15/02/2026: Preparing food isn't the same as catering, otherwise we'd all be eating at home. The tender cut saves the day, but I'd say there are many areas that need improvement. The truffle fettuccine, for example, was ruined by poor-quality pasta (dry egg pasta is now available even in the worst supermarkets). Prices are average, but the offerings, in my opinion, aren't up to par.

28/11/2025: Visited during the Easter period. The hotel is beautiful, a little dated, but it fits the style of the area. The food was really good, and the service was excellent, from the restaurant to the front desk. The rooms had everything you need, but they were very basic but very comfortable. The cleanliness was good. The location was perfect, halfway between the town center and the village of Assisi, easily accessible on foot. I highly recommend it, especially for the attention to detail in managing this hotel. The price was fair. Special thanks to Gianna and Alessandro, two wonderful people.

And then the fried foods, besides the excellent portions, not at all greasy, there are so many things you don't find in other mixed fried foods, like fried sage, fried avocado. Excellent, fresh products, with so many different ideas every day, the pizza by the slice with fava beans, pecorino cheese, and crispy pancetta is amazing! The lady is wonderful, helpful, and always knows how to put you at ease. I really love her madly!

12/02/2026: For me, who would eat pizza every day and have tried every type in many Italian cities and regions, this is the best pizza al taglio in Perugia. The dough is thick and crispy, the ingredients are high-quality, and above all, the chef's imagination creates fabulous flavors that even look gourmet... For me, it's an experience every time I try a new flavor, but even the classic pizzas are exceptional! The owner loves her job and knows what she's doing ❤️

05/04/2026: We spent five days in Assisi, Spoleto, Foligno, and Perugia, and on two of those days we also went to this Hosteria near where we were staying. It's near Foligno, and this experience was unique: Food) Excellent, we had dinner both days. First, we had Carbonara and second, pasta with Chianina ragù. Being from the north, we mostly eat meat ragù with sausage, etc. Service) The waiter and owner are very friendly but also serious, with few people if you come on the right days. Ambience) Very nice, with plenty of tables and music of all kinds. The restaurant overall is very large and beautiful, with reasonable wait times, which can be long for some. If you're in a hurry, you can ask for something to snack on (fries, potato croquettes, etc.), and they'll bring it right away. P.S.: When you park, there won't be a parking lot, so you'll have to park on the street next to the "Restaurant/Tennis Club" Rating: 4.5 approved 🍫

I received a booking confirmation by email... only to be contacted via WhatsApp and told they made a mistake when I cancelled! I find neither "La Tavola dei Cavalieri" nor Smartbox to be professional at all. Terrible service and disorganization!

04/01/2026: This agriturismo is nestled in an enchanting setting, nestled in the peaceful woods, ideal for those seeking tranquility and nature. It should be noted, however, that access is via a rather rough dirt road, which should be taken into consideration. The property, in terms of rooms and common areas, is average. The staff is very committed, and the young waiter deserves special mention for his excellent availability. Despite this, the overall service requires significant organizational improvement: for example, dishes sometimes arrive before drinks, or guests have to repeatedly ask for essentials (bread, grated cheese, etc.). Breakfast was completely inadequate in terms of the variety and availability of the buffet. Dinner was also a sore point, with prices high for the portions offered and the level of service. This is a place with great potential, which unfortunately is not yet fully realized.

15/01/2026: A hotel near Spoleto, conveniently located if you have a car. The rooms are very different; I've attached photos of the one we stayed in. Besides the bare, poorly lit, and graffiti-filled feel of a train station underpass, we also found the room quite dirty. The pillowcase of one of the two pillows had a hole in the center, in a clearly visible spot, and one of the towels had a black shoeprint (I've attached a photo), something you wouldn't want to put in a guest room if you saw it, and if you didn't, you're just distracted. The multicolored carpet on the floor was covered in stains and scuffs, and if it had been a solid color, it might have looked dirtier than it actually was. Furthermore, the room didn't have an adjustable temperature, and I felt a bit chilly (it was early January). The bathroom was okay. For what we paid, we made do, especially since we organized this trip at the last minute, but you can definitely find better. The breakfast was varied and enjoyable, with a wide selection of sweet and savory options, and there were machines for juices and coffee/tea/hot chocolate, etc. So, all things considered, the location and price were the reasons I chose this hotel, and they lived up to their promises, but the room and bathroom could be greatly improved. I recommend it only to those who are content.

07/04/2026: We went for Easter and were truly satisfied. The cuisine was superb: carefully prepared dishes, and you can really taste the quality of the ingredients. From the soft egg with Parmesan fondue and truffle to the lamb coratina. The risotto with asparagus, saffron, and stracciatella was also excellent, creamy and balanced, and the tagliatelle with goose ragù was truly flavorful. Special mention for the lamb cooked three ways (baked, fried, and cacciatore style): a standout dish, beautifully done. The staff were friendly and helpful, always available, perfect for this type of establishment. The location is very well-kept, elegant yet relaxed, the kind of place where you immediately feel at ease. A place where you eat truly well, we would gladly return.

01/04/2026: The food wasn't bad (though it was a bit bland), but the service was terrible. When they brought us the menus, they didn't tell us that an appetizer was out of stock... they only let us know when we were ordering the different dishes. When the starters arrived, we didn't have any silverware; we had to ask for it. The knife wasn't clean. One of the two starters was the wrong one. The POS hadn't worked all day, and we discovered it when we got the bill... luckily we had cash.

16/02/2026: It's a gluten-free café, bakery, grocery store, and pastry shop. They offer a wide selection and truly delicious products. The staff is very friendly, helpful, and professional. You can eat on-site, and the adjacent parking is convenient.

20/12/2025: Fantastic experience, just off the E45 Gluten-free pastry shop and bakery, a dream for us celiacs... The staff were all friendly, the price was reasonable, truly a dream! A must-see pit stop for those coming or going along the E45.

29/11/2025: We visited this pizzeria and had a really good time. The staff was incredibly friendly from the start, always smiling and very helpful. The pizza was really good; you could tell they use fresh ingredients and take care of what they do. The bill was also more than fair, which is always appreciated. The place is modern, well-kept, and pleasant to be in. Overall, a great experience: we'll definitely be back.
