14/04/2026: The cheese starter was perhaps a little sparse but good, and the chicken cutlet for the second course. The service was also good.

11/05/2026: Honorable mention goes to the risotto. Amazing. The rest of the dinner was pretty average by comparison. Considering the elegance of the room with its beautiful round tables, it was a shame to dine at a tiny square table with one side propped up against a divider, which didn't even allow for freedom of movement.

08/05/2026: Disappointing experience, an hour and a half wait for a carpaccio and two slices of bread with anchovies. Staff unprepared for requests for vegetables or side dishes. The quality of the dishes served was appreciated, but the service needs improvement.

24/04/2026: Anyone visiting Pistoia should definitely go to La Cantinetta. Everything is perfect: a beautifully curated food and wine list, a cozy atmosphere, and, most importantly, impeccable service. The friendliness and expertise are second to none. The same goes for the food: the risotto was perfect, the filetta di manzo outstanding, and the pizza was also very good. We ate there three times, and it was always incredibly delicious. The value for money is excellent. Many thanks to the staff who made this possible and gave us three wonderful evenings!

01/09/2025: Great selection of pizzas at very reasonable prices! And exquisite homemade mille-feuille! The welcome and service were excellent... just one small drawback: the Italians, especially the Tuscans, tend to speak very loudly (though their accent is quite pleasant). Luckily, it's quieter when they're eating!

06/01/2026: We stayed three nights at Camping Il Pinguino in our campervan to visit the slopes of Abetone and Val di Luce. The owner, Umberto, is incredibly thoughtful and kind. He made himself available even before our departure. He provided us with detailed instructions on how to get to the campsite and even met us, alerting the nearby pizzeria of our late arrival. The restrooms are spotless, the showers are hot, and the bathroom is heated. It's a quiet place and perfectly located for reaching the slopes by car. It's located 800 meters from a hotel/restaurant/bar/grocery store where we had breakfast, a packed lunch, and a very decent dinner. The restaurant/pizzeria on the road above the campsite also offers a satisfying dinner with excellent service and good wine at very reasonable prices. In short, we couldn't have asked for more.

21/04/2026: A lot of good will on the part of the staff (I assume they are volunteers) creates a definitely family atmosphere, but the electric oven certainly doesn't help in creating high quality pizzas.

07/05/2026: Everything was very positive, from the atmosphere to the service and food. In the summer, there are also covered outdoor tables. Parking is available either along the street or in a small adjacent lot.

07/05/2026: Nothing special. The Margherita pizza was edible, the Ascoli olives and fried onions were 4 or 5 pieces of the frozen ones they sell at the supermarket (€4). The desserts were also store-bought and the portions were small, especially the torta della nonna.

12/01/2026: The best of the best. Food as a sensory gratification of all the senses: visual, gustatory, olfactory. Quality at its highest level. If you can think of something to eat, they definitely have it, but be careful, they have better than you might think, the best. GO THERE NOW and you won't be able to do without it. Remember, Lunardi is a style of eating, not just any shop.

16/01/2026: A relaxing weekend, although we found the indoor pool colder than other times. Breakfast was always top-notch, the rooms were clean this time, and our neighbors were noisy late at night, but that's due to the rudeness of the guests.

12/01/2026: Unfortunately, this hotel isn't up to its 4-star rating. At reception, the staff had to consult the manager to learn that a nine-year-old child, if accompanied by his or her parents, doesn't need identification: a waste of time that immediately created discontent. Upon arriving in our room, which initially appeared spacious and clean, we later discovered that the bathroom floor was covered in stains, which had never been removed and had already been reported by other guests, as confirmed by several previous reviews. It's shameful to sell a room in these conditions, and this speaks volumes about a management clearly "on the cheap," despite the advertised 4-star rating. Breakfast consists of low-quality supermarket products: packaged cakes and pies, definitely not up to the standard of a hotel of this caliber (and I repeat, we're talking 4 stars). The location is certainly very convenient for getting around, but everything else is paid for: the spa and pool are excluded from the price, when in many similar hotels they are included. In conclusion, I don't recommend it, especially considering the price paid.

23/05/2026: Excellent trattoria where you can breathe the air of home: excellent hand-rolled pasta.. Chicken fried vegetables really excellent... In the mushroom season... Very good both sautéed and fried etc. In autumn game... For me everything very good, fair price, a homely atmosphere!

11/03/2026: A great lunch break at this trattoria, which offers a set menu of typical local dishes. With (homemade) kitchens in full view 😜. The orange tart 🍊 is delicious.
