07/01/2026: The restaurant features 1970s-style furnishings, yet is reasonably comfortable. The food quality is average: I personally enjoyed the pizza more than the grilled meat, while other diners enjoyed the lamb and arrosticini.
04/01/2026: A very mediocre place. Chose it by chance for a New Year's Eve dinner, since there was nothing available. But the quality is on par with trucker restaurants, the kind with 9-euro menus.

07/12/2025: I went to this place today with some friends, and we had a great time. The place is quaint and clean. The products are excellent. Recommended.
07/12/2025: Overall, we had a good time, with a few "buts": the cheese platter was just fresh cheeses served with jam, but no explanation was given. For desserts, there were only two on the menu and one off. The tiramisu balls with Nutella were a bit disappointing in flavor, only redeemed by dipping them in Nutella. The first courses were very good.

12/10/2025: We celebrated a very special 50th birthday, lots of excellent quality food, plenty of space for the children to run around, a truly special moment.
12/10/2025: This isn't the first time I've attended a party at Frigus bar. A graduation party first, and a fiftieth birthday party later... Always a guaranteed success! There's plenty of space inside and out, even for those with children, and excellent food, from appetizers to first courses, all the way to pizza and vegetables. The entire staff is helpful and friendly. Highly recommended!

23/09/2025: A random choice that turned out to be excellent: a welcoming atmosphere, excellent and clean rooms with all the amenities, and very welcoming staff. Excellent breakfast; we didn't have lunch or dinner. Definitely choose it.

04/01/2026: A wonderful experience! The owner explained the quality of the products he would use to prepare the dishes and even recommended an excellent wine (truly among the best in Italy)!
I had a mouth-watering chickpea and chestnut soup; it was quite cold that evening, so it was a real treat for this, too.
We finished with a truly delicious local amaro.
We'll definitely be back! Highly recommended!!!

04/10/2025: Generous portions, and the presentation was pretty good. But if I'm being honest, and I hope it makes sense, the flavor didn't strike me as particularly refined. The mushroom and truffle cream used in the tortellini lacked the right balance and had some solid particles that I couldn't quite figure out. The fried octopus with saffron sauce, also very generous, was undercooked. I can't give it a 5-star rating, as I expected, sorry.

28/11/2025: Visited during the Easter period. The hotel is beautiful, a little dated, but it fits the style of the area. The food was really good, and the service was excellent, from the restaurant to the front desk. The rooms had everything you need, but they were very basic but very comfortable. The cleanliness was good. The location was perfect, halfway between the town center and the village of Assisi, easily accessible on foot. I highly recommend it, especially for the attention to detail in managing this hotel. The price was fair. Special thanks to Gianna and Alessandro, two wonderful people.

27/11/2025: This was the most delicious restaurant I ate at during my trip to Italy. The risotto was simple yet delicious, and the scaloppine al pepe verde was impressive.
23/11/2025: Located in the center of Assisi, a few steps from the Matteotti parking lot, this restaurant is quite large with plenty of seating.
Extensive and tasty menu, from appetizers to dessert, including pizza and pinsa with a variety of flavors.
Very good food, generous portions, and average, yet reasonably priced.
Friendly staff, good service.

23/11/2025: We stayed one night as a group, 4 adults and 3 children in 3 rooms. The rooms were very well heated on a night when it snowed, comfortable, and well-organized. The breakfast was generous and high-quality. The dinner was delicious, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The owner even provided us with complimentary wine. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to experience Umbria to the fullest.

I had an excellent experience at this hotel! The rooms are very clean, spacious and well maintained. The staff NUCCIA, MICHELE are extremely kind and always willing to help, which made the stay much more enjoyable. The breakfast was varied and tasty, and the location is perfect - close to everything you need. I highly recommend and I will definitely come back!

09/06/2025: Un posto accogliente, menù ben spiegato e chiaro e prodotti buoni…ci sono stata a pranzo con la mia famiglia, dopo la visita a Santa Maria degli Angeli, ed è stata una buona scelta. Raggiungerlo è molto semplice in quanto molto Vicino alla Basilica, ci si può arrivare a piedi in pochissimo tempo e anche in macchina perché ci sono dei parcheggi

04/04/2025: Chosen without any prior knowledge, on instinct, this lovely osteria, just steps from the Church of San Pietro in Assisi, turned out to be a very pleasant gastronomic surprise.
Truffle strangozzi followed by grilled lamb are substantial dishes, and although challenging, they were easily digested without hesitation, thanks to the addition of a white Grechetto, which I know is easy to drink.
The service was friendly, courteous, and efficient. The price was fair; what more can I say? We'll definitely be back.
09/02/2025: The place is a bit old-fashioned but has its charm, the waitress is very kind and friendly and the aubergines, baked potatoes, strangozzi with truffle and maltagliati with leek and white ragù were simply superb!
