24/07/2025: A prestigious restaurant in beautiful Spilimbergo. The dining room is very welcoming. There are four of us, and we're seated at a charming table with a window overlooking the valley. The menu features local influences with gourmet touches. The frico is excellent, accompanied by the fillet of the valley's "queen" beef. The Pitina, a typical Friulian cured meat, is also very interesting. The price for two courses each, a bottle of prosecco and coffee, is €50 per person.

04/05/2025: I often went to Max and Marco and everything always went well. For me a guarantee; whether it's lunch or dinner. The environment is suggestive.

30/06/2025: Trovandoci a Polcenigo e volendo mangiare una pizza, ci siamo ricordati di questo locale in quante altre volte in passato ci eravamo trovati bene e non era male. Memori di questo ci siamo ritornati. Ordiniamo due pizze di cui una alle verdure e una bufala. Quando arrivano notiamo subito che l'impasto trabordava abbondantemente dai piatti mentre il contenuto specialmente in quella alle verdure si limitava alla parte centrale. In pratica era più pasta che contenuto. Le verdure lasciamo perdere. Solitamente si mettono verdure grigliate di stagione tipo zucchine, melanzane etc. etc.. Ci troviamo, invece, verdure tipo sottolio tra cui mais (da quando mai si mette il mais in una pizza. Il mais può andare bene per gli americani che non sanno cosa si mette in una pizza. Per loro se al posto del pomodoro si mette il Ketchap va bene lo stesso). Per la prima volta ci ritroviamo a non finire entrambi la pizza. Chiediamo cortesemente se si può mettere ciò che resta in un cartone. Di solito detta operazione per motivi pratici e igienici viene fatta in cucina dal personale e non dal cliente al tavolo. Vabbe'. Ci viene portato il contenitore richiesto (chiuso) che al cameriere cade per terra. Lo recupera e con un modo tipo "cjapa ed arrangiati" ce lo consegna. Lo apriamo e poniamo quello che rimane delle rispettive pizze. Ci rechiamo a pagare. La compagna appoggia la carta al pos per procedere al pagamento e forse perché non lo ha appoggiato nel posto giusto non avviene la transazione. La cassiera senza chiedere se poteva prendere la carta o meno la toglie repentinamente di mano alla compagna e procede al pagamento. Non sei mica una nostra parente o conoscente per fare questo. Rilascio i miei commenti sulla nostra insoddisfazione delle pizze e ce ne andiamo. Dispiace. Avevamo un bel ricordo del locale. Indubbiamente un corso accelerato di buone maniere al personale non guasterebbe. Per noi mai più.

12/08/2025: Decent menu, not a particularly nice location. The restaurant is very messy and expensive. The owner is arrogant and rude. I don't recommend it!

16/07/2025: I stopped in for a business lunch, and they have both an à la carte and a set menu with excellent dishes. The staff is very friendly, and the place is very nice and clean. Really excellent.

07/06/2025: Family atmosphere Friendly people. Service a bit slow. I chose the tasting menu (€70) which included 3 delicious starters while the main courses, a first course with cacio e pepe and a second course with octopus, did not convey any emotion to me and in my opinion lacked identity. Excellent quality of products. Perhaps too small portions. If I were to return I would not choose the tasting route, not recommended. In addition to the price of the tasting route there is the price of bread and cover charge, in my opinion a bizarre choice. There is no wine tasting route on the menu.

30/05/2025: Service? Chatting with one guest most of the time. Currently, staff are short, food is mediocre and therefore overstocked, the ambiance is a shabby cellar atmosphere, and the acoustics are poor...

16/07/2025: This restaurant is well-known online. Excellent quality food. The fixed-price menu for a first course, second course, vegetable buffet, water, and coffee is a winner. Compliments to the owners. Highly recommended. The only suggestion is to take a little more care of the internal garden, and then it would be top-notch.

04/06/2025: Lunch time: extremely dirty outside full of rubbish on the floor, inattentive staff (wrong order), chairs dragged around.

31/05/2025: A place near the station with a great atmosphere. Excellent drinks and lots of appetizers for an aperitif. The waitresses are great, especially for the speed of service.

17/08/2025: 5-star location The dishes are few, but with quality fish... The service is indescribable, considering the price... From a restaurant like this... you'd expect to find more than four first courses and four second courses of fish...

15/08/2025: Spectacular location and worth the effort for dinner. I don't feel like giving it full stars because it was an unusually hot evening, and sitting outside for half an hour in the setting sun was a disaster. "We have reserved tables," I understand, but we finally found a table inside. The food seemed good, but the experience has now been ruined. Again, I don't feel like giving it a bad rating because it deserves it.

12/08/2025: Unfortunately, I have to write this review. The place is located in a pleasant seaside area, albeit facing the road. I requested a table with more air and a view, but was denied, saying all the tables were booked, which was absolutely not true. Several tables were available. (Lies to customers who don't want to work a little more shouldn't be told.) I then requested that the pasta dish be prepared in a larger quantity. This request was not fulfilled. (Add 50 grams more pasta, it doesn't cost anything...) I would have paid even more, but evidently there was no interest in fulfilling the customer's requests. Furthermore, when the mistake of lying about the availability of tables and the request for a larger portion was pointed out, I requested a complimentary digestive to settle the matter amicably. The customer's emotional state was not taken into consideration, and payment for the digestive was requested after having served it with yet another deception of words. I paid as requested. In short, waiters who should be more attentive to customers are needed, and greater attention to requests is due, in addition to accountability for their behavior, which has not happened. Gentlemen, I feel sorry for the owner, but the staff deserves a dressing down to maintain greater customer respect. Best regards and best wishes for the future.

11/08/2025: The worst service, I've ever had in my whole life. The waiter walked away a few times without answering our questions. Food is nothing special. Fish tasted like from the freezer.

24/08/2025: We ordered pizza and wine. The pizza was very poor, and the cheese seemed to be of inferior quality, greasy and sticky.

21/08/2025: Great pizza, the crew know how to make it. Very cool online menu in different languages(Polish in this case) which helped my parents to choose. The only downside is the drinks are a bit pricey compared to the reasonable prices for pizza. Good, welcoming friendly service and location of the place.

31/08/2025: The atmosphere is informal, cheerful, and welcoming. The seafood and vegetable paella was plentiful, served hot. The sangria was also good, as was the crème brulee, spectacularly "burned" on the spot.

30/08/2025: What can I say about the paella? It's delicious, expertly cooked, one of the best I've ever tasted. The tapas are also good, and for a final smile, order the crema catalana, fantastic. Good service, and the promised cooking times are respected. Overall, well done, keep it up...

24/08/2025: Our room was Parkside. All rooms are on the ground floor and have a wooden partition at the entrance. This is called a terrace. You sit in a cage made of wooden slats, and we looked out into a hedge and the parking lot. We didn't like that!! The room was modern and clean, but very small. There was a window on the side. The bathroom was modern and huge! A concrete terrace with loungers right by the sea. Very nice!!! What was strange was that you have to place a precise order for breakfast the day before. We highly recommend the Tre Merli restaurant! Extremely good food at reasonable prices. We can't recommend the hotel. We only lasted one night in that room.

03/08/2025: Everything was very pleasant. I don't understand the negative reviews, even though we stayed in one of the four back rooms, next to the street. With the door closed, you can't hear much. The service is super attentive. Everything is super clean! The direct access to the sea is simply perfect. The bus stop is right outside. We really enjoyed it. We'll be back.
