25/02/2025: Pizza Bufana was delicious, but next time it could be completely full. Tiramisu also good, ambience OK at least in the outside area which I can rate. I went in to pay and found that both the owner(?) and my waiter were standing in the bar area with a cigar and a cigarette respectively. An absolute no-go in the guest room, which significantly reduces the overall impression of the visit. Too bad. But also disgusting.

23/09/2024: Pranzo di fine estate con amici in questo locale da noi conosciuto. Grazie alla compagnia e alla qualità e cura dei piatti serviti è stato un ottimo pranzo per tutti noi. Da consigliare spaghetti vongole bottarga, penne integrali pomodoro bufalina, gamberoni. :))))

06/04/2025: A True Gem by the Sea During our recent visit to Trieste, we had the pleasure of dining at Tavernetta al Molo, a charming seafood restaurant located in Grignano, near the Miramare Castle. The correct spelling of the restaurant is “Tavernetta al Molo,” and it is situated in Grignano, not “San Gargano.”  Nestled right by the water, Tavernetta al Molo offers a picturesque setting with tables overlooking the serene marina. The ambiance is both simple and welcoming, allowing diners to fully immerse themselves in the tranquil seaside atmosphere.  Our meal was nothing short of exceptional. We indulged in a delightful pasta dish brimming with an assortment of fresh shellfish, including shrimp, small shrimp, capezzale (scallops), and vongole (clams). The seafood was cooked to perfection, and the accompanying sauce was rich and flavorful, enhancing the natural taste of the shellfish. The highlight of our experience was the warm and engaging hospitality of the staff. Two gentlemen attended to us with genuine friendliness, making us feel like cherished guests. One of them, named Matteo, stood out with his charismatic presence. His attentive service and amiable demeanor added a personal touch to our dining experience. At the end of our meal, Matteo graciously invited us to view his vintage yellow Fiat 500, an old-timer car that exuded charm. We shared laughs and captured memorable photos with the car, creating a delightful conclusion to our visit. While we were so engrossed in the experience that we didn’t take many photos, the few we did capture, especially with Matteo’s iconic Fiat 500, serve as cherished mementos of our time at Tavernetta al Molo.  For those seeking an authentic Italian seafood dining experience in Trieste, Tavernetta al Molo is a must-visit. Its combination of delectable cuisine, idyllic location, and heartfelt hospitality makes it a standout destination. We left with full hearts and satisfied palates, eager to return on our next trip to Trieste.

03/03/2025: Sono stata a pranzo la domenica prima del Carnevale. Immaginavo sarebbe stato caotico, ma è un eufemismo. Sala piena con tanti camerieri che andavano su e giù (alcuni anche un pochino maldestri), per pura fortuna però troviamo un tavolo. Per prendere l'ordinazione i tempi di attesa erano tutto sommato giusti, ma il servizio era pessimo sotto ogni aspetto: posate e tovaglioli, quella che definivano "tovaglietta" sembrava più un volantino pubblicitario. 2,50 euro per un coperto inesistente in poche parole. Tempi di attesa biblici (almeno un'ora e mezza) per le pizze. Mio figlio ha ordinato una pasta con salsa di pomodoro, arrivata quasi subito (10 minuti) mentre gli altri a bocca asciutta. I camerieri non si sono nemmeno premurati di portare del pane o dei grissini (ripeto, 2.50 euro di coperto!). Altra gente, seduta ai tavoli da molto (in attesa) e altrettanto spazientiti hanno preso e se ne sono andati, a maggior ragione. Inoltre, nell'ordine, si sono pure dimenticati una pizza (ahimè, capita, ma nemmeno una parola di scuse). Pizza con buoni ingredienti ma la pasta cruda, gommosa. Mangiato solo per fame (dopo un'ora e mezza, almeno quello). Il tocco finale è stato il momento del saldo conto: quasi 30 euro a testa e il titolare pretendeva conto unico perché "tanto pagate in contanti vero?" Ahi ahi, dopo che i miei amici hanno fatto notare la pessima esperienza riusciamo a pagare separato. Arrivato il mio turno, evidentemente perché sono donna (al mio amico non ha fatto commenti) il "gentil signore" mi viene a dire che siamo degli scostumati (davanti a mio figlio, tra l'altro). Che faccia tosta. Ho lavorato in ristorazione pure io per anni, e la giornata no può capitare a tutti. Però, nemmeno un "mi scusi, oggi siamo incasinati", uno sconto per il servizio pessimo, un bicchierino della casa o qualsiasi altro gesto di cortesia. Zero. Terribile. E poi i maleducati saremmo noi. Per il caffè ci siamo affidati a buone caffetterie in città, lì non meritava un minuto di più. Ps. Ci sono, a Trieste, molte altre pizzerie che meritano per gentilezza, servizio e qualità. Qui mai più, piuttosto un kebab al volo.

