05/11/2024: Lunch for 8 after visiting the Castle. Perhaps, in November it is usually closed and these days of spring sunshine have induced them to keep it open, the fact is that, having sat down at 1.30pm, we were served at 2.45pm. We heard diners around us complaining for the same reason. First of all, both the spaghetti with clams and the cavatelli with sauce were literally crunchy, anything but al dente. Extremely poor mixed fried food: although we had ordered three, we ate very little. Ditto for the three grilled fish: if I ask for 3 (25 euros each) I expect three of everything to arrive, not a bit like it happens to be divided between the three diners. Eight of us brought us a single bag of bread with 5 wheels of baguettes. The whole thing, 256 euros. We paid for the sea view.

08/12/2024: Simple but welcoming place, attentive, friendly and approachable service. We went for a quick lunch with friends, even though the place was full we were greeted quickly and served in normal times. The menu is almost entirely fish-based, with simple variations for non-fans. Price appropriate for the quality of the food and the location. The simplicity of the two elderly managers was appreciated.

11/08/2024: Abbiamo prenotato in questo ristorante spinti dai consigli ricevuti e devo dire che sono stati consigli bene accetti, il posto è caratteristico della zona (forse un po retrò) accogliente con pochi tavoli ben distanziati, la cena è stata ottima e il conto assolutamente in linea con quello che abbiamo apprezzato.

11/08/2024: Pranzato con mia moglie sabato 10 agosto. Presa una porzione di prosciutto di Sauris, mentre mia moglie prende il tris di primi. A seguire, io prendo il gulash con polenta mentre mia moglie sceglie il frico. Tutto di nostro gradimento. Ottimo il gulash, dalla carne tenera e con un sugo ben ristretto. Per dessert, una torta di mele con gelato. Servizio veloce e cortese. Conto giusto.

07/08/2024: La Granseola is a big restaurant at the beachfront avenue. Their pizzas were just great. The staff was very nice and the service was quick. It was popular place so allocate some time to be seated during the weekends.

08/12/2024: Good pizzeria in the center of Udine. Place in the center where you can spend a pleasant evening. Very good and refined pizza. Visually and above all in the tasting phase. Very friendly staff and above all with a spontaneous smile. Compliments. Do I recommend it? Obviously yes.

19/11/2024: Location in Barcola, directly on the sea. Splendid view. A big applause for the staff. Excellent breakfast (also for celiacs). The restaurant is good. The room where we stayed was a little cramped. The car park is very small with limited availability of spaces and on the adjacent road it is not easy to find a free space.

08/12/2024: Il posto è molto bello lo dico sempre eppure manca sempre quando ci vado quell' attenzione al cliente che manca in questo luogo. Sono ritornato per una cena buffet a tema con presentazione di un libro. Innanzitutto non trovavano la prenotazione poi ok si doveva pagare in anticipo prima di entrare in sala ...un po' strano ma vabbè...poi pago una discreta somma ma chiarisco e dico di aver lasciato un anticipo alla prenotazione di cui non c'era traccia. Dopo un po' di imbarazzo e chiarimento riesco ad entrare. Alla fine della serata chiedo un caffè ...mi fanno capire al bar che non serviva pagarlo in quanto avevo partecipato all' evento e comunque avevo pagato quasi 40 euro....distratto tiro fuori i soldi e sorpresa....me l'hanno fatto pagare... No comment.....

06/12/2024: La location è estremamente curata, così come la mise en place, il servizio e l'impiattamento. Il menù non è affatto banale, con diverse note fusion che magari possono lasciare un po' di dubbi leggendolo, ma che si rivelano sorprese nemmeno poi così ardite al palato. Le porzioni sono da ristorante gourmet, ma il conto è sicuramente concorrenziale. È stata una piacevole sorpresa.

03/11/2024: Great food. Both typical Trieste and some Neapolitan dishes given the origins of the chef and the owner. Attention and care in the presentation of the dishes, as well as excellent quality of the products. We took a mix of appetizers, baked fish with potatoes (a really important quantity for two people, not to be taken for granted!) and the Neapolitan pastiera (very fresh!). The waiter was really kind!

08/12/2024: Non è la prima volta che ordino in questa pizzeria e purtroppo mi è capitato che le pizze fossero fatte in modo discutibile. stasera ho ordinato una pizza con aggiunta di melanzane e peperoni e con impasto alle olive. mi è arrivata una pizza con melanzane crude (palesemente erano state cucinate da crude assieme alla pizza) e con 4 olive intere sopra la pizza al posto dell'impasto alle olive. fosse stata la prima volta ci sarei passato anche sopra ma, purtroppo, mi è già capitato altre volte.
