15/06/2025: Ogni qual volta vengo a Lipari per vacanze, questo ristorante è una tappa fissa. Personale gentilissimo e molto preparato, piatti della tradizione eoliana rivisitati con maestria e delicatezza. Il gelato al rosmarino ormai è un must che non puó mancare! Mangiare in questo giardino curatissimo è un momento che ormai non può mancare durante le mie vacanze a Lipari. Lo consiglio vivamente!

Il cibo, di tradizione eoliana, è rivisitato ma non stravolto ed è superlativo dal primo al dolce . Impiattamento molto bello pur mantenendo porzioni abbondanti Ci ritorno da anni e non delude mai

13/07/2025: I've been there more than once, and the food is truly excellent. The dishes are plentiful, and we even had seconds. Last Sunday, we were a group of six. It was very hot, and the outdoor dining area, set up with air conditioning and fans, was comfortable. In addition to tables like ours, there was also a banquet. Suddenly, the Maître d' thought it best to unplug a fan near our tables without saying anything and instead increase the ventilation at the banquet. Dear Maître d', I remind you that there are no first-class customers and second-class customers. Luckily, the waiter who complained about this situation took the fan back against the Maître d''s wishes. Unfortunately, not everyone is professional when they work and they ruin the image of a superlative establishment. See you next time.

15/07/2025: Excellent quality food. All very good, both the starters and the pizza. The desserts also looked good but I didn't try them. Friendly staff, quick service. The outdoor tables positioned in the square spaced apart and with umbrellas that protect from humidity complete the setting.

04/07/2025: Nice and quiet environment, but the service needs to be reviewed, too much waiting, the management of orders at the table and the service is really appalling; long waits, confusion of the staff, mistakes .... but honestly after about an hour and a half of waiting the pizza was quite good, I recommend the place but arm yourself with patience

21/07/2025: A dream vacation combined with our yoga retreat. We were warmly welcomed, pampered, and felt completely at home. Villa Ginevra is surrounded by mountains. Mediterranean luxury for all the senses. Thank you so much for everything, Anja and Wolfgang

17/04/2025: We did a little tour with four different hotels and resorts. From luxurious resorts to simple agruturismo accommodation, everything was there. Villa Ginevra is just a few minutes from Brolo and is easy to find. Beautifully located!! We received a personal and very warm welcome and were shown around. The Swiss owner couple are very lovely and friendly!! We were the only guests on the first night, on the second and third days we had company from a small German yoga group. The entire property is very well maintained and everything coordinates perfectly. The pool is beautifully located, but unfortunately it was too cold at that time of year and couldn't be used. In summer you can definitely enjoy your time by the pool there. Problems with the refrigerator and toilet flushing were resolved immediately. We booked early directly through the hotel website with an early bird discount offered with a non-cancellable room. We really liked the super double room with the extra bed for a third person on the upper floor. Unfortunately, it was only possible to specify two people when booking online because it was advertised as a double room, although it can accommodate three people. In the addition I stated that we were bringing our six-year-old son with us. After we checked in we were informed that there would be a separate charge of €70 per night for the child! That was more than the prorated adult rate in the room. We found this price too much for our child, but unfortunately we didn't respond to our request. What a shame! That spoiled the vacation a little because we had paid a lot of money for the three nights. You pay for the view and the atmosphere here. The breakfast on the second and third days was good, as additional food was offered due to the arrival of the yoga group, which had booked half board with brunch. However, on the first day the breakfast was a bit slimmed down as we were the only guests. However, we would have expected more for this room price. The room itself was fine, but a bit damp due to the climate. It is a separate building/small stone house. You have to ventilate a lot so that the moisture doesn't collect, but our clothes were a bit damp after the third day and smelled accordingly. A few little things in the room, such as a kettle, bottle of water or at least glasses, would have been desirable. No German TV channel available, no streaming possible. (It was only interesting for our child). Table football was again a nice highlight. The beautiful location and how well everything has been renovated are absolutely stunning, but everything is geared more towards groups and weddings. The restaurant will not be opened for individual guests in the evening. The area is very large, there are many olive trees and the food is homemade. The jams and bread in the morning were delicious and reflected a bit of the vaunted agroturismo charm. Overall, however, the price-performance ratio was not right in the previous season. When we asked the receptionist to discuss our concerns directly with the owner, we were more or less refused and we were asked to pay directly upon arrival. We found that a bit bold and would have liked to have been more accommodating here. We generally travel very frequently, so we can summarize this.

22/06/2025: The appetizer I chose "Bruschetta with tomato sauce, French fries and fried bread" was delicious 👌🏻! But the pizza is very good! 👏🏻. And the fruits like the yellow melon were exquisite. And let's not forget the drinks like water and Fanta very refreshing. 😌

13/06/2025: my first time at this place and I have to say I was really impressed. I had heard good things about it, but my expectations were far exceeded. As soon as I entered, the environment made a good impression on me: modern, clean and welcoming, the staff was very kind right from the start, ready to explain the menu and advise me on what to try. I really recommend it.

