05/01/2025: Qualità del cibo molto buona, ma purtroppo i piatti non vengono spiegati bene e arrivano diversi da come descritti nel menù. Ho preso una pappa al pomodoro con mozzarella e basilico come antipasto, è arrivata una pappa al pomodoro con mozzarella e menta, l'ho mangiata ma per me che non amo la menta se lo avessi saputo non l'avrei presa. Ho ordinato un hamburger della casa con patate, così era riportato nel menù, non mi aspettavo che mi arrivasse un panino con hamburger, insalata, cipolla, formaggio,pancetta e hamburger. Nel menù era riportato solo hamburger e patete e così me lo aspettavo nel piatto. Nel dolce panettone fichi e noci con fonduta di cioccolato è arrivato il panettone fichi cosparso di zucchero a velo e al lato un cucchiaino di mousse al cioccolato.Il sapore dei piatti è ottimo ma farei più attenzione nella descrizione sul menù o fare le dovute precisazioni delle modifiche al momento dell' ordine. 24/01/2025: The signature orso pasta, named after the store, is a tomato-based pasta that will not be liked or disliked. They also sell truffle pasta, so if it’s on the menu del giorno-tartufo (today’s menu), be sure to try it! Steaks are also perfectly cooked! It's recommended. Even if you order wine by the glass, it comes out as orvieto superior :)

12/01/2025: On a cold and windy night in Orvieto, we came across a pleasant discovery: the Trattoria dell'Orso, a welcoming refuge where the warmth of hospitality and the authentic flavors of Umbrian tradition made the evening unforgettable. Personal The staff were friendly, kind and very welcoming, creating a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere for the whole experience. Location The environment is a bit retro and dated, but still very characteristic and in line with the charm of a traditional trattoria. Dishes • First courses: The umbrichelli with wild boar and truffle and the fettuccine with mushrooms and truffle were excellent. The pasta was well cooked, the portions adequate and the sauce generous, also allowing the pleasure of the shoe. There is great attention to the quality of the ingredients. • Second: The duck breast in red wine reduction and caramelized onions was cooked to perfection. The texture of the duck was soft and well balanced by the seasoning. • Side: The potatoes were a real surprise: simply "spacey". We also recommend tasting the aromatic herbs (sage and rosemary), which add a "wow" touch to the dish. • Sweets: Here the experience was less exciting. Most of the desserts were finished, and the pistachio semifreddo turned out to be rather anonymous, a shame because dessert is important to end a meal well. I count We ordered 2 first courses, 1 second course, 1 side dish, 2 desserts and 3 glasses of wine, for a total of 80 euros. Although the price is fair for the quality of the dishes and the overall experience, if it had been 10 euros less, it would have been really great. Overall, slightly high. Conclusion Despite the unmemorable sweet ending and a somewhat high bill, Trattoria dell'Orso offers a culinary experience that we highly recommend. Thanks to the quality of the cuisine and the hospitality of the staff, it is an excellent choice for those seeking the authentic flavors of Umbria.

13/02/2025: Place found by chance. Exquisite platter of cold cuts and cheeses, spectacular homemade desserts, very high quality wine. And two hosts who pampered and spoiled us, making us feel welcomed. Definitely worth visiting if you are in the area

04/01/2025: A simple place that makes the quality of the dishes and the kindness of the staff its strong points. Exceptional pappardelle with wild boar ragù, very tender and very tasty meat. Potatoes cooked under the ashes are a gem! Excellent prices too! The staff were friendly, kind and super helpful: they made you feel at home. Absolutely worth coming back.

05/01/2025: In the medieval center of beautiful Orvieto, near Piazza della Reppública, you will find this modern bistro. Elegant atmosphere and sophisticated decoration, with taste. Very well set tables. Quality and certain luxury. Very friendly staff, very professional, attentive, discreet. Short menu but with elaborate dishes, well presented. Good cuisine. Tasty food. Great wine list. Cold beer. Very interesting, innovative desserts. A good place to eat. Highly recommended. Prices in line with what has been described so far, but not exorbitant. We will return without hesitation.

02/01/2025: We went during lunch on January 1st without a reservation and they seated us without problems, even finding us a comfortable table since we showed up with a small child with a stroller. They provided us with a high chair and even heated up the baby's food without any problem. The menu is full of quality products and above all well cooked. During lunch there was also a musician who entertained guests with relaxing music. Definitely recommended

19/12/2024: Authentic, well-cooked dishes. The presentation of the plates was pretty, (a small tomato in the shape of a flower), we had help from the friendly owner for our choice of dishes, her husband was in the kitchen. Thank you, we have fond memories of this dinner.

