26/03/2026: An excellent restaurant that takes you back to the authenticity of times gone by. Its simplicity is highly refined. The atmosphere is small and incredibly welcoming, the staff professional, helpful, and incredibly kind; everything makes you feel right at home. The appetizer and main course selection is truly varied and well-thought out. The goose breast and truffle gnocchi are highly recommended. Everything is truly delicious. The house wine is good and pairs well with dinner. Generous portions.
14/03/2026: Beautiful restaurant, very authentic, very good food, friendly waiter. I really like how they tell you the dishes aloud (obviously they also have a paper menu for those who want it).

09/01/2026: I spent a very pleasant New Year's Eve with some friends. Even though we arrived late, we were warmly welcomed. The food was high-quality, and the portions were plentiful. After dinner, there was a DJ playing music. We had a great time and will definitely be back. Kudos to the entire staff!

12/10/2025: Truly delicious gelato, enjoyed while strolling through this charming village on a warm Sunday in late October. The blueberry flavor is one of the best I've ever tried. The mango is very good, and the surprise is the black cherry, a fiordilatte gelato with black cherries and their juice poured on the spot. The sales assistant is kind and smiling.

07/09/2025: Wow! Just WOW! We stayed here for 5 nights for a part of our 5 week honeymoon in Europe. This was genuinely a highlight of our trip so far. The room was clean, and as advertised. Everyone there was so kind and attentive. We hope we get to come back one day soon. Having travelled all the way from Australia we were so grateful to find a peaceful hideaway where we could get to other spots for day trips either via our hire car, or public transport not far away. Thank you again!
18/07/2025: I have one rule: I never return to the same place. This rule no longer applies. I've been there twice already, and I'd gladly go back, and more than once. A fabulous place, rest, regeneration, and a recharge unlike any other place I've been. A wonderful place with fantastic and welcoming owners. The pool is large, sometimes you're alone, the breakfast is delicious, and the restaurant serves delicious dinners. The view is breathtaking, and the space is so relaxing. I'll definitely be back again, and I already miss it.

02/11/2025: I stayed at the Porta Franca refuge for lunch and dinner, staying in a shared room! What can I say? A wonderful experience, made even more so by the generous and kind welcome we received from the CAI volunteers! They were attentive and thoughtful, and I must say, very friendly! Honorable mention goes to Mrs. Cinzia and the other chef (forgive me, I don't remember her name) who delighted us with delicious dishes! Thanks also to our contact Alessandro, especially for the strudel he gave me for the return trip! Thank you so much!
07/10/2025: A lovely place to stop for a bite to eat or grab something to eat directly at the refuge. The food is spectacular and delicious.

30/12/2025: Comfortable atmosphere, very fast table service, good pizza and excellent beer, clean restrooms. What can I say! Definitely worth trying again!!!
22/10/2025: Our first experience during the Covid period was recommended by friends, offering takeout. Since then, we've tried several dishes: baked fish with potatoes, salt-baked fish, cockerel al mattone, and a special (Livorno-style cod) that can be ordered the day before. All dishes are expertly prepared with expertise and skill. Excellent value for money.
