18/10/2025: Magnificent aperitif offered with the Spritz 🍸🍹, what great service! We had pizzas 🍕 to go which were delicious. Ideal for eating them on the ferry. Plus the prices are reasonable. Definitely a place to remember

The staff is extremely friendly, and the atmosphere is relaxing, set in a charming courtyard in the heart of Albenga's historic center.

09/09/2025: I ordered an ice cream cake for a birthday. I should point out that I'm from out of the region, but they still accommodated my requests completely. The staff and owner are incredibly kind... and the home delivery is a plus. I recommend everyone stop by; you won't regret it.

04/09/2025: I went to Pietra Ligure because I'd heard rave about this creamery, and I must say I enjoyed the best gelato I've ever had in all of Liguria, and beyond. I can assure you, I have extensive experience in the industry: they use high-quality artisanal, non-industrial products. I also recommend the granita: absolutely phenomenal! The place is very clean and tidy, with an excellent selection of gelatos made daily. Speaking highly of Martina and Vittorio, the two young people who run this gelato shop with passion and kindness. I highly recommend it! A must-try.

22/10/2025: The Rikaroka hotel is much more than you expect: it is NOT the usual B&B where the rooms are the recovery of old furniture, the lights don't work, the bathroom is small and the sheets are those recovered from home...NOT HERE, EVERYTHING IS MODERN, SPACIOUS EVEN BEYOND THE NECESSARY, HOME AUTOMATION IS EVERYWHERE AND YOU FEEL LIKE YOU'RE IN A ROMANTIC 4* HOTEL. The Rikaroka is Antonio!!, excellent at welcoming and incredibly friendly. Together with his wife (tireless) and children, he manages to provide excellent service even in the restaurant on the ground floor: very good dishes, excellent pizza, and very fast but attentive service. It also has several garages to leave the cars, all within 40/50 meters of each other. We were his guests in June, and I apologize for not having reviewed it before. We will definitely return, having relatives in Albenga, as it has now become our reference hotel.

04/10/2025: The chef picks his nose while working the counter, not to mention his shoes have been dirty for months. Some corners of the place are dusty (for example, the counter supporting the chef statue). The floor is clean only in a few places. They keep cleaning products on the counter, stuck to the food, or where the coffee is made, an excellent place to avoid cross-contamination. Two waiters are awake, the others are not. It's always chaotic. A chaotic place that has a new style mixed with the old trattoria. It's a bit expensive, the dishes are generous. The gentleman who I assume is the owner is always shouting.

03/11/2025: A great find in the center of Savona, about a ten-minute walk from the dock. The ground-floor restaurant is elegant but not overly pretentious. The hostess is incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable in explaining the dishes and recommending excellent wines. The dishes are very good and beautifully presented, without too many frills to showcase the excellent ingredients used. You can tell the food is freshly prepared. We had a great time and will definitely be back. Congratulations!

23/08/2025: Last-minute dinner, luckily some customers had just cancelled. What a kind welcome. As if we were regulars, but for us it was our first experience, very kind! They pampered us with their dishes, with very fresh products that delighted the palate, playing with classic dishes with a touch of surprise. Obviously a very beautiful place, small but very elegant. Thank you, we really had a lovely evening. See you soon.

27/10/2025: Let's start with the good things: the service was acceptable, the prawns and mussels were passable, and the appetizer was too. The place is very small, but that's not the problem. Perhaps it would be bigger if the entrance wasn't cluttered with kitchen equipment: a water dispenser, a huge blast chiller right at the entrance, and a coffee machine. Okay, I guess these are choices dictated by necessity. We read the menu; nothing special. We order the seafood risotto: not paella, and certainly not 1kg of deconstructed white rice topped with mussels and prawns. And yet: that's exactly what we get. In a single paella pan for the whole table. It's announced with, "Here's the paella." Now, in gastronomy, names matter. I'm not going to go into what risotto and paella are; it doesn't matter now. Or rather, it matters a great deal, but in this context, it's decidedly superfluous. What matters is what we received: a generous 1 kg of parboiled white rice (probably with a generous amount of glutamate, i.e., a good bouillon cube), very boiled. Because it's different: well, because by boiling rice in abundant water, the starch dissolves, the rice loses body... And it doesn't form any internal creaminess. It's also certainly not creamed, not risotto-style... More details for connoisseurs, obviously. Obviously, we sent almost all of it back. "Do you want to take it home?" (They asked us twice). Me: "No, we'll ignore it." Then at a certain point, a woman from the kitchen (I assume the cook) comes out into the dining room and says to the waiters: "The kitchen is closed, I'm fed up..." (it was 1:45 PM). We, of course: message received. The waiter asks us: do you want anything else? Yes, the bill. €157. Two seafood appetizers (passable, it must be said) and a 1 kg pan of Carnaroli rice. Boiled rice. With mussels and prawns on top. Those were passable, too, it must be said. Oh well.

13/10/2025: Typical Ligurian dishes with the freshest fish. Generous portions and recipes interpreted with great care and passion. French-style outdoor seating.

11/11/2025: I attended a wedding at Spurgecacciua and it was a truly wonderful experience. The location is enchanting, right on the beach, with an elegant, welcoming atmosphere, and attention to detail. The food is high-quality and impeccably presented. Each course was a small masterpiece. The service was friendly and professional. A perfect place for special events or a romantic dinner. Highly recommended!

02/11/2025: What a lovely atmosphere! Every time I go, I can only give it 5 stars. Meat lovers, you're in the right place, but vegans are welcome too! They offer vegetarian and vegan options. The food is sublime, from appetizers, first courses, main courses, and desserts. It may seem strange, but I eat vegetables like nowhere else! I'm attaching photos of the marrow with raw meat, grilled chicken, and grilled meat.

16/10/2025: Great place to stop for a snack or lunch. The lady is really nice and friendly, and the fried food is delicious. There's a small dining area where you can sit down, or you can take out and eat on the beach. Highly recommended!

27/09/2025: We had spaghetti vongole and a mixed starter plate of cantuccio. The mixed starter plate exceeded all our expectations; every single element was perfectly combined. For example, the warm chicken with mushrooms. The carpaccio with apples was a really great idea, and the service was friendly. We look forward to our next visit.
