21/08/2025: I had the pleasure of staying and dining at this delightful place and can't recommend it highly enough. The waiters are incredibly kind, always attentive and caring. The rooms are excellent, meticulously maintained, and super clean: I slept wonderfully. Breakfast was a special treat: warm, fragrant, and fluffy brioche col tuppo, paired with unforgettable granitas, one pistachio and one almond, both truly superb. For dinner, I tried two versions of swordfish: grilled, perfectly seasoned, and Sicilian-style, rich in authentic flavors. Kudos to the chef for the excellent quality and passion that shines through in her dishes. Special praise goes to the two young men and the young woman in the dining room: professional, polite, and always smiling, they made our stay even more enjoyable. A wonderful experience that I definitely want to repeat: I will definitely be back!

11/08/2025: I hadn't been there in at least 30 years, and I'm sure it's changed. The pizza is good, and the staff is friendly and helpful.

12/07/2025: Yesterday at Seby and Chiara's wedding, I encountered a couple of problems, the most serious of which was: I arrived at the restaurant, sat down, and was swarmed by flies. They kindly turned off the light, then I asked the waitress with the curly red hair if they could please change the plates, glasses, and silverware. She replied: You do it, I have other things to do than be rude. Regarding the food, the pizzas were good, too. If I have a ceremony like a birthday party or any other event, I prefer to go somewhere else.

03/05/2025: It is clear from this that reviews are for fools but justice must be done here. I celebrated my 39th birthday and it was one of the best I've ever celebrated. The owner of the house is a good man, he doesn't use French words AND IT DOES VERY GOOD because he doesn't make fun of you. Its answer lies in the quality of everything it offers you. Forever in my heart. Congratulations for your love and dedication

12/07/2025: To forget. I booked a banquet for 50 people well in advance, choosing it specifically for the beauty of the exterior. Three days before the event, I was moved to another area of the villa due to the addition of other guests to another event on the same day. I accepted, understanding the situation. The very morning of my event, I received a call to inform me that over 100 people had been added to the other event and that I would no longer be able to use the exterior. This forced me to move entirely to a venue with no exterior and completely different from the vision I had envisioned for my event, which had been organized down to the last detail. You can imagine the stress, anger, and frustration I faced on a day that was supposed to be one of celebration and serenity. I've never seen or heard anyone tell me they had to change venues or even days (because I was even advised to change days, but the reason was my own, not theirs!), despite booking well in advance, giving priority to another event with more people, and completely ignoring the requests we had agreed upon from the start. Moral of the story: at 1:00 PM that same day, I had to completely reorganize an event elsewhere.

10/05/2025: I ragazzi sono simpatici e super accoglienti! Il posto è dentro al mercato, piccolino ma con tavolini e sedie comode. Il pesce è freschissimo, c’è una scelta abbondante in base al pescato del giorno. Veramente consigliato! Se volete mangiare pesce fresco, bere un bicchiere di vino e assaporare l’aria di mare e l’atmosfera del mercato, è il posto che fa per voi! :)

02/05/2025: Cibo scadente, servizio lentissimo e lunghi tempi di attesa, prezzi alti (guardatevi dalla vecchia quando vi fa il conto) un antipasto per 4 (unico piatto) al prezzo di 4 singoli antipasti, 2 litri di acqua 7 euro.

09/09/2025: We were delighted. Recommendations. The room was large, clean and tidy. The food was good. The staff was more than friendly. A wonderful place to relax for the soul and body.

02/09/2025: This review refers exclusively to the lack of customer service regarding cancellations – I did not visit the hotel myself. A deposit was required for my reservation. According to the booking confirmation and terms and conditions, cancellations up to 5 days before arrival are free of charge and the deposit will be refunded. The hotel does not adhere to this. Several emails remained unanswered, and I received no information on the phone or a call back. I have now been waiting for over 5 weeks for a refund of my deposit or at least a response.

13/09/2025: I'm not sure if the sauna is included in the price or not due to the air conditioning being off.

11/09/2025: Close cinemas. Don't enforce silence in the theater during the movie, to the detriment of customers who pay to watch a film in peace. So, don't offer any service while charging for tickets. Change your profession.

08/09/2025: We came here for lunch with friends after a brief visit to Palazzolo in August. The experience was incredibly positive: two of us ate gluten-free, and both the wait staff and the kitchen went out of their way to accommodate us. We had two amazing first courses (mine with delicious sun-dried tomatoes!), house antipasti, and two salads, both of which were also fantastic.

