28/01/2026: We discovered this restaurant/trattoria by chance on a motorcycle ride in the Ligurian-Emilian mountains. I can honestly say we found a special place with fantastic food. It's located on the border between Liguria (above Chiavari) and Emilia (above Borgotaro), so it's a bit out of the way for us, but we'll definitely remember it when we pass through the area.

02/03/2026: I discovered this place through a Wonderbox I was given. A very beautiful, unusual structure, considering it's an abbey. Attentive service, very kind and helpful staff. It was a wonderful discovery, we'll be happy to return. The rooms are quiet and very clean. Breakfast was delicious, with homemade tarts. Everything was wonderful... thank you 🀩🀩🀩

09/12/2025: The food is excellent, with very high quality and a refined, carefully prepared cuisine that's not overdone. There are 12-13 seats and reservations are required. I should add that it's quite difficult to book on weekends, even months in advance. It's much easier on weekdays.

14/03/2026: Five stars because six isn't enough. One of the few restaurants in Parma where it was truly an all-round pleasure. The setting is meticulously curated, the table setting elegant but not overbearing, the wait staff very efficient, discreet yet on-point and competent! The quality of the food is top-notch, as is that of the ingredients. The cheese tasting was a mystical experience, and the boiled meats were excellent. My partner ordered spalla crudo (a pork shoulder that melted in the mouth), a risotto with a superb creaminess and perfectly cooked. The friendliness and warmth of the owner, who chatted with us during dinner, her expertise, and her evident passion for her work, further enhanced the evening. I didn't pay, but I'm certain that whatever the bill was, it was money well spent!!! I hope to return soon.
13/03/2026: A Parma excellence and beyond. The food is top-notch; the ingredients are carefully sourced, crafted, and presented beautifully. The service is provided by young but highly skilled staff. The location is impeccably maintained. The guided tour of their cured meats curing facility is fantastic.

19/02/2026: I went with my partner for my birthday dinner, and it was excellent. The staff are young but very knowledgeable and make you feel at ease, unlike other Michelin-starred restaurants where the service has been too cold. We chose the six-course Ikigay menu, where Salvatore and his staff took us on a journey into the metaverse. Congratulations to everyone.

The price is fair for the quality of the food, around €50/60 per person including an appetizer, first course, dessert, and wine.
23/02/2026: Fantastic experience. The staff was incredibly courteous and welcoming, which I've noticed is the norm with all their customers. The place is beautiful and stylish, and pairs beautifully with the truly excellent food. The selection of appetizers was top-notch, and the second serving of cappellacci was truly delicious. I especially enjoyed the pumpkin ones, which were truly tasty. The price was fair for the location and the quality of the dishes. Highly recommended.

09/11/2025: We were here for lunch today at Trovatore. We organized a trip to Parma and contacted this restaurant. The menu was €30.00, including mixed cold cuts, an omelette, two first courses, water, and a sbrisolona. The portions were truly ridiculous: 5 ravioli per person and 4 small bowls of gnocchi for a table of 26 people. Dessert was served on three shared plates with a couple of bowls of mascarpone cream. Obviously, it wasn't enough for the whole table. But unfortunately, it was all gone. There wasn't any left... ridiculous... we told the owner, who pretended to apologize... but by then he'd pocketed the money and didn't even bother to offer us a coffee... disappointing. It's obvious we won't be returning, and above all, we won't speak highly of the place. I'm sorry because he lost out on a few more portions... shame.

16/03/2026: A slightly retro restaurant, but partially renovated... the owner is very kind and original. The food is truly excellent and beautifully presented. If you're in the area, don't miss it.
08/03/2026: Excellent dishes, delicious, plentiful, and beautiful to look at. My partner and I each had an appetizer, a first course, and a dessert, and yet everything was extremely light. We never felt heavy, just satiated and satisfied by the deliciousness. The staff is kind and attentive; compliments to everyone! The atmosphere is relaxing, and the soft lighting at each table creates a welcoming and private atmosphere, as if each table were its own restaurant. We hope to return and try other dishes. Thank you again for everything.

07/03/2026: Very good food, with unique and typical local dishes. The menu was limited (about thirty dishes). Some dishes were broken on the sides, but the service was very good. The waiters were polite and friendly. The atmosphere was nice, a little empty, but in a restaurant, it's the food that counts, not the location. The prices were reasonable and not excessive for the quantity and quality of the dishes. Also recommended for large groups.
10/02/2026: I was welcomed warmly and tasted typical local dishes that were well made and very tasty. If I ever have the chance to pass through the area again, I definitely know where I can stop to eat.

22/02/2026: It's been a few years since I've been to this beloved trattoria. I returned last week, and... I returned again this Sunday. My classic menu includes the delicious tagliolini with (plenty of) truffles, the tender and succulent fillet with balsamic vinegar, and the zabaglione semifreddo. This time, I opted for the signature panzerotti (few people make this ancient dish anymore), the grilled lamb chops, and the zuppa inglese. Trattoria del Sole confirms its position as a top-notch restaurant for the quality of its expertly executed dishes and the kindness of its staff. The wine cellar is also well-stocked.
02/01/2026: Returned last night, pretty much completely disappointed. Poor quality/price ratio.
