28/08/2025: I returned after a long time with my 7-year-old daughter. I already knew it, one of the very few open on this late August morning in the heart of the city center! No small feat...what can I say? My little girl couldn't stop complimenting her delicious sandwich, which she promptly finished! The quality of the meat, sourced from a local butcher, is always excellent. The owner is always kind and helpful, and the prices are more than fair! There should be many more places like this... Congratulations!

18/11/2025: At this pizzeria and restaurant, just steps from the Terontola train station, I've often ordered Margherita pizzas for takeout on Sunday lunch. The place has a family feel, very simple and tidy. My review is therefore limited to the quality of the takeout pizza—thin and crispy—which I think is good, and the service, which is always very quick and courteous, with advance phone calls. Good value. Parking is available nearby.

31/08/2025: I've been here several times, always trying different specialties. Their "out of the ordinary" pastries are very appealing, but I've often found them dry, lacking in garnishes or flavor, always leaving me a bit disappointed. They look good in the window, but they're not always the best, especially considering the price. I've also often found the tables dirty and the place generally unkempt, which is a shame, because there's potential.

The location is adequate, though noticeably removed from the city's more vibrant and desirable attractions, which may pose a slight inconvenience for those wishing to explore the area more easily.

24/07/2025: Parking is available on site. Luggage is delivered to and from the room by a service. The complex consists of a 12th-century monastery and other outbuildings. The room is large, clean, and well-equipped. Personally, I missed having a wardrobe to unpack my suitcase. However, we were there for almost a week. Most visitors only stay two to three nights. The outdoor pool is absolutely fantastic. There are plenty of loungers, as long as they aren't double-booked by Americans (sun and shade). We didn't use the rest of the spa area; we were always out and about. The staff is nice and friendly. Breakfast is served on the terrace in good weather, and the selection is good. Now for the negatives: the dinner could definitely be better in terms of quality. We tried the food twice and were disappointed both times. The steak was tough for us, and the steak was tough for the next table two days later. One even went back to the kitchen. My pasta with ragu tasted more like a snack bar. I've been passionate about cooking authentic Italian food for years. I buy authentic Italian products. The food was a complete disappointment. We hadn't expected anything different. We weren't even asked for our opinion at checkout. Nobody seemed to care. Summary: Top-notch facilities and staff, dinner in the village or on the go.

05/10/2025: An unpleasant incident that left me truly perplexed, and for which I wouldn't recommend this place. I went to this pizzeria-restaurant and ordered a sandwich with hamburger, lettuce, tomato, grilled vegetables, and stracciatella. During the meal, some lettuce had fallen onto my plate, and only after I'd finished the sandwich (and I emphasize only after I'd finished the sandwich, if you read carefully; I hadn't noticed before, since the lettuce had fallen onto my plate) was I about to eat it when I noticed a dead bug on that lettuce (and if it's dead, it obviously won't move). It was a bug with legs, not a burnt piece of eggplant, as they would have you believe. I immediately notified the waitress, who went to report the incident to the kitchen. Shortly afterward, she returned, telling me that they'd told her to "don't worry, because they wash it." I don't doubt they wash it, but the fact remains that there was an insect on the plate. It can happen, of course, but what left me most disappointed was the complete lack of attention afterward: no one came to the table to apologize, nor was any kind of courtesy offered (a discount, dessert, any sign of consideration). I paid the bill in full, as if nothing had happened, and that's not at all an excuse to get a discount or anything else, because I don't need one. It's just a matter of knowing how to treat a customer. A real shame, because the place seemed welcoming and the sandwich was quite good—I say quite good because there was more salt than was appropriate… but an incident like that, handled so superficially, truly leaves a bitter taste in the mouth.

05/11/2025: I was pleasantly surprised by the restoration of this historic Impruneta establishment. Strategically located, it overlooks the large square in front of the basilica. A beautiful pergola offers shelter and tranquility. I haven't tried the restaurant, but if the quality and abundance match the pastry shop, I'll definitely try it. The staff is friendly and helpful.

02/11/2025: The breakfast was good, but there was no table service; I understand, everyone ate standing up. There were a lot of colomba cakes outside that they wouldn't let you eat. They even ate a piece of a donut, and we had to go buy another one, yet they charged us for it. Some chairs had colomba feces on them (I hope it's colomba).

23/09/2025: A colleague and I were passing through the area on business, looking for a place to have lunch, but we were stopped by a man who rudely told us that workers weren't welcome! My colleague then replied, "But we're both well-off workers!" She, in turn, said that further on we'd find a restaurant that, "in her opinion," would be more suitable for us!

24/08/2025: Had lunch with my wife and son. A trattoria like in the old days: As soon as we entered, Monica (the owner) welcomed us. Even though she was busy serving other guests, she sat us at our table, which we had previously reserved. We ate: Appetizer with top-quality cured meats and cheeses. 3 types of pasta, all homemade by her: exquisite ravioli with meat sauce Very delicate Maltagliati Tuscan Pici For dessert, Tiramisu All the ingredients are excellent. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy traditional dishes prepared with Monica's dedication and passion. We will definitely be back.
