21/07/2025: SCAM BUSINESS that will go out of their way to rip off Americans. Terrible food. The octopus was so salty that we couldn’t consume it. When we raised this issue - they brought us a piece of rock hard old focaccia pizza and tried to charge us 10 euros for the slice of old pizza. No transparency on the receipt - they will add in hidden charges. They became irate when we pointed out the scam they were pulling on us. We showed the receipt to the restaurant next door and they confirmed that we got scammed and asked if they could assist in calling the police to make a report. BEWARE OF THIS BUSINESS!!!

12/07/2025: Disappointing. The girl was very kind and did her best, considering everything was full, and she took care of it herself. The food... ugh, octopus that tasted like nothing and fell apart (I've eaten enough octopus to know that wasn't it and is a scam), squid, more of the same, potatoes that were hard and tasted like dust... 62e for everything, and no dinner, never to return.

04/05/2025: Troppo olio, troppo fritto e tropo tutto. Le trofie al pesto erano "annacquate di olio" e la pasta alle vongole non sapeva di nulla.

10/05/2025: I was rather disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. The portions served were really small and the staff lacked friendliness and warmth. The pizza was the only decent dish, but for the rest, the value for money was not there. In addition, the dishes displayed outside did not match those offered inside, and there was no menu available, which made the choice difficult. As for dessert, the only one offered was a slice of apple cake, served unevenly; the selection is very limited. The restrooms are located outside the restaurant and were not very clean. Unfortunately, I do not think I will return.

14/04/2025: Smiling and fast service but frankly the carbonara pasta for €13 is nothing and it's not very good. When we left the restaurant, we had to complete our meal with sliced ​​pizzas to satisfy our hunger. Very disappointed. Regarding the pizza it's okay but nothing more.

05/08/2025: À FUIR !! Voleurs, menteurs, bouffe deguelasse !!!! Même les pâtes ne sont pas cuites, risotto de cantine pour enfant, présentation déplorable et serveurs imbuvables !! Les plats sont jetés sur la table et la note est digne d’un grand restaurant … Tout est fait au micro-ondes et ce sont des plats préparés immondes.

05/08/2025: Le service a été pitoyable.. le serveur n’était pas sympathique, aucune adaptation possible des plats pour un enfant et aucune aide proposé à la prise de commande quand nous n’arrivons pas à traduire un mot alors que le serveur parle le français La bière commandée n’était même pas fraîche une fois arrivée à table Concernant les plats, les pâtes n’étaient pas cuites, il y avait un seul lardon dans nos deux plats de pâtes carbonara Le plat de lasagne était purement des lasagnes surgelés et le risotto, le riz était pas cuit non plus et sans parmesan Catastrophique !!!!!! Aucun goût Nous découvrons sur la note la facturation de couverts Une fois la note reçu nous exprimons notre mécontentement et nous souhaitons un geste Refus catégorique avec menace immédiate d’appeler la police Insultes en italien de la part du dirigeant en rajoutant que « c’est toujours pareil avec les français » Ne vous faites pas avoir par la jolie place, passez votre chemin !

25/07/2025: Avoid at all costs – a disgrace for Portofino The Sottocoperta pizzeria is a complete disaster from start to finish. The terrace is dirty and overrun with pigeons, making it impossible to eat in peace. The staff is incredibly rude, bordering on aggressive, and completely unprofessional. The service is slow, sloppy, and completely disrespectful to customers. And the food? Disgusting. Bland pizza, soggy crust, poor-quality ingredients… An insult to Italian cuisine. This is clearly a tourist trap with no soul or high standards. The worst restaurant of our entire stay in Portofino. Shameful. It doesn't even deserve one star, but that's the minimum to leave a review.

24/07/2025: We arrived in Portofino, saw the sign for pizza. So we thought we'd go in for a meal since we were hungry. They sat us down and forgot about us. After a while we got bored and asked for a menu. In the end, a man with a sullen face came up with a menu and threw them on the table. After 3 minutes he came up and asked what we were going to order. We didn't even have time to open the menu. As the pizza came (Prosciutto) we tried it. It was super salty, they put the meat as if they took it out of a bag and put it in one place. There's trash, napkins on the floor. Flies are flying. The tables are strange. One side seems to be at chest level and the other at head level. The prices are very overpriced for this kind of pizza. Charge 2 euros more just because the meat is uncut. The drinks are ridiculous. The price is high, the taste is terrible. Even the most common cocktails are diluted with water. The funny thing is. They charged us for the table. We paid 4 Euros for a table that barely stands.

10/07/2025: Waanzinnig slecht ! Kip was niet doorbakken. Duiven pararderen over de tafels. Uitbaatster was zichtbaar dronken. De hond gaat mee de keuken in. Verkeerde fles wijn geleverd. We zijn uiteindelijk vertrokken voor iedereen zijn hoofdgerecht had gehad en betaalden na fikse ruzie enkel wat we al gekregen hadden. Ongeziene tourist trap ! Stay away at all cost.

09/07/2025: Incredibile! Il peggior ristorante che ho incrociato nella mia vita....e sono al mondo da 67 anni. Vergogna, vergogna, vergogna. Pessimo sotto tutti i punti di vista, statene alla larga. A una mia critica la proprietaria ha risposto con un "non è possibile". Ho evitato polemiche e mi sono dato alla fuga.

20/07/2025: Siamo entrati attratti da dolci in vetrina, all’interno nessun prezzo esposto. Una zeppola con crema pagata 13 euro. Un ladrocinio. Da evitare.

17/07/2025: Il conto è stato salatissimo e decisamente fuori mercato. Non ci tornerò, nella stessa via si possono trovare tantissimi altri bar e caffetterie a prezzi "umani". Sconsiglio

09/05/2025: Nous avons choisis des pizzas, prix un peu élevé pour l’Italie , rapport qualité prix excessif eau à près de 6 euros , service 16 euros , café 2,90 euros , nous sommes pris pour des pigeons , la serveuse au moment de payer nous donnais l’impression qu’il fallait dégager au plus vite

03/05/2025: À fuir absolument ! J’ai commandé un soi-disant grand fritto misto à 27,90 € : portion minuscule, sans accompagnement ni sauce. J’ai dû ajouter une petite assiette de frites (surgelées !) pour 7 €. Le dessert, un Tiramisu banal, facturé 9,90 €. Et le pire : l’addition ! Un supplément de 15,14 € pour le service à deux (non précisé à l’avance), et un autre de 9 € dont personne n’a su nous expliquer la raison. J’ai dû demander à la serveuse de vérifier les montants. Une vraie arnaque. Rapport qualité-prix catastrophique. À éviter à tout prix !
