28/08/2025: I booked this restaurant through The Fork and received immediate confirmation. The restaurant tried to contact me today to confirm, but I was on the ferry back to Livorno and couldn't get through. As soon as I disembarked, I received an email from the restaurant saying they had cancelled my reservation. Their explanation was that they were fully booked and needed confirmation to know whether or not to free up the table—of course, because I would have received the 50% discount, and they would certainly prefer to give my table to someone paying a full bill, so they jumped at the chance to cancel my table. Finally, when I called for clarification, the person on the other end hung up on me: utterly rude and unprofessional.

06/09/2025: Nothing to complain about the quality of either the dishes or the ambiance. Both are excellent. Some of the prices are completely out of place: a €5 cover charge, which I consider excessive for what you get, €25 for some starters just for the addition of three shrimp... but the €7 (seven!!) price for a 750cl bottle of water is truly absurd. It's a shame for them, because it makes you want to come back when you feel like you're being treated like a chicken waiting to be plucked.

22/08/2025: The best man (a Neapolitan) in Livorno and his wife run the kitchen. Very good pizza and a fresh salad, along with two Limoncello Spritzes with a very well-intentioned shot. Maestro also gave us a little history of the city. Mille Gracie!!!

22/08/2025: Very, very nice host and good food! The ambiance could be improved, but everything else is top-notch. We had a Limoncello Spritz to drink, which was both refreshing and strong. You get a lot for your money here! We paid only €30 for drinks, pizza, and salad. Since the host is from Naples and we'll be there in two days, he was also able to give us some great tips. We found it very pleasant and authentic! ☺️

20/08/2025: OGLIERA RESTAURANT 😊 We didn't stay at the hotel, so this review is limited to the restaurant, where we dined twice as external guests. ATMOSPHERE: In summer, you dine on a lovely, airy terrace, cool thanks to the breeze that channels between Monte Capanne and the sea—definitely the coolest location we've found in the area. The view is partly of the sea and partly of the beautiful mountains beyond. The overall atmosphere is relaxing and pleasant. SERVICE: We have no complaints and haven't encountered any of the poor service or inconveniences mentioned in other reviews. The staff we interacted with were friendly, punctual, and professional. A special mention goes to the wine; the markup is the most honest we've found in the area, which is nice; we always order the same bottles from Elba, and the difference between one place and another is sometimes notable. In some cases, the markup is unjustifiable and doesn't look good. They're definitely honest here. CUISINE: Traditional Elban dishes, delicious, each with its own distinct character, and satisfying portions. Among the dishes we sampled, we highlight the signature dish, "Spaghetti all'Ogliera" (Spaghetti with Ogliera Sauce), tasty and flavorful, it has a well-deserved reputation and is a must-try if you like full-bodied flavors; "Spaghetti with Sea Urchin Eggs" (Spaghetti with Sea Urchin Eggs), all the flavor of the sea but well-balanced; "Gnocchi alla Margherita" (Gnocchi with Spider Crab and vegetables), a delicate dish that perhaps needs a little more character. The "Calamari ripieni all'Elbana" (Stuffed Calamari Elba Style) is excellent and highly recommended; I won't deny that we came here specifically to eat them! 😁 The fresh house desserts are the usual tiramisu, crema catalana, panna cotta, etc., offered in basic versions and, given the slightly more refined overall appearance, seem like a somewhat neglected part of the menu. Prices are fair for the local cuisine on offer, in terms of quality and quantity. Reservations are recommended and if you want to eat stuffed calamari, make sure there are some available in advance.

16/08/2025: We had dinner at this restaurant recommended by a friend. The location was very pretty and beautifully lit. We ordered both fish and meat dishes. The service was very slow, and the fish dishes weren't fresh or tasty... in fact, we just tasted them and left them; the wait staff didn't even ask why. We won't be back, and I don't recommend it. I'm sorry. 😣

28/08/2025: I was with some friends, and we all raved about the dishes they served. I had FABULOUS spaghetti with clams, and a pistachio dessert that was equally delicious. We'll be back from Pisa.

18/08/2025: The burger for €25 was an absolute disgrace: a half-raw patty, a tomato, and ketchup and mayo for a sandwich. I had to wait an hour for the food and was then disappointed. The food was generally served with very little love. The staff were nice, but the service was terrible. I'll never eat there again, even if the view is beautiful. It's absolutely not worth the money!

16/08/2025: Based on the reviews, our expectations weren't very high, but we were pleasantly surprised. The lunch menu is smaller than the dinner menu, but equally varied in flavor. We ordered mostly fresh, delicate fish. The fish gnocchi and mixed fried fish were the group's favorite dishes.

25/07/2025: Worst food in Italy. Ordered 2 carbonara but got fried eggs with overcooked pasta as far from a carbonara as you can get. The service is okay friendly staff but the food is beyond criticism

06/09/2025: The seafood risotto is guaranteed to be delicious. I've eaten such good risotto in very few places. It must have been a quiet evening, but it was truly delicious. The seafood rice (for one person) is already saying a lot (I don't like restaurants that force you to order two portions!!? What if I don't like rice!?) It was truly delicious and flavorful. And generous portions. Congratulations. I definitely have to try it. I'll be back.

31/08/2025: We only used the restaurant, and we ate well. The mussels Taranto-style were spectacular. If you order them as an appetizer, wait until the main course 😋. The staff were kind and attentive. We had a great time. But there are also two negatives: 1) The inability to bring your dog. 2) The excessive noise, which could be solved with a well-designed system of sound-absorbing panels. In any case, I would gladly return.

Thank you, wonderful food, wine syncopated like a piece by Monk, Thelonious, but in the end it's the people who count and sometimes they sing with their hearts and you can hear it, thank you from the bottom of my heart
