is excellent. Perhaps the best fish restaurant in Gaeta.

20/01/2025: I went for lunch with my family on a Sunday in January. The owner is a very welcoming and helpful person towards guests. The products are fresh and very good. We will definitely return

30/12/2024: You go there and you come back and then you come back and then you come back again and again! Nice setting, lovely staff, great cocktails and good food at very reasonable prices. The tapas formula is perfect for an aperitif, but if you stay and taste something more it becomes a good dinner. Chicken popcorn is a must for children who then, by tasting some tacos or bao, enjoy a good and tasty meal.

09/01/2025: We ate out as we hadn't booked. A place from the past century with waiters who serve you because they are doing you a favor, but the best spaghetti allo scoglio I've ever eaten. Compliments to the chef and his wife who is very kind.

30/12/2024: The place is very nice, distributed in various spaces and very welcoming. We came in the winter so it was nice and warm, but we will return in the summer to repeat the experience. The food was good although the menu is quite sparse. For a place that professes to be a pub you should have a French fry, also because baked potatoes may not appeal to everyone (here I am!). The final bill was perhaps a little expensive. The service... We had to get up a few times to call the waiters, and again: a place that calls itself a restaurant should not allow this to happen. Maybe this confused me a little: is it a tavern? A restaurant? A pub? It is not clear what identity the place wants to have and this is reflected in the menu, the service and the management of the room.

26/01/2025: We had dinner at this restaurant with my daughter. Much attention to the gluten-free dishes, all very good. Mr. Angelo served us with great kindness and friendliness, he recommended the tiella and the voter dish, highly recommended

06/01/2025: Wonderful place 🥰 I often go to Gaeta and every time I stop to eat in this super restaurant. This year we decided to celebrate New Year's Eve here at Follaro and I must say that on this occasion too I was positively surprised by the quality of the food and the dishes cooked in an excellent manner. I thank Davide, owner of the restaurant and all his collaborators for offering us these pleasant moments and for their availability and friendliness...😊

10/01/2025: Close to the medieval heart and the historic center of Gaeta, in a characteristic little square overlooking the sea and the entire gulf, there is this small place that delights with a variety of delicious dishes, creating contrasts of flavors and combinations of products in the dishes that the owner and chef (Giuseppe) deliciously enjoys making with the freshest products, a beautiful and excellent selection of wines and craft beers, it is not a restaurant, I would like to point this out for those who don't know it and for those who perhaps expect a real own restaurant, you dine outside in the small square and in the adjacent courtyard of its relevance, rightly in the summer periods and sunny days, for the winter period it has two small internal rooms with very few seats but well structured, the service in my opinion is a little limited and slow but it is at the disposal of the owner so nothing to say about it, what I personally don't tolerate is I don't like to see, it's the employees who smoke during working hours even if apart and moreover who after smoking don't wash their hands, for me this should be avoided, the owner Giuseppe and his wife, that is, the owners, are two wonderful people, very kind and very nice. Congratulations all and for the success that you have achieved over many years, I recommend everyone who goes to Gaeta to go to Mare Fritto.

14/01/2025: This place is quite an oasis among the touristic circle of Gaeta. Where other places in this city are insanely rising prices offering mediocre food, this place is offering good plates at affordable prices, exactly what you expect as a resident in this city. Service is fast and the ambient is good. It also has an external space that must be delightful in spring/summer.
