24/02/2025: Superb place and very kind staff

16/02/2025: Arriving by motorbike we had lunch at the Osteria Il Foro. Everything was perfect and the lunch was excellent, the service was ok, including the owners.

06/04/2025: I went to this restaurant with high expectations, but unfortunately the experience was ruined by truly disappointing service. The wait to order was endless, even though the place was half empty. The staff seemed completely disinterested in customers: no smiles, zero courtesy, and when we finally asked for information about the menu, the answers came listlessly, as if we were bothering them. Furthermore, we had to ask several times for water and the bill arrived after an embarrassing wait. A real shame, because the place has potential, but with such service you won't want to return.

20/01/2025: Very nice and familiar place in a wonderful place, surrounded by nature, excellent hospitality, excellent food, even more so the chilli aperitif!!!!

26/09/2024: Farmhouse immersed in the silence of nature, family and welcoming atmosphere, simple and traditional dishes made with delicious products all at km0. We recommend the omelette with courgettes and courgette flowers and the tronfie with pesto and the chocolate and wine cake rated 10. The owners are exquisite and welcoming people.

05/05/2025: We had a horrible dinner before coming here, so we were hoping to redeem our evening with some dessert and coffee at La Locanda. Sadly, we were treated poorly because we were not ordering dinner. I worked in hospitality for 15 years, and would never change my level of service, regardless of what was being ordered. We likely would have returned here for a full meal during the remainder of our visit to Chianti, but since the staff was very rude, we will certainly not return. The stars are only for the dessert, as it was very unique and delicious.

03/05/2025: I come here regularly – and every time, I’m amazed. The truffle pasta has become a tradition for me, and it’s simply divine. The waiters are exceptionally attentive, friendly, and offer excellent recommendations – the wine choices, like the Bucciarelli Chianti Classico Riserva, have always been spot on. La Locanda di Pietracupa is a truly special place: elegant yet never pretentious. You can feel the dedication of the two female chefs in every dish. It’s a place to enjoy, to relax – right in the heart of Chianti. Absolutely recommended!

11/05/2025: We stopped for lunch on the way home. Very well maintained and welcoming particular restaurant. We had a cheese appetizer and two grilled fillets with side dishes. All accompanied by a good glass of wine recommended to us by those who served us. Everything was to our liking (barricaded grappa at the end of the meal included). Well done.

20/04/2025: Today we had lunch with my family, we go there often because now we feel part of the family, what can I say, we always have a great time, we eat really well and they are always very nice and attentive about everything.... I recommend you go and try it because it deserves a lot, the cuisine is also the pizza of truly professionals and a big heart that always makes you feel at home Thanks see you soon

28/04/2025: We arrived in Lucca late at night on a weekend, so finding a place to eat was a bit of a challenge. Luckily, Mara Meo was able to fit us in. Our waiter was a great guy who was a lot of fun to talk to. He made us feel welcome. We had some pizza and beer and everything was delicious. They have 1L jugs of beer, which was a fun, and I'd recommend it! This place is a great, relaxed environment where you can get some decent food. There were lots of families here, which was a fun environment. I'd recommend it.

27/04/2025: Gluten intolerant, we ate a delicious pizza, super courtesy from the waiters, the service was also very fast (it was a Saturday evening). Too bad there is little choice of flavors for gluten-free pizzas

23/04/2025: Abbiamo soggiornato qui con due bimbe piccole dopo che dei nostri amici ne avevano parlato benissimo. Confermo la bellezza della location e la gentilezza e disponibilità della proprietà. Ottimo anche il loro ristorante. Abbondante la colazione. Ampi e verdi spazi per le bambine .

18/02/2025: Scelta casuale ma decisamente azzeccata. A pranzo domenica scorsa io e mia moglie con una coppia di amici abbiamo mangiato benissimo. Tra primi, secondi, contorni e dolci abbiamo preso tutti piatti diversi (tranne due stinchi) e siamo rimasti soddisfattissimi di ognuna delle portate. Il tutto condito dalla cortesia e disponibilità della ragazza che serviva ai tavoli. Esperienza da ripetere assolutamente visto che c'è ancora molto da assaggiare.

26/04/2025: Piccola struttura posta ai piedi della Rocca di Radicofani. In tutto credo una cinquantina di posti all'interno ed altrettanti all'esterno ma, apriti cielo, un locale veramente speciale. Personale competente e disponibile, puntuale fino all'eccesso, gestisce il punto di ristorazione con risultati eccezionali. Non avrei assegnato 5 stelle se non fosse stato così: pietanze locali caratteristiche come pici in tutte le salse, grigliate miste e, mi sento di consigliare il loro galletto alla brace, veramente notevole. E poi, che dire del panorama splendido a valle oltre alla presenza, veramente ingombrante, della nostra fortezza..... Un' accoppiata vincente !!! Lo consiglio senza riserve.

08/04/2025: After visiting the fortress we ate at the restaurant without great expectations and instead it was the best restaurant of the holiday. I recommend the grill but the first courses are also excellent. The place is suggestive.

24/02/2025: Quando ogni piatto , a prescindere dalla portata, antipasto, primo, secondo....ti fa sentire il mare dentro , vuol dire che in cucina hanno centrato il risultato. Carta menù pulita e concisa.....semplice ma spesso nella semplicità senti la vera forza della materia prima....fresca e cotta a puntino. Non c'è altro da aggiungere, a parte il super rapporto Qualità/prezzo. L'artefice di tutto cio' è Morena, la proprietaria.....fuori gentilezza pura, dentro dinamite!!! Grande Morena , grande staff!!! Parola di Chef.

12/04/2025: Yours is one of those places where we will return periodically for the high quality of the food, for the welcome and for the very charming place. Platter of cured meats, macaroni with octopus ragù and truly delicious tiramisu, for one evening they didn't make us think about the fact that in our new home we are waiting for the delivery of the table, chairs and fridge.... Congratulations guys, yours is a place that makes the village of Lari and the whole surrounding area even more beautiful. Places where we chose to live

03/02/2025: During our visit to the village of Lari and the famous Martelli pasta factory, we decided to have lunch at the I Burattinai restaurant, attracted by their choice to use Martelli pasta. We opted for spaghetti carbonara and sausage, which turned out to be a dish full of flavor and a risotto with porcini mushrooms, creamy and well seasoned. We couldn't resist the temptation to try the prawns wrapped in lard, a real delight for the palate! To end on a high note, we let ourselves be seduced by the Tuscan cantuccini accompanied by vin santo, at the suggestion of the staff. The culinary experience offered by I Burattinai was so satisfying that we already plan to return. A place definitely recommended for those looking for traditional dishes prepared with skill and quality ingredients.
