30/09/2025: Good food for a quick bite. Very friendly. Lots of locals until late into the evening. Right on the main street, so the ambiance is a bit off.

23/12/2025: You're hungry! Don't go! Monday lunch special, December 22, 2025: Two tiny portions of lasagna with no meat to speak of, plus one bottle of sparkling water (no coffee) = €32. Judging by the taste, we wondered if it was homemade. If you want to enjoy the view, why not, but the service was mediocre. We were disappointed.

What a disappointment to eat badly in Italy (it's rare!), but especially to feel ripped off on the menu and the quality...

29/01/2026: It might be very good at lunchtime or during peak season; it's a shame we couldn't eat there, but judging by the reviews, we were right to avoid it... At 8:20 pm, they turned away two customers because the kitchen was "closed," but they weren't happy to let us drink... For a closing time of 11 pm, that's a bit lax... They don't like to bother, so they might as well close in the evening outside of the tourist season...

21/09/2025: We were there yesterday for lunch. The pizzas were delicious and the salads were generous, made with fresh, delicious ingredients. The staff was friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The price was fair. We'll be back.

13/09/2025: I had a small aperitif before heading to dinner. The woman was very kind and set up a table for us even though they were already set up for dinner. The focaccia was good, the place was clean.

19/04/2025: Really typical Italian bar. We got 5 different starters and all of them were great. The main and the dessert did not disappoint this great start. I'll come back, you should as well. I paid for my meal and get nothing for this review!

30/03/2026: A hotel to avoid at all costs. They completely ignore their guests and are incapable of keeping up with their requests. They are dishonest and will always prioritize money. It's deplorable. Run away!

25/03/2026: Absolutely appalling customer service. The place looks really nice, we'd love to go, but due to a car accident, we can't get there. We left messages, and when we call, they hang up on us. Unprofessional behavior at all.

30/09/2025: I went to a meeting with friends in Verdeggia on a Sunday in late August. I was with a friend and we were disappointed. Not even a paper tablecloth, just two tiny placemats. For the first courses: the pasta was plentiful but with scant sauce. For the second courses: the roast was really small; two small, thin slices plus a few baked potatoes. It tasted like yesterday's roast reheated. We didn't order anything else. The bill was reasonable for the quality and the small quantity. We didn't spend much, but I'm sure I'll find a restaurant in the same area in the future where I'll leave satisfied.

04/02/2026: After much deliberation, due to the numerous bad reviews, I finally gave this place the benefit of the doubt. Indeed, the much-discussed old man is sitting proudly at the entrance, watching television. And yes, he does throw the cutlery on the table. No offense intended; he's seen it all before, and this is just his way of doing things. Inside, someone is eating just a plate of fries, another still has his coat and hat on, and yet another's dog is lying on the couch. If this isn't your style, then stay away. I, for one, feel right at home. This is an Italian restaurant as it should be. Genuine, pure, original, no frills, no fancy stuff. A waiter arrives after me, half an hour late. Another half hour later, another waiter. Half an hour later, a new person gives me a sweet snack. Meanwhile, the old man has refilled my wine. The staff are kind, friendly, and helpful. The food is delicious, fresh, simple, and affordable. The kitchen is working at top speed. This is quality, honest food, and a cozy atmosphere with real Italians. Appreciate these kinds of places; they're a dying breed. Highly recommended by Hollandstadt.
