Prices were slightly higher than elsewhere, €3 for a cover charge. Attentive and friendly staff. Too much confusion due to the lady at the counter talking loudly to the staff and customers.

07/10/2025: Let me start by saying that we try a different place in Friuli every week, but this time it was Alla Speranza, which I had included in this group of restaurants. The welcome was average, and the staff were kind enough to reserve a table. The location is beautiful, with three different dining rooms, two of which were even more beautiful than the other. The dishes, including those offered off-menu, were very well prepared, and the quality was noteworthy, except for the first course—tortelloni or similar fish-filled dishes with a mussel stew. They weren't thrilling, not because of the sauce, which was superb, but because of the colorful pasta, which tasted like nothing. Perhaps a lasagna or something else would be better. The wine from local producers was really good. On a negative note, the service seemed subpar at times; you couldn't pour other wine into the same glasses, especially in places where another type of wine had been tasted. The glasses had to be changed at all costs, and the placemats weren't exactly attractive; a standard tablecloth with stain protectors would have been a good choice in a place like this. This rating is based on our personal experience compared to other reviewed restaurants. All things considered, we'd be happy to return. The owner was very kind.

18/06/2025: I was there this morning, the brioche was very good but I was really shocked by the rudeness of the girl who replaces Cristina, I had already had the opportunity to see it and I had also heard about it. I basically went to pay and she asked me if I paid for everything, I told her yes, she gave me the bill and when I went out I checked and saw that she had added to the bill the 2 cappuccinos that 5 minutes before a friend of ours had gone to pay for himself, I went back in, I asked her if she remembered this person because I didn't want her to think I was ripping her off, she didn't even listen to me, she got angry saying that I was the one who had to tell her what we had and that she didn't know if they had paid for the cappuccinos because there were 100 of us, actually there were 7 of us! I described the gentleman to her but she talked over me! There weren't many people and she remembered all our drinks very well but not that they had paid for 2 cappuccinos 5 minutes before??? Come on! And in any case a little calm and good manners wouldn't hurt!

26/05/2025: Excelente comida. Teníamos el pollo y la tagliata de ternera, ambos muy tiernos y cocinados por expertos. El vino de la casa era un delicioso merlot. Ambiente muy relajado y acogedor. Tenemos nuestro conserje del hotel para agradecer la recomendación, ya que desde la calle parece un bar de vinos. Está a dos cuadras del lugar donde atracan los cruceros, por lo que es muy céntrico.

09/03/2025: Como recomendó el conserje en nuestro (excelente) hotel en Trieste, esto fue acogedor, buena comida, super elección de vinos por copa y buena relación calidad-precio. ¿Qué más se puede pedir? Tuvimos una comida variada y magníficamente ejecutada - el sarro de ternera y el pollo lento - cocinado eran ambos sobresalientes - y cuando el conserje del hotel y sus colegas llegaron para su almuerzo, entendimos su recomendación! No lo dudes.

23/10/2025: We got the tip from a 'parking sheriff' – and it was a good one! I'd rate my own pizza 4.5 stars, but we also had sensational pasta with tuna cubes. We got by just fine with English. I found the interior to be cool – which can be a relief in the summer, but in early October it was suboptimal. The men's restroom wasn't ideal at all – but that can be fixed!

14/10/2025: I've been at your restaurant end of September 2025 for a take-away. Some carbonara which was ... SOOOO DELICIOUS . !!! BRAVO for the people. It is the definition of the traditional restaurant which I used to see in the old films about Italy : 3 generations which keep doing what they love. Nonno, nonna, Son, and grandson. Hope I will be able to come back to Italy and visit you soon.
