23/09/2025: Top-notch Italian dishes. Pasta is fantastic, and they also have premium pizza—but go for the fish dishes instead. They serve incredibly fast by German standards, so take your time with your meal. Local Italians come and go here. 😅

09/07/2025: Come and come back. You can find many types of schiacciata made by them and even ravioli, always homemade. Family atmosphere and kindness. They also do home deliveries for companies. It's always worth calling and booking. Highly recommended.

13/09/2025: Only 2 stars because we based our choice of a place for a week's stay on these reviews and were very, very disappointed with the breakfast. 300 euros per night and the same every day, plus an additional 6 euros for an omelet or soft-boiled egg. The lunch selection was also very average. We only ate once. Dinner was also decent, but that was about it. It's better to go to the nearby towns.

10/08/2025: A perfect dinner. The view is spectacular, the food delicious, and the service attentive, friendly but not intrusive. Everything was excellent; I highly recommend it if you're in the area. My favorite dishes were the Pappardelle with venison and porcini mushrooms and the peach and thyme tarte tatin with vanilla ice cream.

18/03/2025: Excellent food, the Livorno-style cod was delicious, and the prices were average. We had a fried artichoke, a picio cacio pepe e tartufo, a cod, two desserts, half a liter of house wine, water, and coffee. We spent €60. I'd go back.

17/11/2025: Hospitality and quality. The restaurant has limited seating (at least in this season, autumn), so booking in advance is recommended. We felt right at home; the food and wine were truly top-quality. I highly recommend stopping here to try their specialties.

21/10/2025: A very simple restaurant near the splendid church of San Cassiano di Controne, above Bagni di Lucca. They bring whatever has been cooked that day, and you eat on a lovely terrace, with no choice. The fixed menu is €25. We started with warm focaccia and continued with meat tortelli, tagliolini with mushrooms, mixed roasts, French fries, and a selection of fried mushrooms, plus dessert and coffee. The first courses were generous and of good quality. The second course left something to be desired: the mixed roasts were sliced ​​very thin, like prosciutto. It's true that they come back to ask if they need more, but slices more suited to a roast would have been appreciated. The French fries are standard, and the fried mushrooms are good, but as mentioned, they were just a sample. Overall, recommended for anyone passing through. I'm not sure I'd go there specifically to visit.

21/09/2025: Great food, elegantly presented, even the non-fish option was delicious. The waiter was very knowledgeable. I'd love to come back!

18/09/2025: Service was rather inadequate and condescending; compared to other tables, the effort was clearly minimal, even though there were only four other tables occupied. The food was fresh, but apart from being fried, nothing else had happened to the ingredients, nothing had been seasoned, and the portions were nowhere near filling, even if you eat several courses in a row. A secondi piatti, for example, contains the following list of ingredients: one prawn, a squid tube cut in half, and a tablespoon-sized piece of tuna placed on something that, with a lot of concentration, can be identified as a vegetable. Other restaurants in the immediate vicinity serve much larger portions of reasonable quality for less money.

11/05/2025: A greeting and a big thank you to the mother and daughters of this small but well-kept place for the excellent food, especially the spectacular crepes with the flavors of the lard and the freshness of the diced tomatoes which create a perfect combination. Thank you for your kindness and for the advice on how to serve the lard that we purchased in a certainly alternative way that you can only discover by going to the Tecchiaiolo and asking for their advice.....

21/10/2025: One of our favorite restaurants in Tuscany. The antipasti buffet is fantastic. The dessert cart is also top-notch! Everything your heart desires. An excellent location for an evening with friends. The staff is very friendly. Truly Italian.
