26/09/2025: Two words: fig risotto. Three words: just eat it. I’ll be dreaming of that risotto for years. Main course was fish of the day with veg. Fresh and simple as fish should be. Anita was a dream as a server and patient with my poor Italian. But we got the job done to eat one of the best meals we had in San Vincenzo.

26/09/2025: Wonderful dinner! Anita was fantastic! Order the fig risotto and the fish of the day. Delicious!!!

19/04/2026: A pleasant discovery. The menu features both meat and seafood, with limited but good quality choices. The staff are very friendly, and the prices are more than fair. I'll be back.

22/05/2026: After enjoying a never-failing sunset in Sant'Andrea, we stopped at the Sottomarina restaurant and were not disappointed... two appetizers, including truly delicious stuffed mussels, excellent seafood carbonara and grouper-filled ravioli, and finally tiramisu and panna cotta. We'll be back to Nevia and Giancarlo.

14/03/2026: I’ve been here in Livorno a couple days and this is by far the best tasting food in this city. Pizzaria Della Venezia, Grazie, thank you for your delicious food and your chefs did amazing!

28/02/2026: Good pizza and quick service. The only flaw? The waitress, talking to her colleague, called us "briae Mezze," thinking we wouldn't notice when it was just a simple joke between friends.

07/04/2026: It's nothing special, several dishes like the mixed antipasto and mussels marinara tasted like nothing, the battered vegetables are to be avoided, the fried food is edible but not exceptional, their crema catalana is a panna cotta.

07/01/2026: My girlfriend and I had dinner a few nights ago ❤ (I really hope she's my girlfriend because I don't want to have drunk too much these days and gotten my hopes up 🤣🤣🤣) and we were immediately greeted by the owner, Mauro, who waited for her to sit down to grab her right ankle and put some electrical cable ties on her shoe. I thought it was some unusual welcome ritual for the place and didn't give it much thought until a suspicious-looking guy, Massimo, emerged from the kitchen, clearly in a state of confusion. Throughout the dinner, he railed against an employee, boasting that he'd just locked her in the closet despite her pleas for release. 🤣🤣🤣... But the best part was when she, Martina, the house chef, joined us, telling us stories of pans catching fire and of workers mesmerized by the flames, standing there contemplating the place at risk of going up in flames without lifting a finger. In short, a dangerous "dreg" to avoid unless you want to laugh and feel at home, where the food is divine, with tastings of exquisite dishes and generous portions, where the bill is barely more expensive than an aperitif, and above all, a magical place, where I had such a great time and had never before felt so at ease among such extraordinarily simple yet welcoming people. To Mauro and his better half, mostly quiet but always alert and attentive to the needs of the customers, to Massimo and Martina, friends I hope to hug again soon, and to all the staff, I say heartfelt thanks for the wonderful evening. 20/05/2026: Everything there is very run-down and dilapidated, but still quaint, with two foosball tables in the back room, and the staff is very friendly.

05/04/2026: Terrible experience at Easter 2025. Mediocre and poor food. Supermarket dessert passed off as artisanal. Exorbitantly priced. A real rip-off... Never again.

17/04/2026: Fish of the day and three incredible desserts. Compliments, divine, and so was the house white wine...

05/04/2026: A wonderful restaurant straddling two bends in the Livorno canals. We tried the abundant and fragrant fried fish and the Cacciucco, a superb cacciucco soup, hearty and made with fish from days gone by (but incredibly fresh and fragrant). The house Vermentino is delicious and low in sulfites, and there's a nice selection of unusual wines. The bread is homemade, as is the fresh pasta (we'll be back), and the desserts and creams are made to order, as are the crocheted fabrics and embroidered fabrics. Bravo!

02/05/2026: Terrible!! I ordered spaghetti with seafood, which had nothing to do with seafood. The spaghetti arrived raw, with a few pieces of squid and two mussels. I asked why they hadn't included other fish and shells typical of this recipe, and I was told that the clams had been chopped inside because people don't like getting their hands dirty removing shells and shells!! To be fair, I must say that at least the dishes were removed from the bill by the manager! In any case, I don't recommend it.

11/09/2025: A wonderful hotel. Lovingly run with incredibly friendly and accommodating staff, even in the off-season. We stayed 8 days with half board and thoroughly enjoyed it. Located directly on the sea, this is very rare on Elba. We highly recommend the hotel and would like to thank the staff for this wonderful stay.

03/09/2025: Beautiful location, excellent rooms for 2 people, but a little small for 3. Visit the sea opposite the islands of Montecristo and Pianosa.

08/06/2026: Reservations aren't easy. This restaurant only serves seafood, so if you don't like it, don't bother. Refined dishes, many featuring raw fish. Highly priced. A must-see location.
