05/08/2025: Top! Consigliatissimo ; ) Ottima cucina e servizio. Dopo un trekking in una splendida terra, abbiamo trovato questo rifugio e mangiato molto bene.

31/07/2025: Ci siamo fermati al rifugio solo per pranzo in un giorno infrasettimanale. Abbiamo trovato cortesia da parte del gestori. Il servizio è giovane, informale a volte distratto. Buoni i piatti assaggiati proposti in quantità abbondante (valutate prima di ordinare di dividere i piatti per due persone perché sono abbondanti) e di buona qualità. Buono anche il rapporto qualità/prezzo.

09/11/2025: Located right in the heart of Siena, this restaurant is a real gem for anyone who loves Tuscan cuisine. The food is fresh, simple, yet full of flavor – from the homemade pasta to perfectly grilled meat. The staff is extremely friendly and creates a warm, family-like atmosphere. Prices are fair considering the quality and location. A warm recommendation for anyone who wants to taste the real flavor of Tuscany!

18/10/2025: There was only one other table occupied when we went in on a Friday evening. However the menu and venue looked attractive. We were not disappointed. The gentleman who I presume was the owner was helpful and had no trouble communicating with us although we know only a few words of Italian. Some quiet jazz music added to the atmosphere. The bruschetta starter was tasty and ample to share. We both enjoyed our main courses. Value was good. A pleasant evening and felt less touristy than some of the restaurants on the main road. Would recommend.

09/09/2025: I love it here, I have visited Pisa a few times now and the food here is just unbelievable amazing, the owner is just super nice. You will be seeing me this year some time again

28/11/2025: Excellent trattoria. Traditional dishes, especially fish, are very good and well-prepared. Excellent seafood appetizer and one of the best fried foods I've ever eaten. Friendly, kind, and helpful staff. A family-friendly atmosphere. Family-friendly. Located in the historic center, paid parking is a stone's throw away. The only downside is that the pizzeria isn't open for lunch.

28/10/2025: Pizza was great. Zuppa de Pesce was very good. Orata was also delicious. Better to eat salad somewhere else ;)

21/09/2025: I enjoyed the pizza 🍕. Everything was fresh and delicious, but the dough was too crispy for me. I prefer the Naples style. I had two glasses of red wine with it, which was also okay. The staff was super friendly and attentive 👍😊

30/08/2025: We actually came here because of the view, but there are actually better options in town. From the table, it was difficult to see the landscape. The courtyard is surrounded by relatively high walls. The food was very tasty. The fish dishes were also very impressive. The service could have been a bit more energetic; we had to constantly ask for our attention when we wanted to order something.

27/08/2025: We ended up here by accident. We fell in love with this charming Tuscan town on our way to Siena. While strolling, we spotted a wonderful local restaurant with a very extensive menu. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful, with a beautiful view from the terrace. All the dishes we ordered were fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. We didn't wait long for our food. The service was very friendly. You can pay by card. There are plenty of free parking spaces nearby. The small town is perfect for an evening stroll.

31/07/2025: Locale accogliente e tipico delle colline toscane, vista mozzafiato, si gustano prodotti locali specie a base di carne e buon vino, i primi piatti sono ottimi come gli antipasti. Il personale molto gentile e veloce nel servizio. Che dire è un locale da consigliare anche per il buon rapporto qualità prezzo.

28/06/2025: Da un ristorante ci si aspetta rispetto, rispetto per il cibo, rispetto per la clientela e rispetto per il contesto. Dovrebbe essere tutto correlato, e la mancanza di rispetto per uno di questi tre aspetti, si porta automaticamente dietro la mancanza di rispetto anche per gli altri. Siete in un luogo magnifico, a ridosso di un bosco ricco di biodiversità, tra le colline toscane incontaminate. Ci si aspetterebbe un servizio adeguato al luogo in cui avete la fortuna di essere. Sparare musica (per altro orrenda) a decibel decisamente sopra i livelli consentiti, disturbando, danneggiando e involgarendo il territorio non vi fa onore. Mi auguro chiudiate presto e che il luogo torni silenzioso e rispettoso della natura. Un ex cliente che vi stimava quando stavate in paese e si sbagliava.

