12/07/2025: We hadn't booked a table, so we had to wait - and that's okay. They estimated 10-15 minutes, but it was 30. After 45 minutes we got the menu. Read other reviews on Google and decided to leave the place before they took our order. High prices and poor service compared to other places in the immediate vicinity. But one thing was good - and that was the chairs 🪑But they run a restaurant and not a furniture store. Stay away!

08/06/2025: The music doesn't fit the ambiance! You should coordinate with the neighboring restaurant, otherwise it'll be a terrible mess and chaos for your ears!

15/06/2025: Informal location surrounded by greenery. What distinguishes this "restaurant" is the friendliness and conviviality of the owners and staff upon our arrival and the high quality of the food offered expertly prepared and presented. The quality of the dishes can be seen by the touch of the palate, from the aperitif with bruschetta with herbs and locally produced oil combined with a flavored white wine. A heavenly seafood appetizer, two shared first courses, one from land and one from sea, and a second course from sea. Delicate flavors combined with an Elban Vermentino. The Elban dessert "torta briaca" expertly prepared, combined with an Elban Aleatico sealed the end of the meal. The dinner was enlivened by a quality and delicate Jazz duo that accompanied the degustibus. An experience to try if you are a guest on Elba. And .... the icing on the cake, a fabulous location for the sunset over the sea....

05/05/2025: Ormai tappa obbligatoria quando in moto andiamo al Passo del Vestito. gestione genuina e il cuoco addetto alla griglia è fantastico e trasmette simpatia. Del cibo non dico nulla se non che si mangia veramente BENE e genuino !!! Bravi continuate così, non cambiate.

03/05/2025: I had dinner with my husband, we had a great time, we ate very well, cooked in the local way, simple but refined cuisine, generous portions, staff who were not very kind and helpful, we entered as members and left as friends

30/06/2025: Delicious pizzas eaten with a crispy thin base. Friendly service, but the pace was slow. Location and the view from the outside terrace make up for everything. It is recommended and would definitely book in advance to be sure of a spot.

30/04/2025: Nous sommes arrivés et l’aspect extérieur nous a dissuadé de nous y aventurer.Grossière erreur! Après réflexion nous sommes rentrés.Les plats ne sont pas cher et de bonnes qualité, le service est sympathique vous pouvez même acheter des vins bio!

11/07/2025: June 26, 8:35 PM, door closed, and people inside chatting. No one's stopping you from closing at 8:00 PM, but change the time on the door. Back a second time for gelato. Average gelato, friendly service, but they could be more attentive and clean the tables after customers leave.

19/06/2025: I do not recommend it for groups of more than 4 people. Spartan environment, average pizza (cheap). Disarming service, 2 hours before we were all served (group of 14 people) even though we were the only ones in the restaurant. I'm sorry but it does not reach sufficiency, I would return only if I knew we were 2/3 people and we did not want to spend more than €10 for a pizza and a water.

23/07/2025: Podríamos tener reserva, así que la primera noche no podía almorzar allí. La reserva de la segunda noche fue bien. El servicio lento, 2 personas de servicio, cansado, desconcertado. No conseguir la comida que pedimos, pero otra sopa. No vino blanco, sino tinto (enviado de vuelta) , el ajo se quemó en una pasta simple. El costo no vale la pena, lamentamos haber ido allí. Otra rebanada simple sabría en otro lugar. ¡Muy decepcionado!

15/07/2025: It was a pleasure dining here with my husband and in-laws. The food is excellent and unconventional, despite serving traditional Tuscan fare. The wine and beer list offers a great selection, and the atmosphere is truly welcoming. Dining at Merlo gives you the assurance of good, well-selected food and excellent service. Thank you for the wonderful experience!

05/08/2025: They saved my life tonight! Fried anchovies with friggitelli peppers worthy of a super coppa and anchovy bread fit for the rich! Great, cheap, and friendly!

05/08/2025: A young, vibrant restaurant with impeccable, informal service—just how we like it! Tasty tapas. Andrea (the waiter) recommended what to eat and drink. Highly recommended!

01/07/2025: Parked opposite to eat something here, but we had problems paying the parking ticket and therefore asked for help inside.. We were answered very bluntly, "I don't know myself, you have to put change in there" so we asked if we could change some money, to which they replied "we are not a bank here, go behind there, there is a bank.." Understandably, we did not go and eat here after getting our ticket..

27/06/2025: I was at the train station and asked to local for the best spot around there for a pizza and some other local food: they suggested this one, but it was a very disappointing experience. The pizza was tasteless and very weird. I can't understand how's possibile. Aso the service is really "meh". Lame.

29/06/2025: The food is good, the place is very nice, the tiramisu is amazing

14/06/2025: Historic restaurant and pizzeria in Bagni di Lucca, run with passion by Ilario and his staff. It offers a menu of meat, fish and mushrooms from the area. The fillet with black truffle from the surrounding hills is excellent. Good value for money. In the evening, the wood-fired oven serves excellent pizzas to eat on site or take away. The wine list is interesting.

26/06/2025: Review is about the dinner - didn’t stay at the B&B. First of all it’s CASH ONLY. Just a fyi. Basically they will serve you various courses for about 40€ a head. All the food was clearly fresh and excellently prepared. We had various appetizers, 4 different pastas, 3 different meats and two different desserts

22/06/2025: I’ve been coming here since I was a small child and have fond memories of Mimmis! Returning after 15 years was a joy. A classic trattoria with no menu. They do cater for vegetarians but the vegetarian dishes weren’t as strong as the rest of the dishes. The service was warm and friendly and the decor is stunning!
