22/06/2025: Change of management since the previous review. We are not there .... Catalan lobster (39 €!!!!) composed mainly of vegetables and tasteless fish. Spaghetti with clams with sauce thickened with flour .... 😱. The only good dish, the dessert. They don't see me anymore. Fresh fish, high quality, commensurate price. The fried food is not up to par (I do not recommend)

11/05/2025: Posticino un po imboscato in una stradina laterale del centro storico di Mestre. Locale abbastanza grande e ottimo servizio. Abbiamo mangiato dei buonissimi cicchetti veneziani e un piatto di bigoli interessante

06/05/2025: Se le aconsejó que buscara Trattoria para probar la comida local. Estábamos en la zona y encontramos este restaurante que estaba escondido lejos de la zona principal. Tenían menú en inglés con chef y recomendaciones más populares. El aperitivo del perro de mar y la mejilla de ternera guisada. El plato de la calle 1 era un plato de muestras que era muy bueno en términos de sabor y oportunidad de saborear una variedad de aperitivos locales. La mejilla de ternera estaba muy tierna. La salsa usada era un poco pesada para los tomates, pero supongo que así les gusta a los italianos.

23/04/2025: Il ristorante si trova vicino alla zona centrale del lido, di medie dimensioni, carini gli interni, è’ specializzato in bigoli e pizza, noi abbiamo preso un bigolo alla norma è uno allo scoglio, ottimo a cottura

04/06/2025: Beautifully located restaurant/bar right on the water with a view of St. Santa Maria. We visited twice and enjoyed the view and delicious drinks. Since the bar is a bit further away from the hustle and bustle, we found comfortable seating and were able to relax. Thanks to the friendly service, the coffee and Aperol were delicious.

26/06/2025: Very cozy and romantic with its little light on the table. The food was average, but the food was just a hair away. The waiters were very friendly, although you had to ask for the bill more than once. They served very quickly. They charge a 12% service charge.

01/06/2025: Pasticceria storica, ci andavo da piccola quando ancora stava all'inizio delle Mercerie; adesso si è ingrandita, ha aumentato spazio, offerta e servizio, ma come pasticceria secondo me è rimasta ad alto livello costantemente. Gran varietà di pasticcini, col pregio di trovarli ancora a numero e non a peso come accade quasi dappertutto dalle mie parti, e molto molto gustosi e non dozzinali. Non giudico quello che può valutare il foresto che si sieda per fare pausa - ma guardiamo allora anche l'offerta media di Venezia, non è che gli altri siano simpatici economici superlativi - ma il luogo in cui entrare di passaggio a farsi un caffé elasciarsi tentare dalla vetrina dei pasticcini. Bene, il prezzo di quelle piccole meraviglie vale l'assaggio, parliamo di pasticcini ricchi e cioccolatosi a 1,70 euri, poco più di una brioche decongelata... vuoi non farci un giro dentro ogni volta che passi da lì? I piccioni? beh, sì, a Venezia ci sono i piccioni, è un dato di fatto, e ogni volta che le porte automatiche si aprono per far entrare un cliente, passano anche loro, è inevitabile... e intervenire per cacciar via un piccione, ragazzi, è un delirio... perché se prima se ne stava tranquillo a becchettare a pavimento, se inizi a scacciarlo vola da tutte le parti, il che è peggio. Venezia è così... facciamocene una ragione, e gustiamoci i suoi luoghi tradizionali! p.s. detesto i piccioni.

28/05/2025: Horrible! ¡Asqueroso! ¡Sucio! ¡Grosero! ¡Arrogante! ¡Caótico! No te dejes engañar por su céntrica ubicación. El personal es arrogante y grosero... y no se preocupa en absoluto por el servicio al cliente. Siempre estarán ocupados porque, oye, es Venecia después de todo... así que no les importa. Cocina y suelos muy sucios. Absolutamente ninguna estructura entre los empleados. Créeme... búscate un café mejor.

29/06/2025: During our recent stay in Porto Santa Margherita, my mom and I discovered what we believe to be the only restaurant in the area where you can eat really well: Riva Restaurant. We stopped for breakfast almost every morning and were thrilled. The cappuccino was always excellent, creamy and well made, while the vegan brioches were simply out of this world: light, fragrant and full of flavor. A perfect start to the day. On Friday we decided to return for lunch, and the experience was truly up to expectations, if not better. For the entrée, I chose seared octopus served with cream of peppers and caper flowers: a balanced and delicious dish, where each flavor was elegantly enhanced. For the second course, we both opted for the tuna tataki, and what can I say… IT IS EXCEPTIONAL. The tuna was of excellent quality, cooked to perfection, and accompanied by caramelized onions that were a real fairy tale, capable of enhancing every bite. A special applause goes to Luca, who looked after us with great care, advising us on both courses and making me and my mother feel truly pampered throughout the lunch. His kindness and attention made the experience even more pleasant. A heartfelt thanks to all the staff, professional, smiling and passionate, who contribute to making Riva Restaurant a place where you gladly return, and that we feel we can recommend with enthusiasm!

28/06/2025: They say that we will have to wait a bit for the first courses and that they will bring us a small appetizer to share. Anyway, there were a lot of shrimps but as a small appetizer it was fine. Except when the price of 19 euros arrived on the bill He paid more for that appetizer of 5 shrimps than for the first courses which we appreciated anyway

15/04/2025: Excellent food, top service, very nice. We had wine, water, fillet of beef (super tender), turbot with artichokes, pineapple and semifredo for dessert, espresso - we'll be back - great.

28/06/2025: Unfortunately my experience was disappointing. I ordered two pizzas and was told that the wait for the pizzas would be about 25 minutes. In the end I waited an hour and 15 minutes, without any explanation or update from the staff. I understand that there can be crowded moments, but such a long delay without any communication is not acceptable. I expected more seriousness and respect for the customer.

24/06/2025: We had a great time at this establishment, large, clean and tidy, we spent a relaxing Sunday, we didn't eat on site so I don't know... possibility of taking a shower, car parking included in the cost of the sunbed/umbrella... I recommend it

22/06/2025: We arrived with little to no expectations. 6th floor, huge roof terrace, ideally located near the beach and restaurants, yet far enough away from the hustle and bustle. We were traveling with two children and booked without breakfast.

01/06/2025: I had a deeply disappointing experience at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, nothing met even the most basic standards of hospitality. The room was dirty, with visible dust on surfaces, stains on the bedding, and a foul smell that made it hard to relax. The bathroom was in unacceptable condition — mold in the shower, broken fixtures, and towels that were either unwashed or severely worn out. The staff was unhelpful and indifferent. Any questions or requests were met with minimal effort or outright dismissal. I didn’t feel welcomed or respected as a guest at any point during my stay. Noise levels were high, both from the street and within the hotel. The walls are paper-thin, and I could hear every sound from neighboring rooms and the hallway throughout the night. Sleep was nearly impossible. The air conditioning did not work properly, and when I reported it, the hotel offered no solution. I was told to open the windows, which only added to the noise and discomfort. The location is not as advertised. While it claims to be central, it is actually quite far from the main attractions, with limited access to public transportation or decent restaurants nearby. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. It was a complete waste of money, and I left feeling frustrated and exhausted. Avoid this place if you value cleanliness, comfort, and basic customer service.
