01/07/2026: Beautiful experience!!! 😍 we had two pizzas, which even if they weren't wood-fired, were really good (gorgonzola and pear pizza was special and tasty! 😋). Peach dessert with ice cream, fabulous!!! 🫶🏻 The owner and all the staff were really kind and knowledgeable!! It was a beautiful and super romantic experience!!! 🥰 👏🏻 really well done!!!

16/06/2026: We had 2 meals from and at Charlie Ristorante. 1 - a takeaway pizza that was wonderful and delicious 2 - a sit down meal in the ristorante that was simply spectacular. We’ve been travelling through Italy for nearly a month and this place is one of the best places we’ve dined at. We highly recommended eating here.

24/06/2026: Perhaps one of the last places left in Orvieto where you can find traditional cuisine. Excellent food and equally good wines. So, ask the owner for advice and you won't go wrong.

29/07/2026: They told us to come here to experience Orvieto's traditional cuisine, and they were right! Stunning views of the city of Orvieto, super friendly and professional staff, and they welcomed us right away. We shared an appetizer of local cured meats, alternating strong and delicate flavors with a variety of pleasant textures (a solid 8). Next, we had tortelli stuffed with fava beans, local goat cheese fondue, and crispy fava beans (very delicate, you can taste every bite, 9.5). My partner, meanwhile, had a slice of beef with charcoal-cooked potatoes (the meat was rare, melt-in-the-mouth, and the potatoes were very flavorful, 10). If we ever pass through the area again in the future, we'll definitely return to Girarrosto Del Buongustaio!

02/06/2026: Disrespectful to tourists. I was alone, looking for good, authentic food, and waited over 30 minutes. The owner barely looked at me; other Italians called him over, telling him I was waiting. When he finally attended to me, even though there were two empty tables, he wouldn't let me sit down, saying he was waiting for other Italians to arrive. After waiting an hour, he said I would be seated in 30 minutes, but the restaurant closed in 15 minutes... I went to the restaurant next door, Al Pozzo, where the service was much better and the food was excellent.

10/06/2026: A lovely, quiet courtyard in the center of Orvieto. Attentive service. We had antipasti and pasta, followed by tagliata and grilled lamb, and finally panna cotta and a fantastic semifreddo. The meat was incredibly tender and cooked to perfection. Very pleasant clientele. We had a wonderful evening.

19/08/2026: We dined at this trattoria on the recommendation of a woman from Orvieto. There were three of us, and we ordered an appetizer of cured meats and cheeses and a plate of bruschetta with cherry tomatoes. In my opinion, the cured meats were supermarket-quality, and the cheeses were generally good, but the nettle ravioli weren't homemade, partly because they were all identical in shape and filling. I can't comment on the desserts because we didn't order them. Personally, I wouldn't recommend it, especially since we've eaten elsewhere and generally had a great experience. It's a shame because the place is nice, but my opinion is very objective.

28/07/2026: We came for dinner and immediately found ourselves in a beautiful setting - tables right on the picturesque square next to the cathedral. We started with a local sparkling wine that was light, refreshing, and perfect for the evening. Then came the mozzarella and tomato salad: the tomatoes and cheese themselves were incredible, and the balsamic dressing with olive oil was outstanding. We wanted to finish every last drop. The highlight was the beef braised in wine - incredibly tender, almost melting, served with roasted potatoes. Generous portions and pure, rich flavors. A special thank you to the owner, Emiliano. His service was exemplary: attentive, genuine, never intrusive, just real hospitality. It’s people like him who make a place memorable. If you’re looking for more than just a meal - a warm, delicious, and atmospheric evening in the heart of the city - don’t miss Enoteca al Duomo. Highly recommended!!

23/07/2026: Very poor cleanliness. We ordered pasta with truffles, penne with sauce (including the paint on the pan where the pasta was reheated), and pasta with porcini mushrooms and truffles. The pasta was tasteless and inedible, flies crawling on your plates, and the edges were covered in dust. Moral of the story: we paid almost €40 for nothing, and the owner even had the nerve to ask why.

I often trust my instincts, which rarely fail me, and indeed I ate a fantastic plate of tagliatelle with artichokes. If you're in the area, stop by.
