Plus, the place is nice and cool thanks to the air conditioning, which is always a plus! The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming, and they even offered us dessert at the end of the meal. Special thanks to the lady who was incredibly kind and gave us some great tips on what to see nearby. We'll definitely be back!

20/08/2026: The manager was knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. The young woman who served us was equally so. I'm never satisfied with the meat I try at most grill restaurants, but yesterday I was actually quite happy. It's a little place, almost hidden in what I think is a small town called Cimitile. And it seems true to me that the smaller the place, the bigger the heart of its inhabitants. We'll definitely be back, especially since, after learning about the owner's wedding planning at the Royal Palace of Caserta, I've been dying to check it out.

We were looking for a place to have an exceptional Sorrento cuisine experience but also needed more classics dishes for our daughters. My husband and I had fresh caught fish- white snapper with potatoes and it was incredible! They offered to make what our daughters were wanting and even those dishes were out of this world delicious! Amazing service and laid back atmosphere. Highly recommend!! The amount choices in Sorrento are overwhelming don’t miss this amazing place!

20/08/2026: Our experience from start to finish was absolutely incredible! We were picked up by a free shuttle and then invited to the balcony area for drinks. The dinner was delicious and the service was second to none. You can tell Antonio and the team are really passionate about the history of this place and we were so lucky to spend a beautiful evening together. Thanks so much!

24/08/2026: We went to this restaurant with the family. It was evening, but the view is definitely breathtaking. It has a beautiful terrace overlooking the gulf. The staff was very friendly. We had a mussel and clam soup for an appetizer. To say it was exceptional is an understatement; the tomato sauce was worth drinking 😅, truly excellent. Then we had a seafood scialatiello and gnocchi with mussels, pecorino cheese, and zucchini. Both were excellent; the gnocchi had strong, bold flavors, and the scialatiello was the best I've had in years. For the main course, a mixed grill; given the extremely high standards of the first courses, I was a bit disappointed, I must say. The homemade lemon semifreddo dessert was excellent, but the panna cotta, on the other hand, was a bit bland. The house wine was okay. The quality/price ratio was also fair. I'll definitely be back for the appetizer and first course! Recommended!

This place is nothing like the usual restaurants on the Amalfi Coast, where you often risk being ripped off by poor quality products and a lack of professionalism. Here, you pay for true quality and craftsmanship. An experience definitely worth repeating.

26/08/2026: I went here for the first time on Monday for lunch. My cousin recommended the place. What can I say, considering the quality of the food and the price, it was way too fair. In Milan I would definitely have paid double, if not triple. I'll definitely be back. Please open a restaurant in Milan too. Congratulations again.

16/06/2026: The best hotel in Positano and genuinely one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in (as a seasoned luxury traveler). Staff go out of their way to make you feel like family, and the spectacular views and whimsical, gorgeous decor give it an unparalleled sense of place. Loved being tucked from the chaos of the main Positano area while still being just a short 5-minute drive away (with the hotel's complimentary shuttle), and having access to the area's only private beach. Wouldn't hesitate to come back next time I'm on the Amalfi coast.

Here, there's no chasing trends or compromises: the dishes proudly respect tradition and showcase Naples through authentic flavors, family recipes, and carefully prepared ingredients. We ate truly delicious. The octopus was excellent, tender, and flavorful, while the pasta, no matter what the daily special, is absolutely worth ordering. For example, the potatoes and provola: excellent! You immediately sense the quality of the cuisine and the attention to detail. One detail we loved is the fact that the menu is explained verbally, like in old-fashioned trattorias. This helps create an authentic and familiar atmosphere, almost like being guests for lunch or dinner with Neapolitan friends who want to share the best of their cuisine. The chefs and staff are extraordinarily kind, attentive, and welcoming. There's a genuine passion for hospitality that's increasingly rare these days, making the experience even more special. And then there's the pastiera: simply phenomenal. Fragrant, balanced, rich in flavor, and prepared with a mastery that pays homage to one of Naples' most iconic desserts. Another great asset is the restaurant's atmosphere: quiet, relaxed, and still far from the overtourist circuits. Luckily, here you won't find the Naples built for tourists, but the authentic, warm, and affectionate one that makes you feel immediately at home. Trattoria da Ettore is the kind of place you hope to find when visiting Naples: authentic cuisine, genuine people, and a warm welcome that stays in your heart. We'll definitely be back. 26/07/2026: Excellent restaurant, with a fairly small space, near the Spanish Quarter of Naples. The menu is not fixed and varies daily, always offering three or four different dishes per course, excluding appetizers, which were not included. For this occasion, I opted for the excellent spaghetti with mussels, truly delicious and well-seasoned. Next, I chose the marinated and deboned anchovies, also truly excellent. To finish, I ordered the typical Neapolitan pastiera, which did not disappoint. A half-bottle of white wine accompanied the meal. The bill was a pleasant surprise, averaging between €30 and €40 per person. The staff were truly friendly and helpful.

16/06/2026: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 Yesterday, the two of us dined at La Preferita, hoping for a relaxed and enjoyable evening with delicious food and a lovely atmosphere. And that's exactly what we got. We received a very warm welcome upon arrival and were shown to a wonderful table with a breathtaking view of the sea and Amalfi. Right from the start, we told the staff we weren't in a hurry and wanted to enjoy the evening at our leisure. The visible relief on the team's faces immediately brought a smile to our faces – and that's precisely how the entire evening unfolded: attentive, warm, and pleasantly unhurried. From the antipasti to the primi and secondi, right through to the dolce, everything was superbly prepared and of the highest quality. Every dish was presented with meticulous attention to detail and is highly recommended. Oh yes, and we also received an excellent wine recommendation that perfectly complemented our meal. The personal interaction with the waitresses was also a real treat. Brief conversations blossomed into a warm encounter that made the evening even more special. A huge thank you to the entire La Preferita team for this thoroughly enjoyable evening. We felt very comfortable and will definitely be back. Finally, a small request to all guests: Service staff do a fantastic job every day. A little more respect, appreciation, and genuine communication would benefit many restaurant visits. Why not put your phone aside for an evening and enjoy the people, the food, and the atmosphere? La Preferita more than deserves its 5 stars.
