02/04/2026: Invited for a retirement lunch, I found this place a bit of a mess visually. The restaurant is a bit small, but they have a fabulous menu, everything is delicious. Compliments to all the staff. In the end, that's what matters. I pay attention to what they put on my plate, since I was born and raised on a farm, and I understand the difficulty in finding the financial resources to provide customers with a polished environment. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

05/03/2026: A delightful discovery. We found it by chance on Google Maps, and found excellent cuisine in a rustic setting with friendly, helpful, professional, and above all, welcoming staff. The seasonal menu features a limited number of dishes, but offers quality, refined ingredients. Excellent value, definitely worth a visit. The road to get there is scenic, but it's worth the effort. Highly recommended.

05/03/2026: First time at Crott del Meo. It's reached from Varenna via a scenic road with breathtaking views of the lake (with a few hairpin bends). The Crotto has two small, simple but well-appointed rooms. You're welcomed into an atmosphere that immediately makes you feel at home, thanks in part to the two brothers—one the chef and the other in charge of the dining room—who immediately put you at ease. The service is attentive and professional. Ivan, in the kitchen, prepares truly delicious dishes using quality ingredients (the tagliatelle with game ragù is spectacular, but the pizzoccheri are also excellent, among the best I've ever eaten). The prices are absolutely fair considering the quality. We'll definitely be back, perhaps in the spring when the warmer weather might allow us to dine al fresco. Highly recommended!

22/02/2026: We tried Shabu Lecco, motivated by excellent previous experiences at Shabu Como. Unfortunately, the experience wasn't entirely satisfying, as the place isn't as attractive (the dining room is a little too dark and cramped), and the open sushi menu includes many dishes, the best ones, for an extra fee (e.g., bao, tacos, etc.). Additionally, some dishes didn't quite satisfy us in terms of taste, such as the chicken curry and the mini poké with sweet and sour chicken and onions. Furthermore, a temaki, ordered on the first go-round, arrived much later than the other dishes and was cold to boot. The table service was friendly, but not so much at the counter. We wouldn't recommend it.

22/02/2026: I've been going to Shabu for years, and I come back whenever I'm craving sushi with an Italian twist. The home delivery service is also excellent!

26/03/2026: Ancient and historic trattoria on the road that leads from Lecco to the cable car that goes up to Piani d'Erna. Large car park, but sometimes it is full, and in any case you can easily park on the nearby streets. The cuisine is local and traditional, the food is good and the staff is friendly and helpful. The bar is also available for the elderly people of the town who come together to play cards and chat. And this is an indication of the positive social presence of the structure. In summer you can eat outdoors in the shade of centuries-old trees. For Saturdays and Sundays it is best to book.

01/04/2026: A cozy, even romantic atmosphere... A very pretty restaurant... Authentic... The staff is attentive... And the menu... mmmhhh, yum-yum, so good, it was delicious. I'll gladly go back.

20/01/2026: La Veranda dei Pescatori (Lake Como) was unbelievable. Like… this is what you picture when you think “I’m really in Italy right now.” The lake fish risotto was insane — creamy, delicate, perfectly cooked, and tasted like Lake Como on a plate. The beef carpaccio was unreal too, super clean and fresh, and the caviar just sent it over the top. Service was 10/10 — smooth, classy, never annoying, always there when you need them. And even the champagne was perfect. Everything felt effortless but high level. Food: 5 | Service: 5 | Atmosphere: 5 If you’re in Lake Como and you don’t come here, you’re doing it wrong. Only recommendation: don’t overthink it — get the risotto + carpaccio and let the night happen.

08/03/2026: Stayed local and decided to go check the local food establishment. I walked in as a solo and was greeted with smiles. The menu was easy to understand even with it in Italian and me being English. I ordered a bresaola pizza and a milanese de cortaleta. The pizza was exceptional and the veil was cooked perfectly. For €30 two courses of this quality and a beer was fantastic value. I enjoyed it so much i went back the next evening. This time I had a carbonara with local lake fish which was creamy and delicious and a different pizza this time with sausages and prosciutto. Both stunning again and this time €28. The staff were friendly and helpful. Each night someone spoke enough English and me pointing to get by. I would travel a decent way to eat here again. One of my highlights of my Italian trip
