03/04/2026: An excellent restaurant, starting with the owner's kindness, who managed to find us a table for dinner even though we hadn't booked, and prepared it within the promised ten minutes. The atmosphere is warm, informal, yet elegant. The dishes we tried were extraordinary: hand-rolled tagliatelle with local truffles, slow-cooked duck breast, a tasting of local oils, and cod in oil with chickpea cream and squid ink coral. The duck breast, in particular, was breathtaking for its texture, the flavor of the meat and the sauce, and the pairing with the caramelized onion. All thanks to the expert hand of chef Hanna, who meticulously manages the cooking and the quality of the ingredients. The wine list is beautiful, with unusual choices, and an excellent selection of local whites (we're in Orvieto) and reds. It's surprising it's not mentioned by the Gambero Rosso. We'll try it again as soon as possible.

22/03/2026: We visited this restaurant on the recommendation of our tour group. The pasta was especially delicious, but all the other dishes were excellent as well. I think it was the best restaurant I've ever been to in my life. The restaurant's atmosphere was also wonderful, with warm, inviting wooden carvings. I would definitely like to visit again. 29/03/2026: The food was absolutely delicious. It was probably the best food I have had in months and I try a lot of different foods. The service was absolutely fantastic the waiters gave us water immediately and bread immediately, and they brought us our food within minutes. And finally the atmosphere. I can’t even describe how amazing it was, it was so delicious and scrumptious. I highly recommend coming here if you are in the area.

05/01/2026: We originally came to Charlie’s looking for pizza but accidentally arrived too early to get pizza. Regardless it was amazing, the vegetable soup was perfect for a cold day. My sister who has celiac, often making it difficult to find an enjoyable dining experience, was met with many options on the menu. She was even given gluten free crackers as an alternative for the bread the rest of us were given. We had many restrictions in our party aside from the celiac, including nut allergies and a vegetarian diet, all of which were accommodated to. The wine and espresso were both amazing and had great flavor. The service was excellent and our server was patient with us, providing us insight on the menu in English. This is most definitely somewhere I would recommend.

04/11/2025: We had lunch here on our last day in Orvieto. We had focaccia with prosciutto, stuffed rabbit with a side dish, and pavlova. The food was very good, the place was very nice, and the service was attentive. Everything was great.

17/10/2025: We booked with The Fork. Excellent welcome. An unsolicited entree kicked off the meal. We asked for a carbonara with a pasta substitution, and they accommodated us without further ado. However, I found the carbonara a bit disjointed, although good. But my 10/10 goes to the Argentine Angus steak with soy sauce reduction. A stroke of genius.

15/03/2026: We came across this place while traveling from Florence to Rome and planning to visit Orvieto. By chance we saw a sign, decided to check it out, and were absolutely delighted with the place. It is a very well-maintained resort. The service from all the staff was excellent, and the rooms were beautifully cared for. The entire estate is stunning, with great facilities including a gym and swimming pools, and the view is unique. We had a wonderful meal at the restaurant and tasted their own wines, which we even bought to take with us. But please be informed that kids under 12 years old are not allowed. Our stay there was an unexpected and very pleasant surprise.

07/04/2026: We went there for Easter Monday with my wife and daughter. From the moment we arrived until we left, they treated us professionally. The food was delicious. We had a mixed antipasto and a tasting of the truly delicious olive oil. We had the fettuccine with wild boar, which was delicious, and the ravioli with Cintasenese beef were also excellent. The owner was very kind and attentive to our needs. I highly recommend it. The restaurant is beautiful because you eat inside a cave, immersed in history. If I ever return to Orvieto, I'll definitely stop by to eat again.

12/03/2026: Unfortunately we did not have a good experience in this place, my wife and I arrived and the restaurant is empty, but the waiter kept insisting to place the order at least 3 times came to ask if we were ready to order, my wife's plate was salty beyond normal, regrettable she did not finish the meal.

06/03/2026: The food was incredible. The waiter was incredibly kind to my boyfriend and I, and the service was prompt and attentive. The restaurant and restrooms were clean and well-kept. When we return to Orvieto, we'll definitely stop by again 😁

Accommodation options range from private apartments to camping. The only downside is the dusty track leading to the castle. Driving slowly and keeping the car's ventilation closed is advisable... otherwise, everything will be covered in fine white dust, and your lungs will be irritated! A wonderful place for retreats, seminars, family celebrations, and weddings. The food is first-class, and the staff is very friendly and goes out of their way to ensure guest satisfaction. Accommodation options range from private apartments to camping. The only downside is the dusty road leading to the castle. If you use the guides and the tenere chiusi in the fans of the car... Altrimenti, too, are ricoperto da una sottile polvere bianca e i polmoni saranno irritati!

22/01/2026: A charming place, it feels like stepping back in time. I grew up there and it's always a thrill. As for the restaurant, the food is excellent and the rooms are very, very beautiful. It's a beautifully kept place. I highly recommend it.

10/01/2026: We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance. We ate well. Tagliatelle with black truffle was truly delicious. The Orvieto Chardonnay was excellent. The wild boar with polenta and the mixed boiled meats were equally excellent. The desserts, both the castagnaccio and the ricotta cake, were truly delicious. The price was in line with the quality of the ingredients. Definitely worth trying.

05/02/2026: A delicious trattoria! We stopped for dinner and tried several dishes, all truly delicious and plentiful (the tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms is highly recommended, truly excellent). The service was super friendly, there was no wait, and the prices were very reasonable. A wonderful experience, we'll definitely be back!
