What can I say about Franco and Anna, two unique and beautiful people who immediately make you feel at ease and super helpful!!!!! 24/01/2026: I don't question the high quality of the pastry shop, but it's way, way too expensive. Today, I had a snack with friends: we each had tea and two pancakes. The tea was cold. If I'd wanted iced tea, I would have had Estatè. 😂 I asked the waitress to bring it back piping hot, but she made it cold again. I gave up at that point. The serving was equivalent to a glass, plus it was exorbitantly priced. A friend ordered a prosecco, which, besides being of terrible quality, wasn't even brought a small snack. The waiters were young and nice, but the owner was "sulky." A course in empathy is needed, especially when dealing with the public. People pay and need a few more smiles. Believe me!

17/01/2026: It's a large place with a good pastry shop, food, and a variety of beers, including spritzes in the evening, which are called "merenda" here. It's located on Via Fiorentina outside Pistoia.

25/02/2026: Back for the second time: exceptional, excellent value. The ragù pasta dishes are sublime, with truly large portions and tons of sauce. The "Grande Antipasto Toscano" is another choice worth making. Unfortunately, the fried mushrooms weren't available; they're not so tasty this year, so I'll say no again. BTW, I don't recommend the lamb because it was a bit tough. The desserts are good, mostly because they have a wide selection. The Mille Foie gras is unorthodox, the tiramisu is average, but the ladyfingers are too soggy. It's still worth coming here. Update two years later: Prices have risen, portions have shrunk (the appetizers are skimpy), and the execution of the dishes is, I'd say, inadequate. The gnudi are truly... not very popular in my opinion.

16/12/2025: Terrible food, rude owner, and rude, but friendly waitress. She was a tall, blonde lady. We were a group, and the organizer had made a reservation, so I didn't know if she'd ordered for my dog. The waitress brought a tray of a burger and told me it was for the dog. He clearly appreciated it, and as he was finishing, this lady came over and rudely told me that if I hadn't ordered it, I shouldn't have ordered it, and she left. So I approached her and explained that I couldn't have known, and anyway, it wasn't a problem because she would have been paid. Now, making such a fool of herself over a burger when she could have definitely resolved the matter more politely. Anyway, my dog ​​was happy, we were a little less so. I honestly didn't like the lasagna. But that's okay, everyone has their own tastes, and the lady's rudeness wasn't.

28/01/2026: First problem, the waitress recommended a wine, saying it was excellent (26 euros)... but it was a table wine, little more than a tavernello.... the other thing we didn't like at all!!! was the "Bistecca" (steak). They were shown a raw steak 8/9 cm thick, but another steak arrived at the table already cut and full of sinew.... and then why a steak without a fillet? Then it shouldn't be called "bistecca" on the menu, but "costata" (rib eye), and the price can't be the same.....!!! Furthermore, for the service and the food we were served, the price is extremely excessive.

15/01/2026: Business lunch: top-notch "Sorani" beans, top-notch ricotta fritters. Kudos to Carla, who pampers her customers. A must-try for anyone in the area.

31/12/2025: The place may be nice, but I won't set foot there again! I went for an aperitif with a friend. A tray with eight mini slices of prosciutto (it was probably the last one and the slices were small), dried out and so full of pepper it was inedible, four dark, mediocre crostini, and two fingers of wine... they had the nerve to charge us 32 euros!! What a rip-off! Some places deserve to be left deserted.

18/11/2025: A great experience in one of the few places outside the bustling Piazza della Sala. A bar by day, a bistro by night, serving delicious, carefully prepared dishes using quality ingredients. Excellent wine selection. Welcoming atmosphere and very friendly staff.

13/10/2025: This location is highly recommended. Yes, it's not a 5-star hotel, but from this location, all of Tuscany and more are within easy reach. Everything you need for a stay is provided and more than adequate. The hospitality, however, is 5+ stars. The staff is extremely helpful, and the food is truly fantastic. Driving up the mountain takes some getting used to if you're not used to Italian cuisine ;) We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely return on our next visit to Italy.

02/01/2026: Family pizza at a fair price. We dined outside on the heated patio; it was peaceful and warm. The service was fast and punctual. The pizza is very thin and crispy, light, perhaps not light enough for some. My son would have eaten two!

01/01/2026: All in all, the pizza was good, but the service was shameful. The girl served us two fruit juices. We opened both, and one of them was no longer vacuum-sealed, because the cap didn't resist opening it at all. I asked the girl at the counter if they had opened it, and she said no. I pointed this out, and the young lady replied, "I heard the noise from here...", referring to the typical noise made when opening a bottle with an airtight cap. Implying who knows what... Naturally, the noise was from the other juice, which also happened to be the wrong flavor. These people should learn to stand behind the counter, because being in front of a public place isn't really their thing. Rude and arrogant