13/09/2025: Wonderful little place! On our way back from a trip to the area, we decided to extend our stay and stop here for dinner. It was a delightful experience with very hospitable service. They had fresh porcini mushrooms picked that day and brought us a truly generous tagliatelle, which we devoured! It's a shame the tray wasn't edible, otherwise we would have eaten that too. 27/09/2025: If I could give this restaurant 0 stars I would! We visited Trattoria Da Vasco on Monday 22 Sept 25, for dinner, based on a recommendation. Whilst my spaghetti carbonara was OK (not great), the spinach and ricotta ravioli my partner ordered was inedible. It arrived floating in a bowl of what appeared to be pasta water, with no sauce and tasted horrible. We sent it back and asked very nicely if we could please order something else as my partner had only had a mouthful. He tried the spaghetti Bolognese but again, it was terrible. The pasta had not been drained properly and again there was water at the bottom of the bowel. The sauce was barely discernible and the most prominent taste was dish washing liquid. Again, my partner could not eat this and had barely a mouthful. Now very hungry we decided to pay for what we could eat and drink. I went inside to explain this and pay. The manager /owner immediately started shouting at me aggressively in Italian, which unfortunately I do not speak. He was extremely intimidating and stood very close to me. He would not let the waitress translate for me, even though her English was good enough. He immediately threatened to call the police and would not stop shouting for one moment. I ended up in tears in the restaurant. At this point my partner who was sitting outside heard the noise and stepped in to protect me, just in time for the police to arrive. The police had to physically hold the manager back, still shouting at us both. I paid the bill (and entirely unwarranted €44!) just to get out of there. It was an awful meal and a worse experience. I suggest avoiding this 'restaurant' at all costs. The police were lovely and listened patiently to what happened. Of course they agreed with us as customers and had a stern talking to the manager/owner. I have travelled extensively, and been to Italy many times, and have never been treated so badly.

26/09/2025: A family-run trattoria, when you enter Vasco, you feel like part of the family. Typical Lucca dishes, truly well-made and generous portions. This is our second time here, and we'll continue to do so. I highly recommend this place.

22/10/2025: I went there with some friends for dinner. The service wasn't the best. But I have to say the food was good. We only had pizzas, so I can only review those. A tip for the Pizzaiolo: the less he burns them, the better. It's not a place for very young people, given that there are several families with children.

28/09/2025: We were there one evening in September and ate the pizza, which was rubbery and undercooked, which was a shame because it was good. The staff was kind and courteous.

04/10/2025: We came on a Saturday evening and there were no people in the restaurant. We decided to eat there anyway because of the good Google reviews! Well, what a disappointment... We understood why the restaurant was empty... Not very generous, a pizza with few toppings, a lukewarm and not very filling pasta dish. We had to ask for chili oil, then Parmesan, only to end up with Gruyère. We gave up on asking for bread, but instead asked for a carafe of tap water, which we were charged €2.50... The service is a bit lacking... The dish was not very generous for the bill, however... €38 for 2 Cokes, 2 main courses, and you'll have to pay €4 for cutlery and €2.50 for tap water... We don't recommend it!

07/11/2025: An excellent restaurant where you can enjoy delicious, tender, and flavorful meat. The service is fast and professional, and the staff is very polite and attentive to their customers. The atmosphere is spacious and clean, and the TVs are everywhere, allowing you to easily watch sports.

01/11/2025: The pizza was almost raw underneath and the crust was well cooked.

31/10/2025: A bar along the road between the hamlets of La Pieve and Viottolo, before Scandicci. Friendly staff, good coffee.