27/12/2024: Mandatory stop during our travels from north to south and vice versa. Typical environment not very large. Excellent sandwiches with porchetta and sow ham. The only negative note for me are the prices of the sandwiches and drinks...a little too high.

08/12/2024: We were guests in this wonderful place from 17 to 24 August. When we arrived, Mrs. Sara and all her staff welcomed us warmly and made us feel at home straight away. The place is very quiet, surrounded by lavender bushes and olive groves, where for those who live in Milan like us, they can get away from the usual frenetic pace. There is no shortage of very abundant sweet and savory breakfasts, with homemade products, from delicious donuts, to jams, to brioches. Everyone was very hospitable, from the gardener to the lady who was waiting for us for breakfast and even the chef who presented us with the menu with his special dishes every evening. 10/11/2024: Splendid farmhouse, very well cared for interiors, in the middle of the woods near Orvieto. Wonderful estate with olive trees, vineyards and endless plants maintained and managed in a healthy way with attention to detail. Peace and serenity fill the air. Highly recommended for families with children although the outdoor play area could do with some sprucing up (perhaps now, mid-November it is being abandoned a bit). The restaurant is good with 0 km dishes also cooked with local products.

06/02/2025: Small but nice place. The owner is very kind, accommodating and very available to customer requests. The food is really good, and the portions are plentiful. A really nice discovery in the heart of the wonderful Orvieto.

29/01/2025: You know when people say completely unoriginal things about the life-changing meal they had in Italy blahblahblah, yeah well this is the place and the carbonara is the meal. You may want to fast for a month before you order it because it is bigger than you. Honestly. It's enormous and so good. I'm crying now. As you're sitting in this little cave of a restaurant you can see a tiny lady through the kitchen window making it in the back. The Chef. Sometimes she comes out to chat with the server while she's supposed to be cooking, and this is fine, it's all part of the recipe. The service is lovely too btw. The lighting is flourescent and unflattering but you're not here to look good, you're here to have your life changed. And change comes through the carbonara. Amen.

18/02/2025: Last night we went to eat in this pizzeria, we ate very well, a wonderful welcome, the owners are special people with a big heart, I want to say that the pizza dough has risen well, light dough and high quality toppings, I recommend everyone to stop and eat in this special pizzeria. 01/01/2025: The Church of Sant'Andrea is one of the oldest and most fascinating religious monuments in Orvieto, located in the heart of the historic center, next to the splendid Piazza della Repubblica ⛪️✨. Its thousand-year history, the particular architectural characteristics and the numerous events that have taken place there make it an essential stop for anyone visiting the city. The origins of the church date back to the 6th century, built on top of an ancient Etruscan temple and a Roman domus 🏺🏛️. In the following centuries, it underwent several reconstructions, the most important of which took place in the 12th century, when the Romanesque building that we can admire today was built. A unique detail is the twelve-sided bell tower, built with local stone, which stands majestically and distinctively compared to other churches in the area 🔔🪨. The interior of the church is simple and evocative, with a single nave and round arches that recall the Romanesque style. Medieval frescoes are preserved, including scenes from the Life of Christ and depictions of saints, which, despite time, maintain an extraordinary expressive intensity 🎨🙏. An interesting anecdote concerns the role of the church during the Middle Ages: it was a place of significant political and religious importance. 03/02/2025: Suggestive restaurant with tables set and immersed in the tuff. Welcoming, young and kind staff. Excellent Chianina appetizers with cherry tomatoes and cherry tomatoes. As a second course we tasted the baked suckling pig (house specialty) which was excellent to say the least, while the grilled one did not stand up to the comparison with the suckling pig. To drink we got a good Montefalco red. Average prices. Advised.

10/02/2025: Really excellent Neapolitan pizza. Well cooked pizza in a wood oven, quality ingredients, wide choice and normal service times. Even the environment is reminiscent of that of the pizzerias of Naples, therefore a more than recommended experience!!! Absolutely worth a try if you are in the area.

06/01/2025: Pretty good pizza, but I recommend you take an outdoor seat because it's really too hot inside since, inside, it's on a mezzanine with the oven underneath!! And I also went there in the middle of winter. Furthermore, when we asked for a seat outside he didn't like to arrange it, exclaiming "but there are the ladies' bags". After someone pays, courtesy is needed!