15/03/2025: The pizza is good but I agree with those who contested the Aperol spirit, the dose is very minimal and does not even add 1/8 of a classic glass of wine, a quantity that is also far from the specifications. But I must say that in the face of our doubts he took away the Aperol spritzes

13/04/2025: Very kind and courteous, I had forgotten about my nephew's allergy to rice and they came to us with various proposals. Good Neapolitan-style pizza, the pizza dough is fried a little too often to my taste but excellent ingredients. Excellent starters.

24/02/2025: I often get takeaway poke from Casa Fazi. The ingredients are quality and the sauces are balanced, neither salty nor bland. The only note is that for example the medium bowl could be larger... let's say that it's not enough to fill you up completely. It's a shame that lately there is no longer raw tuna as a protein but only salmon.

07/03/2025: Gli amici non lo conoscevano, ed avendolo noi provato di recente li portiamo certi di far bella figura ! Polpettine, flan, frico, cotechino, primi piatti….tutto eccellente, amici soddisfatti particolarmente dopo aver assaggiato i deliziosi dolci…ed abbondantemente bevuto dell’ottimo Refosco. Torneremo in Friuli questa primavera e non mancheremo di tornare a trovarvi

28/12/2024: Conosciuto da amici, lo troviamo facilmente e dispone di un ampio parcheggio… Entrando il locale sembra rustico ed accogliente, ma niente a che vedere col piano superiore dove ci accompagnano per il pranzo : restiamo semplicemente sbalorditi ! Bellissimo ed in stile, caldo e confortevole… Accoglienza cordiale e servizio rapido e preciso, ordiniamo antipasti frico e un cotechino elaborato… tutto buonissimo e molto ben presentato. Indubbiamente lo Chef ci sa fare 👏👏👏

13/04/2025: I understand that it is Saturday but waiting 45 minutes without even coming to take the order and ignored is not a good business card. The waiter was very good and smiling but leaving him alone on the floor is not rational management.

12/04/2025: The pizza is impeccable with a soft crust like bread, the environment is clean, while the service is courteous.

23/02/2025: Went here for the first time today and were looking forward to getting to know a new look. Service and ambience were basically okay. Food was also ok. Unfortunately, there was an unexpectedly negative situation at the end when paying: We asked for the invoice, but that took a little longer. Everything together cost 97.50. I had 120 in cash. Apparently the waitress was expecting a hefty tip of 12.50. We sat there waiting for the billing for about a quarter of an hour, while the waitress undeterred cleared away all the side dishes and served other guests. To us, this gave the impression that she wanted to "get" the tip. Finally she came. But it took another few minutes until she brought the remaining money of 10 euros. Without a thank you or goodbye from her, we left the restaurant perplexed. Since we are often in Grado, we will certainly avoid this restaurant in the future. Too bad.

21/02/2025: Very nice and small tavern that offers a 15 euro menu for lunch. Buffet and a first course, even more than one. We had a good time but I recommend preparing different dishes because in our case there were 3 first courses based on sauce and one without, so I would recommend varying them to have more choice.

04/03/2025: It was September, but I don't remember what year it was. However, I remember the place very well. We had dinner and enjoyed tasting their best specialties. Kindness and friendliness integrated well into the hospitable and well-kept environment. I must add that in general these Friulian places have accentuated tourist accommodation qualities.