30/06/2025: Great experience. I already knew this restaurant (the term "trattoria" is a show but we are talking about a great restaurant). Magnificent terrace, excellent and polite service. A little more flavor in the spaghetti with anchovies and they would have been perfect. The freshly seared albacore steak was a spectacle. Too bad the squid are not on the menu. Well done, encores

29/07/2025: The pizza was incredibly good, and the staff were quick to help us find a place for our strollers even after we'd lifted them ourselves. The atmosphere was truly chic!

28/07/2025: I came in to pick up two quality pizzas to go, and left with two mediocre pizzas... and after a *1 hour and 35 minute wait*! I was warned there would be a "wait" of over 40 minutes. No problem, we're waiting. I never thought the wait would have allowed me to get back to Palermo; I literally had time to watch an entire movie on my phone. The organization is catastrophic. Takeout orders only seem to be a priority when there's no one there. As soon as the restaurant is full, you're completely forgotten on a couch at the entrance. You have to know how to turn away customers when you're not able to serve them. The reception is handled by a cashier who describes herself as a "conductor"... but who knows nothing about music. She seems to be there mainly to take the money, with no consideration for her customers. We were seated in a corner with couches, without a word, without a glass of water, in the stifling heat. I received no response after an hour and 15 minutes of waiting, so that, from what I saw, the pizzas were already ready. After another 10 minutes of waiting, seeing two pizza boxes sitting next to the cashier—she herself had clearly been waiting for a good fifteen minutes—I returned to the counter to ask how much longer I had to wait. Finally, I was given my two pizzas, which had been sitting on the counter for about 25 minutes, as if I was supposed to guess they were for me. Contrary to other negative reviews, my pizzas weren't dry. On the contrary, they were soaked in olive oil or excess fat; I can't say exactly. They were barely the size of my hand and, of course, they were cold, like the ones you buy at a regular bakery. My hungry children devoured them, but because of the amount of oil, the pizzas ended up in the trash. *Conclusion:* In Santa Teresa di Riva, there are many smaller, much nicer establishments with much better pizzas and quality service. I advise the cashier to stay back, in the accounting department, and leave the reception to someone more cheerful and business-like. For your information, I'm a restaurant professional, and I fight every day to avoid this kind of situation in my establishments. Thank you for providing me with a textbook example that should definitely not be repeated.

08/08/2025: We took 2 sea breams, one was good cocked other was undercooked and meat was sticked to bone. Waitress told that it is not their fault because 10 min is enough for fish to cook

05/07/2025: We were there for lunch and were placed under a cover made of wood and bamboo canes. It was very hot, luckily two large fans moved the air and created some relief. The place is really nice, it works a lot with tourists and this unfortunately is reflected in the dishes. There were many of us and we were able to try a bit of everything on the menu, so I can "push myself further" with the reviews. But I would start with the service to which I gave two stars: there were only us, a table of twelve, a few tables that in the meantime were finishing lunch. We arrived around 13:10 and to have lunch with appetizers and some first courses plus dessert we had to wait a long time which the heat did not help. The appetizers started to arrive around 14:/15-20, the first courses around 15. Drinks were served immediately and obviously reheated in the meantime of the wait, but luckily ice was served, but on request. An appetizer mentioned red shrimp and some prawns were served, probably Argentinian, obviously frozen products and not fresh. An explanation was asked about this topic, but the answer was not very polite and unfortunately very far-fetched. We didn't want to insist, the incongruity was obvious to everyone and at the table there was my dear little sister, a cooking expert as well as sous chef and wife of a well-known chef from Salento with a long experience. Moving on to the dishes, all in all some were really good: the caponata, the burratine (they could have added a few more peppers and perhaps mentioned the presence of ricotta mousse on the menu), the prawns themselves were good. A little less so the seafood salad, which although presented really well, had very hard cuttlefish and was not very pleasant to chew; the crouton with squid was instead with octopus cut into strips, also an incongruity here, but apart from this it was really hard to chew. Orecchiette good, but the sauce was a bit acidic. Black spaghetti very good and so was the grill. The wait for desserts was long, however the tiramisu was good, the sgroppino not to be judged, served unmixed and without a teaspoon to make it ourselves. Mango sorbet: although the sorbet was good, the mango (still frozen) had no flavor. I hope they fix a few details to reach a level that is certainly higher and within the reach of the structure. The service needs to speed up a lot and I don't dare to imagine the times it would have taken if it had been full.

20/07/2025: Excellent pizza, good value, and friendly service, with attentive and friendly staff. The restaurant, located on a promontory near the SS113, enjoys a splendid view of the Aeolian Islands.

18/07/2025: There were five of us and we ordered pizza, a can of Coke, 1 liter of wine, 1 bottle of water, 1 tiramisu, and 1 sorbet for a total of 80 euros. The pizzas were delicious and the bill was quite reasonable, I'd say. The place is also very nice. I highly recommend it.
