09/08/2026: The first courses were truly delicious; the gnocchi with mussels and saffron were highly recommended. The pasta with octopus ragù was also excellent, though perhaps a little too much tomato sauce. Short wait times and good service. The prices for the dishes were average, but you have to be careful about the prices of the drinks.

08/08/2026: Delicious pizza, but an unpleasant atmosphere. We went to the restaurant for pizza in the evening. The pizza arrived quickly and was tasty. Since they were the only place in all of Lignano to serve Hawaiian pizza, I naturally had to try it. The dough was delicious, but there wasn't enough pineapple for my taste. As for the atmosphere, the ambiance was nice. However, we were constantly being stared at by all the waiters who were scattered around the restaurant.

The location is definitely a bit dated, with a jumble of items hanging around. Very friendly staff, and the pizza is truly delicious! Bottom line: recommended.

12/06/2026: Lignano's Pizzeria! I did a quick search for restaurants in the area, as it was my first time in Lignano. I came across this one and had to try it right away, because the reviews speak for themselves 😌 First, the negatives: The Aperol Spritz was quite subpar, far too watery, and therefore not recommended. ❌ Now for the good stuff: The ambiance, the service, and the pizza are absolutely molto bene! ✅ Beautifully set tables, plenty of space, and sheltered from the wind, even on the terrace. ✅ After the meal, the owner himself offered us a nice bottle of Limoncello and a complimentary dessert. 14/06/2026: Attracted by the excellent reviews, four of us went for lunch. We arrived at 1:00 PM as scheduled, our order was taken at 1:25 PM (the restaurant was half empty), the appetizer arrived at 2:00 PM, and the main course arrived at 2:40 PM, by which time we'd almost lost our appetite. The quality of the fish and its presentation was average-to-low, and the bill was average-to-high (appetizer + fried fish + draft wine about €60). I didn't like the taste of the fish; it seemed reheated... but that's subjective. The biggest problem was the wait; you can't sit at the table for two hours to eat two dishes.

27/06/2026: A very cozy, atmospheric restaurant. The fish is fresh, and the entrees are also top-notch. We ordered two cold appetizers, two hot ones, and spaghetti with sea urchins. All the dishes were perfectly prepared. And the Traminer wine was very pleasant and chilled. What can I add: I highly recommend a visit—you won't regret it. 06/07/2026: I was tempted to give it 3 stars, but in the end I decided to give it 4 because we ate really well, and that remains the most important aspect for me. However, there are some details that, in my opinion, could be improved. The welcome was rather basic: a simple "hello" and little interaction. Considering that we were the only customers on the terrace when we arrived, I would have expected a little more attention. Another observation concerns the menu. Looking at the photos posted on Google in 2025, I had noticed a wider selection of first courses; today, the offerings seemed more limited, and I was initially a bit surprised. Fortunately, the waiter was very kind and helpful, accommodating our request and preparing an excellent "custom" first course for us, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The only comment about the food concerns the cold appetizer, which I found slightly underpriced for the price, especially when compared to the first courses, which were plentiful, well-prepared, and excellent value. Overall, I believe that greater attention to hospitality and customer service would make the experience even more enjoyable. Despite these observations, we were satisfied with the meal and I highly recommend this restaurant.

28/06/2026: I went for a drink outside one evening with some friends. A nice place on the main street of Trieste's nightlife. In addition to a wide selection of drinks, despite the late hour, it offers simple food like meatballs (delicious), breaded eggplant, and much more. Excellent value considering the street it's on. There are two flaws, however, the first of which, in my opinion, is significant: we weren't allowed to keep separate bills, which was highly inconvenient and questionable given the lack of advance notice. And the choice to bring a Prosecco in a glass instead of a stemmed glass, in a place that's also a restaurant, is also a poor choice. (I recommend using plastic stemware in the evening instead.) Aside from these two issues, it's a good place to spend an evening with friends.

27/09/2025: A true gem in the center of Lignano Sabbiadoro. A welcoming location, run with great professionalism by Annalisa and Mauro. The service is meticulously cared for by the entire staff. The menu satisfies even the most discerning and experienced palates, with quality and refined dishes. There's a special children's menu, as well as paper and pencils for drawing. The dishes are beautifully presented, with generous portions. The wine list is excellent. The prices are in keeping with the quality, service, and location. A rose at every table will warm your heart. We'll be back.

06/08/2026: This is not a review of the restaurant, but of the accommodation. We spent 1 night here (booked through Booking). Everything was clean and perfectly prepared. The only thing missing was a plug for the bathtub. I inadvertently stated the wrong number of people when booking, but we eventually resolved it with the accommodation by paying extra. The breakfast was rather modest, so the selection was not very rich. The breakfast price only includes one coffee – it was delicious and honestly prepared, but you have to pay extra for each additional one.

11/07/2026: Delicious food – we ordered the turbot with thinly sliced ​​potatoes (wonderful!!!), gnocchi with shrimp in pistachio sauce, pasta in zucchini sauce with crispy ham and nuts, and sopressa with melted cheese in polenta. Before our meal, we were given an appetizer in the form of sandwiches, citrus-flavored alcohol, grissini, and rolls. The service was friendly, especially the young gentleman with glasses. The waiters spoke English. Reservations are a must for Saturday, as there were several events. Greetings from the Poles 🇵🇱

20/07/2026: After an unforgettable dinner in Pordenone the night before, the next day In went for lunch and Alla Catina proved it wasn't a one-hit wonder. I ordered the Carbonara, and it was everything you hope for when eating pasta in Italy. Fresh, homemade pasta with the perfect bite, coated in a rich, silky sauce that was beautifully balanced. No unnecessary twists or gimmicks, just honest Italian cooking done exceptionally well. To go with it, I had a glass of the local Friuli Pinot Grigio, which was excellent. Fresh, crisp and the perfect pairing for the meal. Once again, the local wines did not disappoint. The staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming, making us feel at home from the moment we walked in. Service was relaxed, attentive and exactly what you hope to find in a traditional Italian restaurant. As someone who spends much of the year travelling the world on tour, I've learned that the best meals are often the simplest ones, provided they're made with great ingredients and genuine passion. Alla Catina is a perfect example of that. If you're in Pordenone and looking for authentic Italian food, put this place on your list. Fresh homemade pasta, excellent local wine, friendly people and an atmosphere that makes you want to stay for one more glass.

20/07/2026: A historic restaurant in the center of Pordenone. The pizza, unfortunately small, is well-seasoned and very easy to digest. The Nicoise salad is excellent. Some portions are truly small (the pasta dishes and the mixed grilled fish, for example), others are adequate. Overall, the food is good.

07/06/2026: We were in the park behind this magnificent restaurant, which we've known for years, where last Sunday my wife and I organized the third reunion of the Chihuahua Amore Pure group, which she created and manages. Although we were a large group of people from all over Italy, with many of our four-legged friends, everything went perfectly, and the organization of the location and lunch by the owner, Cosimo, and his team was impeccable. This is a place where the flavors of the sea and mountains are transformed into truly excellent culinary creations, and where every detail is left to chance. We frequent this restaurant on other occasions, and the pizzas are truly delicious, as are the desserts, but overall, we've always been satisfied. The park behind the restaurant is truly the ideal location for large events like the one we organized, and we recommend this place for this type of event as well. The prices are reasonable for the quality of the food, but still within the norm for a fairly refined establishment. The garden was beautiful. The dishes were carefully prepared and excellent! What can I say? Everything was perfect!