05/06/2025: Pranzo veloce con amici. La location è ottima nel centro del borgo di fronte alla stupenda cattedrale. Abbiamo ordinato una grigliata di pesce che però nonostante la cottura fosse tutto sommato regolare, il pesce risultava carbonizzato e di fatto cattivo al gusto. Al cuoco va detto di pulire la griglia....! altrimenti le pietanze vengono rovinate dalla presenza di parti bruciate di precedenti cotture. Tra l'altro queste non si riescono a togliere, danno un pessimo aspetto al piatto, un pessimo sapore, ma sopratutto son nocive alla salute. Anche bruschetta e insalata di finocchi erano presentate in modo approssimativo....pur con materie prime valide. Il pane della bruschetta tagliato tropo grosso risultava difficile da mangiare oltre che anche questo bruciacchiato ma non cotto a sufficienza e i finocchi tagliati così spessi che si faticavano a masticare. Peccato.

12/03/2025: We chose this restaurant based on the good reviews. Unfortunately, I don't understand it at all. The service was bored and disinterested; Sicilian specialties were basically out of stock. A wet plate with wet salt packets arrived at the table without comment, along with bread and half a bottle of oil. I would have liked to order olives and a piece of pecorino, as the bread was fresh and delicious. The waiter didn't even look at us, even though we were the only guests, along with two others. A simple insalata mista for €10 consisted of a shallow dessert plate, just as shallowly filled. On top, some iceberg lettuce and some radiccio. The main course, touristy calamari fritti, was OK, but overpriced for its quantity and simplicity. It's a shame; with more interest in the customer, some of these mistakes could have been overlooked. And we would have gladly paid extra for the dolce vita, if we had had the money!

14/08/2025: I went in to get a bottle of water from the fridge at the entrance, and the owner outside yelled that I had to pay first. I didn't pay any attention at the time, as he was outside and I was concentrating on getting water from the fridge, being very thirsty (the place wasn't crowded at all, in fact, empty). Since he was standing outside the door, I didn't think he was mad at me (also because he was referring to several people outside; I had already entered). He looked like a customer, and I wasn't expecting a bar owner to start yelling like he did at a local market. So I went to get water from the fridge, and he told me to "don't be so arrogant," translated from Sicilian, when I hadn't even considered it in the first place. Then he proceeds to (still yelling) say that the water isn't cold because it was just put in, so in his opinion there was no point in me taking it, as if I had the ability to predict before entering the bar whether the water in the fridge had been put in recently or a long time ago, without first touching it. I always drink it at room temperature, so he started yelling pointlessly at a potential customer. Due to his manner, I told him that this was no way to treat customers, and he even said I was disrespectful (I didn't yell or insult him at all, unlike him), when he literally yelled at me two seconds after entering the bar. Finally, as I was about to pay, I told him that if he kept going, I'd go to another bar. As soon as the transaction turned green on the POS, he told me with a haughty air that there weren't any other bars open at the moment, since it was night. In reality, all I had to do was take a couple of steps outside and there were plenty of them. One of the meanest owners I've ever met, I will never feel the need to enter this place again!

19/08/2025: You’d be surprised that an apparent touristic restaurant facing the cathedral would have such simple ( in the best sense) and delicious food. Italians rarely get it wrong and our waiter Pablo made us feel quite welcome.

17/08/2025: A nightmare experience: kicked out to free up a table I've never written such a negative review, but the experience we had at this restaurant was nothing short of unacceptable. From the start, the service was rude and rushed, making us feel more like a nuisance than a customer. But the worst came at the end of the dinner. As we were finishing our last glass of wine and chatting, a waiter approached us and bluntly asked us to leave. The excuse? "We need the table for another group." It wasn't a polite request, but a full-blown eviction. We were shocked. Paying a hefty bill to be treated this way is simply unacceptable. It's clear that the management of this restaurant has no respect for their customers and is only interested in maximizing profits, treating people like numbers. I strongly advise against this place for anyone looking not only for good food but also for a modicum of decency and professional service. There are plenty of other restaurants in the city that are worth your time and money.

08/09/2025: In Sicily to savor Sicilian food. Very good Sicilian pizza. Fresh and flavorful ingredients. Friendly and attentive service. Outdoor seating in the summer; breezy and pleasant in the evenings.
