20/06/2025: Consigliato da amici, da parecchio tempo volevo provare questa pizzeria. Il posto è semplice, ma carino, anche se purtroppo in questo periodo è penalizzato dai lavori stradali della tramvia. Il personale è gentile e veloce. Le pizze sono superlative, sicuramente tra le migliori di Firenze. Abbiamo preso tre pizze gourmet, tutte buonissime. Impasto leggero, spessore della base e del cornicione giusto, cottura ottima e condimenti di primissima qualità, con profumi buonissimi. Ritorneremo di sicuro.

16/06/2025: Esperienza non molto positiva a Don Fefè di San Donato a Firenze. Il 4 giugno ho organizzato la cena di classe di mio figlio. Eravamo 52 e ci hanno fatto giro pizza + acqua e 1 bibita a 25€ a persona, indistintamente fra adulti e ragazzi/bambini. La pizza non era male. Abbiamo avuto da discutere soprattutto con una cameriera con le meches bionde, perchè alcuni bambini bevevano solo acqua e noi abbiamo chiesto di portare a noi genitori la bibita che non hanno preso i ragazzi e convertirla in birra o spritz. In 2 siamo riusciti ad ottenere questa cosa, il terzo no, perchè secondo loro il numero delle bibite prese dai ragazzi non giustificava una birra in più... 25€×52 e anche se fosse stato non vi ci rientrava di portarci una birra in più? In media non è arrivata una pizza a testa, perchè alcuni erano soddisfatti con 2/3 pezzi di pizza.. e non ci rientrava una birra in più? Esperienza da non rifare! Alla cassa ci avevano detto che non c'erano problemi, ma la cameriera evidentemente aveva più potere e alla fine non siamo venuti via contenti.

27/06/2025: I'm sorry, but I can't find an adjective to describe this restaurant, we can't improvise... very high prices with poor quality food! Let's forget about the service... I felt like I was on a joke!! Spaghetti with clams and 2 meatballs stuffed with squid and 2 sea bream with a lettuce leaf and a couple of slices of tomato...I don't dare describe the sea bass/sea bream fillets...covered in pepper...let's forget about it... I hope you are aware of what you offer to customers... Then...on a Monday night with three tables in total...I can't even find the excuse of chaos...of the weekend...

21/06/2025: I really liked it. We ate at a shaded table just steps from the shoreline. Maybe I wouldn't call it a restaurant, because it's more of a well-organized beach bar with good food. The service guys are very busy and friendly and punctual. Too bad they don't do dinner too. It closes after sunset.

23/04/2025: It is reprehensible that people like those highlighted in the image are invited to a public event, as if it were not enough by offering free entry to women. Inform and warn any woman to stay away from this event.

22/04/2025: Crowded on Saturday evenings or on school holidays. Long queues to bring the kids and pick them up. Queue at the cloakroom. Safe enough place for them.

02/07/2025: Rude and unreliable: first they say that the sheep to be brought can be taken after dinner. Then after dinner, they say that one must wait until the end of the evening.

30/03/2025: It's a club with a beautiful theater. The staff is very kind and helpful.

14/07/2025: Bar Michelangelo is a classic in Pietrasanta; I drank my first cocktails there at least 40 years ago! But yesterday was a huge disappointment: the gin and tonic was poorly served, with no accompaniment (a couple of crisps or peanuts are always nice when you're sipping an alcoholic beverage), and the waiters are nonexistent and seem to be bothered if you call them. Next time, I'll go elsewhere.

29/06/2025: We have a climatic one even in the main square of the city. In the heat you can set up, relax and drink, for example, a cold coffee. Good but small portion. Service nice

07/06/2025: Full disclaimer, we had our wedding there and it was perfect. The place is beautiful, the ground staff is great. The problem is the the manager Matteo, he’s very sketchy and not to be trusted. It’s a nice venue, but there are many nice venues in the region. So I would suggest you to stay away. They would go out of their way to lie and take your money. Things to look out for if you already booked with them: 1. Do not order room service, or champagne, or any kind of food or beverage to the rooms, they will charge you “service fee” of €20 per person. We ordered a bottle of champagne for 6 people. And ON TOP of the cost of the bottle (€200) they charged us €120 for this “fee”. You can just go to the restaurant, order it and bring it to your room by yourself . Or eat/drink at the restaurant. 2. They will make up fake items just to charge you. For example, they charged us €600 additionally to hire some chairs for the wedding ceremony even though they used the same chairs from dinner just repurposed them. Watch out for this make sure you don’t pay them more than what you should. As they will lie about giving you a refund but then would ignore your calls and emails to avoid paying. 3. They have many rigid rules, and do not allow any external caterers. Only there in house catering team. Therefore they are monopoly on price and will be a lot more expensive with very limited menu/offering. ——— Update in Feb 2025: I’ve been informed that Matteo has been fired from Villa Mangiacane, which is a very good decision of the owner/management. Hopefully the new manager is decent to do justice for such beautiful and magical venue.

10/08/2025: So my opinion differs. I find the food a little too salty. I admit that I felt more like I was eating salt with the lasagna than salty lasagna, but the meal wasn't horrible either. The wait staff was okay, it varied depending on the server. There was one who was very cheerful (the one with slightly darker skin, that's not a criticism, it's just so you know which one I'm talking about), very pleasant, etc. Overall, the wait staff didn't seem mean, but I think they lacked a smile, perhaps, but I'm not spitting venom in the soup either. I think some of the comments are abusive, or maybe they changed their wait staff for better people. I honestly don't know, and I don't want to know. The wait staff we had were okay, and I think it just lacked a serious atmosphere.

13/06/2025: Of a unique rudeness, the girl is grumpy like few others. I did not see professionalism and respect for the customer, as someone who goes to the bar from time to time I am sorry. I ordered with the other gentleman saying what I wanted, a coffee and a small bottle of water, while the gentleman was preparing the coffee, the girl comes over and asks me what it is? I thought she was referring to the payment method, not what I had taken and I specified the payment method used. She in a very annoyed response, almost taking me for an idiot, says to me: "if you talk to my colleague I can't know things, calm down" I must say that I was calm, I had just misunderstood, in all this despite the attitude, I maintain a formal profile specifying what I had taken. Well it was not enough, I was mocked by the girl in question with the other colleague labeling me as spoiled or crazy. So I ask myself, can you do a job if you are so frustrated and grumpy? If I as a customer have respect for the work of others, I expect the same. I came back but the situation hasn't improved at all, on the contrary. I ask for a lemonade and kindly ask for it to be put in a glass, spoiler at first glance it was clear that the lemonade wouldn't fit in a small glass, even though I pointed it out to the bartender, he kindly thought it best to fill it to the brim and then tell me I think it won't fit but it's okay you can manage. Furthermore, as if that wasn't enough, with the glass filled to the brim he tells me maybe there's no ice. And then I ask myself, are you making fun of your customers, because I see a lack of attention and indeed a laziness in the work that is out of the ordinary

03/06/2025: Had an aperitif with my wife. They don't know how to make aperitifs. It's a shame because the view is very beautiful. We had a spritz and a non-alcoholic drink, both rated 1, then a crodino that didn't taste like crodino and a virgin mohito made twice. First without sugar, second with a little sugar and lemon. Not lime. Rating 0. So if you don't have the raw material or don't know how to make cocktails, well it's better to avoid it. On the other hand, it cost 33 euros. I totally don't recommend it

29/05/2025: Wonderful place overlooking Siena, we had a simple aperitif and they brought us a small taste to taste very welcome, normal price, aperitifs with cutting board are also available at the price of €20 Kind and welcoming staff
