30/06/2026: It was incredibly hot, we ate pizza and ran away... 40°C outside, and inside only the air conditioning set to 42°C. We only stayed because we'd booked through an app; otherwise, we would have run away. I don't recommend it in the summer.

21/06/2026: A wonderful place with a great atmosphere, delicious food, and charming service, open late. We were there with our large dog, which was no problem at all. We definitely recommend it.

10/05/2026: We had lunch outside, and the fried food was tasty and quick because we were right on time for the kitchen. Enjoy your break, and stop by. It's best to book!

15/12/2025: 5 out of 5 stars for everything! Location, setting, food, presentation, and the friendliness and kindness of the staff (a very important factor). All the dishes were excellent, their quality and presentation, and the empathy of the waiter (alas, I don't remember his name) who recommended the traditional biscuits with Marsala wine to finish our meal. This is a place where they make you feel at home, sitting at a table with friends. My husband and I will definitely return to this wonderful place.

19/07/2026: An incredibly beautiful café inside. It's said to be the oldest in Trieste. It has a very high ceiling, the bar looks fantastic and leaves nothing to be desired. The staff is incredibly friendly, the food and drinks are beautifully presented and delicious. There's a bookshop to the side of the café where you can also sit comfortably.

26/04/2026: Delicious pizza! The other dishes were good too. Good service. The decor might be a bit over the top for some, but overall it was a lovely evening. Reservations are probably recommended on weekends, as it's popular with locals.

05/06/2026: Very nice family restaurant. We were here 3 times in row in 3 days. Tried practically everything from the menu. Starters, pizza, burgers, pasta, deserts...grappa. everything was fabulous. We tried spaghetti carbonara in almost every restaurant we were in during our stay and they were definitely the best here. Service was also very good and friendly. I definitely recommend it.

11/10/2025: Recommended trattoria, with tasty and beautifully presented seafood dishes. Friendly owners. We opted for mussels with chili pepper instead of pepper, and instead of the mussels with pepper, we opted for mussels with impeperoncina (a type of mussels with pepper), followed by fish gratin and sardines in saor (sautéed sardines). The house wine by the glass is good, both still and sparkling. Prices are reasonable. Free street parking is available near the restaurant. Worth a stop for some food and wine.

04/07/2026: A beautiful historic restaurant located in a former convent, with outdoor seating on a charming alley in the medieval part of Pordenone. The dishes are simple but excellent and carefully prepared (though the portions leave a little to be desired). The staff is knowledgeable and professional; the owner, Simone, is very helpful and experienced. A place to return often!

11/07/2026: Gardenia impresses with classic Italian fish dishes, expertly prepared. Ask Marco what's not on the menu; you'll be surprised at first, and then delighted by the food. If you still have room, you should definitely try the tiramisu – it's heavenly!

20/06/2026: Disappointing experience: repetitive menu and endless waits. My husband and I had a terrible evening at the Rosenbar. We chose the tasting menu of fish cooked to the chef's whim. There was a lack of imagination: zucchini was often used in various dishes, resulting in a repetitive experience. After a good start, we were forgotten about by the arrival of a group of the chef's friends, with whom the owner's husband also sat down to eat. The highlight was the main course: an hour's wait for just two breaded sardines each, with a little radicchio and four beans. Waiting 60 minutes for such a paltry dish is unacceptable. We got up without dessert and went to the cashier. The chef apologized, saying she'd burned the sardines the first time and then forgotten about us. She gave us a ridiculous discount of only 5 euros (which we were entitled to anyway, since we didn't order dessert). He invited us back for dessert, but that won't happen. We're used to eating much better-cooked fish at restaurants in Grado or Aquileia. The tasting menu and service need a complete overhaul; we won't be returning.

03/06/2026: The food was okay; if you like large portions, this is the place for you. But the service was not okay. Very unfriendly and inattentive. I wouldn't recommend the lasagna. The ravioli was okay, but nothing more. The meat mixed grill was good. We won't be back.

We stumbled upon this charming restaurant while strolling through Grado and decided to eat there because of the wonderful atmosphere. Only afterwards did we see on Google that the reviews didn't even come close to reflecting our experience. Go and see for yourself!
